I am new to Ukulele and did not read music. After 3 lessons, in my home I am confident that I can play the ukulele. Dan is helpful and encouraging. Did I tell you I am 62 years old and new to music? Dan really knows his music! And is helping me towards my goal of playing Somewhere Over the Rainbow.

My daughter was going to an established music school and being taught by a young lady who had no teaching experience. She asked for the experienced teacher but was given the young lady anyway. She just seemed to screech out songs. We almost gave up thinking well maybe she just cant sing. Thank God we did a search voice teachers in Deerfield and found this website. My daughter went to Mr Townsel and it was amazing! He actually teaches! He described so articulately how to sing while demonstrating how to breathe correctly and suddenly her voice came out! His method of teaching is so amazing and his way of explaining to my daughter who is a little shy how to find her voice was awesome! She had lost her confidence but Mr Townsel made her feel comfortable and yet challenged her. He is excellent! We are sooo happy we found him!

My seven year old son began taking piano lessons for the first time about one year ago. We tried several teachers until Zachary found one that he liked. Zach has had a one hour lesson per week at Mr. Bennett's studio. Zach has progressed nicely and really loves his lessons and playing and practicing at home. The lessons are a mix of serious teaching and effort, and laughter. In addition to the structured progress through the lesson material, Mr. Bennett spends time, usually at the beginning or end of a lesson, to work with Zach on one of his favorite Bethoven tunes. We highly recommend Mr. Bennett as a professional, experienced piano teacher who obviously loves his profession.

I have received vocal instruction with Dr. Galer since September 2013 and can recommend her services to anyone! I had in my mind several challenges why I couldn’t learn music at this time as I walked into my first lesson. First I am an adult learner with full time work and family. Second I come in with no knowledge of classical music crossing over from pop/gospel genre. Third I have been self taught prior to coming to her with no real foundation and understanding of music theory. What impressed me was that Dr. Galer was undaunted by my perceived “challenges” and reframed them into advantages. She put no unnecessary limits on me and did not just teach me notes on a page but she is teaching me how to have a relationship and honour my voice. She is vocalist, teacher and psychologist rolled into one! Her style involves not just singing songs but cultivating an appreciation for the art of music. I am a very left brained individual and once I let go my preconceptions of what vocal studies and vocal instructors were our lessons blossomed. She teaches me cornerstones of discipline, sound vocal technique, and that sometimes the shortest distance between two points in not a straight line. There have been challenges yes as there are things I have to unlearn and things I need to “catch up” with but 8 months in I am sticking with it with her and I have witnessed my musical competence and confidence increase. I have seen positive changes in my vocal power/strength, my relative pitch, my classical repertoire, my sense of timing and my vocal range. I am learning to sing both intelligently and from the heart. I cannot wait to see what the future holds! Thank you Dr. Galer for your patience and your commitment to this field

I was taking lessons at Autry music and there wasn't much of a difference in my sound. The coaches there really didn't care if you were practicing or not there where just there for a pay check. After seeing xfactor I had to find out who coached Melanie Amaro and that what the best thing that ever happened the day I met Stephen!! Patient encouraging strong and wise. I really recommend him! After the first 3months my boyfriend was already telling me that my tone has improved and I wasn't as tone death lol. I've built my confidence and started putting videos of me singing up and I've had people from high school ask me where am I taking my lessons and I proudly say Prestige Music center. Now there is a theater where all the shows are held which really helps develop my talent on stage and I must say Its a wonderfu experience been there a year and two months and I can't see me going any where else this is the most progress I have ever had!!!

I wanted to start piano lessons for my 3 year old son and everyone thought he was too young. Not Michael! He gladly accepted the challenge and we are beyond pleased with the results. After only a few months, my son can now read music/notes and is working on a few songs. Michael is very patient, super punctual, and truly seems to love the art of music. I feel very fortunate to have found such an amazing teacher for my preschooler!

With his invitation, my wife and I went to see Mike perform at the Il Centro restaurant in Northwood, West Palm Beach. Even though it was a Sunday restaurant the place was full. Mike's piano playing is superb and he did wonderful renditions of songs from the Broadway stage and the American Song Book. He has an open microphone policy at this gig so a couple of other singers came up and added to the fun. I spoke to Mike that evening and as a result of that experience, I took my first singing lesson the other day; something that I've wanted to do for a long time. I found Mike to be very patient and knowledgeable and I was amazed that in just one short hour as a result of him teaching me how to breathe properly, the quality and strength of my basic singing ability increased dramatically! I told him he was a magician! I would certainly recommend Mike to any adult who is just starting out or who wishes to improve their singing abilities.

I,'ve been trying to teach myself to play guitar for 8 years now, just bits and pieces of a lot of songs, but after taking lessons from Andy for the last 2 month's I can almost play 40 songs all the way thru, and getting ready to put a Band together, I couldn't have done it without Andy. He is an awesome teacher, very easy to work with, I would recommend taking lessons from Andy, if you want to take your guitar playing to the next level.

About

I begin teaching music (theory, vocal lessons, music dictation, guitar lessons and piano lessons) from 1975 to 2005 in my Vietnam country, and I continued teaching music in the U.S.A from 2005 until now. I have also been a volunteer music teacher and conductor in a choir at Ascension Catholic Church (Boca Raton) from 2008 until now. I want to teach the real music, loving young people and guiding them how to be a successful musician, using their beautiful music to fill the sadness abyss of the poor people.

About

I provide lessons in music theory, composition, technique, songwriting and lyricism. I teach guitar, piano, bass and drums. I am willing to teach children and adults as long as they are willing to learn. I am young and have a good understanding of modern music, although I appreciate and am knowledgeable about all types of music. Along with teaching how to play an instrument, I will help evoke creativity and encourage songwriting. I am very flexible with both the content of the lesson and the price of it. My background: As a passionate musician since my early childhood, I have invested much of my time in learning about music. I have been playing live concerts in different bands since age 14 and have a rich background in music performance. The piano is the first instrument I ever learned at age 6, but I also have advanced skill in playing guitar, bass and drums. I have been composing my own work since I was able to play music and have written and arranged many compositions. I have been an owner and operator of my own studio for almost 3 years now, which I use for the music production of other's compositions and of my own. During this time, I have recorded many different artists and bands, using different instruments to construct unique and familiar sounds. I currently attend Florida Atlantic University and am pursuing a bachelor's degree in commercial music and music composition. My university educates me about advanced music theory, compositional techniques and different styles of music. This knowledge is actively applied to my compositions and has aided my skill as a musician overall; however, I believe the most important knowledge that I have gained as a musician is that which I have learned from my own personal experiences in the field.
