Outstanding tutor! I wish I had found Dr. Lunsford earlier on in my Calculus I class, but nonetheless the couple of sessions we had together in preparation for my final exam made the difference! I received an A on the final thanks in large part for his expertise in breaking down a few difficult concepts I had been hung up on. Dr. Lunsford is extremely knowledgeable, professional and takes the time to ensure I understand the underlying principles behind the calculations. He has a very intuitive sense of explaining things from different angles so that the student is able to tackle a wide variety of problems. If you are looking for a math tutor, please stop your search right here and give Dr. Lunsford a call. He will exceed your expectations! I will be utilizing him again when I begin my calculus II class and look forward to the sessions!
Perry is a great tutor! He has really made math a lot easier to understand and is definitely worth the money.
My son, Bobby, absolutely hated math, and didn't even want to go to school! I didn't know what to do! Then, a friend recommended Jennifer at Seeds of Knowledge Tutoring. Bobby and I both loved her! We went to her house for 2 hour sessions. (Jennifer even has a little couch where parents can wait and read, or whatever, while she tutors the children!) Within a couple of sessions, Bobby was LAUGHING!! Now he LOVES math! His teacher says that he is doing MUCH better! We were THRILLED with the help that our son received!

*** A Life Saver *** Long story short; my Previous Tutor cancelled on us at the last min and I needed a Tutor for the ACT College Exam for my son and Fast. I sent out a desperate plea for help on Thumbtack and I was not interested in " Online Tutors", as they were the only ones available since the ACT & SAT test were a few weeks away. Marlene responded to my Request within a hour and said she would be more than happy to help my son. She was able to squeeze him into her schedule and help. I was so relieved and thankful. After talking to her on the phone we manage to arrange a schedule that would work for both of us. Marlene specializes in ACT/SAT college entrance exams and met us at our local library . After a brief in person interview, she started promptly working with my son. Marlene knew exactly how to work with him; he is a 12th grader and will be applying to college this school year. After their session, we discussed what he learned. It was the first time I have ever seen him so excited about Math before. He told me how Marlene showed him shortcuts, and other tricks to find the answers to the questions on the test. I was impressed by his enthusiasm and would highly recommend Marlene as a tutor. She is very pleasant, well prepared, smart, and knows how to motivate a child. Thanks again Marlene !! Ken B
Cheryl tutored me in College Algebra and I went through many tutors before her and never really understood it but she helped me really get to the core of why I was struggling. She is very dependable and extremely flexible. She is willing to work around your schedule to make sure you understand the subject you need help in. Overall she is an awesome tutor and I highly recommend her for any of your needs.
My son had fell behind in third grade and we were seeking a tutor that would help catch him up and prepare him for the fourth grade. Hiring Kati from Bullseye Learning was a God sent. Not only has my son excelled in fourth grade courses, he has also gained confidence and skills sets, I feel he would not have gained in a normative classroom. So we decided to hire her full-time. I am both relieved that my son is learning by leaps and bounds and grateful for the commitment that Kate at Bullseye Learning has displayed in her efforts in educating of my son. Thanks-Bullseye
Knows what he is teaching, willing to work with your schedule, overall a good experience.
This guy is brilliant. So much more then a teacher. He truly cares.
Well, I am a very down to earth, and I always put others first for work or school.
I have no business. I only teach math to high school students of 10, 11, and 12 grade, and I also teach college students of undergraduates when they want to learn. As I have no office room, I will teach math at the learning support center or library corner of the college or in the corner of the public library, such as Clearwater public library or living room of my house.
I have a professional engineering background and can provide math tutoring from basic to college level.
I am a graduate student who has four years of teaching experience. I soon and will be able to tutor students in the Tampa area starting July 8th. I am certified to teach middle and high school math, and I have also tutored several students in SAT and ACT prep. I have a passion for science and literature and love to get book suggestions from family and friends. For my undergraduate degree, I attended New College of Florida and studied anthropology/archaeology. I loved working with adolescents, so after graduating I worked as a middle school math teacher. I know how hard it is to make sure every student gets the individual attention they deserve, so as a tutor it is my goal to give my students the focused help they need to be successful. I have a strong math background. In addition to being certified to teach math grades 6-12, I scored a 760 out of 800 on the math section of the SAT and a 163 out of 170 on the GRE quantitative reasoning section. The most important part of teaching math, however, is being able to explain the basic connections between new material and what the student already knows. That is a skill I developed as a math teacher and use now as a tutor.
I have 30+ years of teaching and tutoring experience. I am New York licensed and permanently certified. Subjects I teach are: chemistry, biology, earth science, general science (6-12), anatomy and physiology, as well as math proficiency, college algebra and geometry. I also offer one-on-one prep for PSAT, SAT, ACT, GRE and GMAT, with guaranteed results. I cater instruction to student's specific needs and learning aptitude. Local references will attest to great results.
I tutor students in math. I have a lot if success those students who have always struggled with math or don't like it! I truly love math and I am very approachable, warm, and friendly!
I am finding new customers for the growth of the business. I specialize in Spanish and Math. If my business grows with my customers, I feel happy to help the others.
