Top notch editor. Mr. Daniel Lindley has edited more than one of my articles, and he is wonderful at tidying up a resume! I would rate him an 11 out of 10.

Jennifer Collins edited my long work "Conner Sees a Shrink". This book has an extremely personal attachment to me, and after writing it 3 years ago and sitting on it while trying to re-edit it to reach a readable standard, I was ready to just put it in a file drawer and call it quits. After having two friends recommend Ms. Collins to me as an editor, I decided to give her the one chance I was willing to take to see if she could find those things within it that were keeping me from being able to "save it". Well, after getting the edited manuscript back from Ms. Collins, (in less that a week!) she pointed out the exact things that I had been missing by being too close to the work myself. Now I am excited once again to fix up the book and finally prepare to publish it! She was thorough, imaginative and aware of the things that were bogging down an otherwise well flowing story. She has the insight to handle your editing job, and makes herself available to answer any questions you may have. I am so relieved in finding my "Editor-for-Life!" Dean M. Watts

October 22, 2015 To whom it may concern, I confirm that I have known Louise Stone for three years and during those years, she has become a good friend and co-worker. Louise started with me as a creative writing student in a class that I offered for senior citizens in my area. I am a published author who writes under the name, K. Lorraine, and I have more than a dozen published books. Louise has a natural talent for writing. As she progressed with her writing skills, it became apparent that she was a good proofreader. I began working with Louise in both areas of proofreading and copy editing. She is a conscientious and honest person, hard working and works her magic in a timely way. Louise has a willingness to learn new things. She has grown in her skill set through her efforts. Louise has assisted in proofreading and editing my last two books. She has become quite knowledgeable about the process of self publishing with Create Space. She has to her credit, experience in assembling an entire book, including the use of templates to create the front cover design and the back jacket blurb. I have been happy with Louise Stone and her work. Although Louise is new to the literary industry, I would recommend her to anyone in need of a good proof reader/copy editor. I would be happy to provide more information if needed. Sincerely, Kathleen Wiederhold Punken1947@live.com (239) 599-8418

About

My writing career started as a child, when I used to type out my own newspaper in my bedroom closet and pen my own (poorly written) poems. I’ve been writing and editing professionally for 16 years, a career that’s brought me from the basement of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts (where I worked for Stagebill magazine) to the hallowed halls of the Kiplinger Washington Editors to my own home in Florida, where I now work on a freelance basis. I’ve interviewed celebrities (Gwyneth Paltrow, Tori Spelling, Tim Gunn), business owners, artists, interior decorators, athletes, professors, and chefs while working on stories about topics ranging from cooking and home decorating to marketing and green building. I know the right questions to ask to craft a story that’s interesting, lively, insightful, and well written. And my years spent working as an editor mean that I turn in copy that’s clean and grammatically correct (and can help clients edit the work of other writers as well). If you’re in need of a freelance writer or editor, I’d love to discuss how I can address those needs.
