Quick response.. Exactly what I was looking for in guitar lessons. Everyone was very helpful. Thank you.
She's amazing at what she does and she's the best vocal teacher then I've met, can't wait to go back to her for a second time
Kitty has changed my vocals for the better 100% in just three lessons. As a professional musician and teacher, Kitty has all of the right tools for me. Kitty is passionate about what she is doing and cares about me achieving my goals as a singer. I am so pleased with her teaching methods and getting the right results. Awesome!
Mary is extremely patient and knowledgeable. Great teacher for beginners like myself!
My 12 year old daughter absolutely loves taking lessons with Katie! Emmy has always been shy but loves to sing. Ever since she started lessons last fall, she has gained so much confidence and she is becoming less and less nervous to sing in front of us. Katie is always thoughtful and patient, and Emmy looks forward to her lesson every week.
Have been taking singing lessons for a month so far and it is so much fun. I always leave with a smile on my face and progressively getting better week by week. Rosalind is a great teacher, very enthusiastic and has been amazing. Looking forward to my next lesson!!
Taylor makes taking guitar lessons fun rather than feel like work. I get to choose what I want to learn at my own pace
Michael has given voice lessons to two of our kids and to me. His is a fantastic teacher -- creative, encouraging, and effective in getting the best of any voice.
My 10 year old daughter has been taking singing lessons from Paul for the past 2 years, (recently added guitar lessons) -- I cannot even put into words how awesome he is as an teacher. Just the right amount of nurturing, positive encouragement and fun. And he comes with years and years of "in the business" experience, so his advice really carries weight. It's a bit of a drive from where we are to get to him, but we cannot even imagine going to anyone else. Daughter literally looks forward to each lesson (this is the same person that groans every morning about school, just to give some context). Worth the drive. Worth the cost.
Working with Kathryn is the ideal situation. She is extremely knowledgeable about vocal technique and pedagogy, so she has a wealth of tools and approaches she can employ at any given time when a student is confronted with a vocal obstacle. She is always encouraging, supportive, invested, and very professional. On top of it all, Kathryn has opened up my sound exponentially and in a way that is equally as healthy as it is strong. I would recommend her voice lessons to any of my singing friends or family tenfold.
I have known Susan for 20 years, and started taking lessons with her at age 3. Susan's training was instrumental in helping me achieve my dreams. I credit Susan with helping me book my first broadway musical, and having performed at the highest level, I can say with complete confidence that Susan is truly a world class voice teacher. Susan's prodigious skill in the art of voice training enables her to bring out excellence in all of her students, and take them to a higher caliber of singing then they ever thought possible. Perhaps most importantly, Susan is a pleasure to work with, and her enthusiasm for her craft is contagious. I'm honored to call Susan my friend and mentor.
My son started working with Tom a couple years ago. The difference Tom has made for my son has been great. Tom has really helped him find his voice. We started taking lessons in person. Tom moved away from our city several months ago and, thankfully, we have been able to continue the lessons online which has been terrific. Tom has been particularly great helping my son prepare pieces for auditions for musical theater. The results have been great. I highly recommend Tom for lessons, both in person or online.
Ive studied voice with a number of teachers, including some in New York who teach Broadway and opera professionals. John Peters is by far the most knowledgeable and effective I have ever seen. John can, of course, act as a coach to help you prepare for auditions and performances. But John's unique strengths are that he really understands how the body works to produce good sounds, and he knows how to communicate to his students so they can get it, too. If you are a beginner and its surprising, most of us actually are, even if weve studied with other teachers for years John has a series of exercises to get your breathing and vocal cords working the way they should. If youre an experienced singer, John is uncanny at immediately identifying the flaws in your technique and assigning special vocal exercises that address them specifically. He quickly enlarged my range from barely an octave-and-half to way more than two octaves, got my tone to resonate much more richly, and developed my vibrato into a dependable part of my voice that I could control. I recommend John very highly. He's that very rare vocal professional who is equally at home teaching the whole gamut from rock singing to country music to Broadway and opera "legit" technique. Whether youre a beginner who wants to sound better, or a working professional who wants to take his or her career to the next level, John knows how to pitch his instruction to you as an individual and help you achieve your goals.
My niece has attended piano and voice lessons with Maja Lisa for 2 years and we will continue to do so. Maja Lisa keeps things fun and interesting while they are learning. For the voice portion of the lesson she uses games to exercise the vocal cords such as the "color game" and the "yummy food game". My niece probably doesn't realize but sometimes she even does those exercises at home. Maja Lisa lets her sing any song she wants and works with her to practice ways to better the song. She is very patient and caring when it comes to the piano lessons and always willing to answer questions. I have found on my side of things that when I need to reschedule a lesson Maja Lisa is always accommodating and professional. I would highly recommend Maja Lisa Voice Studio to anyone looking for a charming and personable teacher.
I went to Debra for voice lessons, she is an amazing teacher. She really helped me grasp concepts and helped me improve my vocal performance in a way I never imagined. She is a great teacher and I reccomend her for anyone looking to serisiosly improve their singing ability.
Cory has helped transform my instrument in three distinct ways. One, he has a dynamic understanding of vocal pedagogy, it's not just the feeling but the "how and why" of the voice. His techniques have expanded my range, breath control, and vocal interpretation of music. Most important, he listens to my needs, advocates for my unique sound, and partner's with me to make quality music. Lessons with Cory take work! You and your voice are center stage, and I feel I leave with a complete understanding of healthy singing and musicianship!!!
Tammy has been a great vocal teacher! I have definitely noticed a change in my voice and I have grown more confident with singing. Tammy has also been very patient with me as I didn’t have much musical training before starting lessons. I would 100% recommend her to anyone!
Miss Macri is an incredibly professional and educated teacher. I take voice and piano lessons with her and could not be happier. It has been a dream of mine to be able to perform in front of others. Miss Macri is patient and encouraging as I try to sing and play piano at the same time. After a year of lessons I just played my first open mic and received compliments from my family, friends and even a few strangers!!! So I would definitely recommend Miss Macri to anyone interested in starting or honing their music skills!
I love going to Jana's classes. Not only is she a great instructor of singing but she is also an all a around wonderful person. She shares her experiences and life with you in a way that makes you believe in yourself and your strength as an individual and as an artist. She has a great, bubbly personality and makes you feel very comfortable about your voice and your abilities, and she helps you to grow in that aspect and in many others. I definitely recommend Jana as a singing instructor for anyone.

I pay attention to how my students learn. I listen to their needs and craft their lessons to fit them, not a standard learning pattern.
