I highly recommend WillPower Fitness. I contacted WillPower Fitness to find a personal trainer, and found credible trainers with comprehensive personal training programs to help me to reach my goals. (exactly as it's advertised) How I see the gym environment: It's a great, welcoming community with music playing, natural light, and trainers coaching members through sets and reps. You can hear encouragement to members on that last rep, telling them they can do it. They have the variety of equipment, activity, and resources you need. The trainers are somehow attentive to the entire gym, keep everyone busy, communicate well, and have the knowledge I wish I had about the body and its needs...from weight-loss to elite athlete programs. How it started for me: I came to my first session with defined fitness goals and a lot of my printouts from previous 'training programs.' That first day we jumped right into a training session, and I assumed it was to evaluate my fitness level. A few days later, I found out that my trainer actually read those grids from past trainers -- I was impressed he cared. He explained the target muscle groups of my previous program versus how the body works and the strength I need to build. When I competed in the past I never felt fit in the right way, and paired with this logical justification, it made sense that my training needed an adjustment. My updated program focuses on finding maximum efficiency and developing the muscles needed to perform intervals over a long period of time. Plus, building strength in the right way to support joints and mobility, which I assume helps me avoid injury. It is definitely worth it.
Jerome is an exceptional health coach and personal trainer. My experiences with him have been nothing short of fantastic. He clearly is very well educated about health and fitness. He makes workouts exciting while also taking the care and time to inform you about the proper technique and body maintenance required to improve one's fitness. Jerome really brings an incredibly positive and energetic approach to workout sessions. He has skill in both personal, and group sessions, being able to go from one to the other without missing a beat. Jerome displays a genuine care for those he works with and he can very easily set the pace, or go with the client's needs and restrictions. Jerome truly is a remarkable employee and representative of YouFit gyms, and he has motivated me to continue with my subscription and sign up to future programs in order to improve my health and fitness. I've worked with a few personal trainers during my life and her professional manner as well as coaching style is just what we needed. I look forward to continuing to work with her, and despite the muscle soreness after our sessions gym time is one of the things I like forward to every week.
I started out underweight and had pretty much no fitness experience. Berto has helped me turn my own physical health into a sustainable lifestyle. Over the last two and a half months I've gained fifteen pounds of muscle and I feel great! The community at Modevo Fitness is supportive and friendly. Berto is laid back but pushes me to do my best. I'm leaving the state in a few months and I'm bummed because I wish I'd found this place sooner. I'd highly recommend For Them Gainz (in fact I'm trying to get my parents to go) and I'm grateful that I've had the chance to work with Berto.
There is little in the world that I truly despise but among that reviled group are physical labor and natural light. Apparently, I'm more suited for a life in Victorian England than the modern day. This fact is only germane to a review of Cody, Jay and Julia's significant talents in that it serves to illustrate the Everestian hurdles they surmounted in order to get me to reliably extract myself from comforter and pillow each morning at 5am. Against a lifetime of instincts and preferences, I plod wearily into Kronos four mornings a week and emerge an hour later in better health and with a brighter attitude. Cody, Jay and Julia are possessed of a drive toward fitness powered by an orientation toward health. They have caused me to assign importance to my physical fitness in a way that the medical community was never able. Cody is brilliant in his mastery of anatomy and kinesiology. I am already seeing differences in my posture and form due to his patient guidance. Jay, for all of his geniality while chatting, is a man of single focus in the gym and will drive every last burpee, pushup and pullup from you, leaving you better for the effort. Julia in her kindness is capable of both humbling and driving you in the same sentence. There are already many times that I have come against a challenge at Kronos and fallen short of its completion. Its Julia that has dusted me off and pointed me in the right direction. If you want to run on a treadmill for an hour and then brag to your friends about it over a 7,000 calorie brunch, go to 24 hour fitness. If you want a gym with a team that truly cares about your progress and individual needs, go to Kronos Strength and Fitness. I'm still not fond of natural light and the great outdoors but the people at Kronos are changing my mind about physical exertion and fitness.
I was unable to secure a time with Tom. The issue seemed to be around his availabilty. He initially wanted only weekday hours for training which didn't work for me as an adult with a traditional full time schedule. We then had a brief conversation about finding a Saturday AM time when he found out he could only rent lanes at his rec center at very restricted times. I was pleased about trying to find a Sat AM appointment but then Tom lost contact all together. There don't appear to be many swim instructors for adults in the area and I think given his background Tom could have a very robust business but it is going to require off hour availability as the majority of adults who have enough expendable income for a swim coach will work more traditional schedules.
Daria, is a great yoga coach/trainer. Im a beginner and wanted to quickly learn the absolute correct form and postures quickly, so i can join a yoga class and participate without injury. In 3 one on one classes, we achieved that goal. Totally worth it!
I highly recommend Chris and both her personal training and her classes. I am just getting back to the gym and Chris has made it fun and very effective. I truly appreciate how she has personalized my training and the difference she has made in my physical health. I highly recommend Chris for people of all fitness levels!
I worked with Michael Aquilar for about 3mos and cannot say enough about what a wonderful experience it was. I really needed help with diet, smoking and alcohol as well as a strong desire to not only lose weight but to also gain strength. In the 3mos with Michael I was able to lose almost 20lbs of fat and showed very noticeable muscle definition. Michael takes a very personal approach to each session and is not there to make the experience awful. As many people know starting a workout regimen after, in my case, years of sedentary life is difficult. I needed help and not only did Michael ease me into it, what he had me do from an exercise and diet perspective started to take place in the first week. I was blown away that just 3 visits a week (with some personal exercise outside of sessions with Michael) would work as well as it did and has. I cannot recommend Michael Aguilar enough. If you're worried about going to gyms, fear judgement on how you think you look or are just simply not sure a personal trainer is for you I think you should give Michael a shot. He'll change your perspective on health and just how much diet and exercise can really change your life.
I have never been very active or interested in fitness, but finally push came to shove and I started feeling very down and out about my body, I was very nervous at first, scared that it would be embarrassing or worse, I would be working with someone who made me feel uncomfortable or that I didn't like. Karisa was like a breath of fresh air, all my fears fell away with our first meeting! She is very friendly and professional and made me feel comfortable immediately! It did not take long before I started seeing results, and feeling more confident. Even though she pushed me hard, she continuously made me feel capable and like I could do it. We really built a trust and friendship, I was excited to meet with her, it became kind of like therapy, and like I was getting to hang out with a good motivating girlfriend. I was feeling stronger, more energized, and overall healthy in no time. She continued to push me, even when I didn't want to work, and she continued to motivate me and help me see results. I never felt bad or judged if cheated my diet, and I learned so much about myself, my nutrition and my fitness! I love working with Karisa, and will continue to work with her. I would recommend anyone to work with Karisa! She helped me work out a lot of problems I didn't even know I was having, physically, mentally and emotionally! After working with Karisa I can honestly say I have found a new level of wellness that I could not have done without her. She genuinely changed my life. Thanks for being an awesome fitness coach!!

Martino is very punctual and patient. He listens to your needs and goals and then helps design a program that will help you reach them. He always checks to make sure he is challenging you, but not pushing you so much you would get hurt. He is concerned about your health and your future and does not want you to get injured. He is perfect for anyone wanting to change their life by getting in shape!
3D Fitcamp with Luan has changed my life. I started taking bootcamp classes with Luan in June 2016. This literally was my very first experience doing anything resembling training. Let me back the story up to September 2015. I was fat. Huge even. I weighed 298 and exercise was not a part of my life. I decided to dump that shitty existence and lost a hundred pounds on my own- walking and not eating any crap food. That was hard but really only the beginning. I knew that to fully realize the potential of not only my body but my health I needed a trainer who understood how the body works and how to manifest the transformation from never having been in any way athletic to at least mastering the basic mechanics of movement. I was all personality and next to zero in coordination. In the beginning I tripped jumping rope. Grunted doing a squat. Was appalled attempting a burpee. UNABLE to jump onto a box. I would stare at that boxstep. Pace towards and around it. Mumble oaths. Try not to weep. Luan believed in me. He encouraged me. He cajoled me to trust myself. I imagined broken teeth, humiliation, judgement, scorn, any number of ridiculous scenarios - but not Luan. He knew somewhere beyond my ingrained fat girl self-loathing was an athlete of sorts. I mean yeah not Olympian (yet!) but definitely Varsity! So six weeks into my boot camp sessions I nailed the leap from fear to belief from floor to box. Luan got me there- by not babying me, by not bullying me, by not yelling at me- but by coaching me and encouraging me and by expecting me to believe in myself enough to trust my body and forgive myself for those years I lived in a body that was a stranger to me. I really can't stress enough how transformative 3D Fitcamp and Luan have been for me personally as well as the others who train and sweat alongside of me. It's great fit for everyone- the class is a team really- every level- we encourage one another to go beyond what we thought we could do within the challenges Luan has for us each day. Every session is different from the day prior so we never get bored or exhausted from overstressed muscle groups. Luan works with us on our nutrition, has mini challenges and insists we be accountable to ourselves nutritionally and physically. He understands that he is not only a coach but an educator and a friend. I have never once doubted that meeting Luan and trusting this process was just as revolutionary for my health as losing a hundred pounds.
