When I came to Dave Lockwood for guitar lessons, I was struggling in kind of a self-taught rut. I could play chords for a lot of songs, but I didn't know the theory or anything you would call "advanced". Dave's methods show you how to understand the fretboard and why certain notes and chords go together. He is really helping me become a complete player. Mostly though, Dave is a very patient teacher. He doesn't mind going over the same material with you until you understand it and he'll take different approaches until you get it. I really appreciate this about his teaching methods.
It was my 9 year old son's first guitar lesson and he responded really well to Paige. He even commented on how "supportive" and "nice" she was. Professional and Punctual. A great find in the neighborhood.
I have really enjoyed taking lessons at Cordell Music so far. He has a good syllabus and the lessons build on one another in an understandable way.
Excellent first lesson. As an adult learning guitar, Eric's was a more holistic approach that got right into a meaningful lesson activity directly applied to the genre of music of interest to me.
I am loving it!!! Mrs. Pam is great and I am learning to play the guitar but more importantly I am learning to read music!!! Best decision I could have made...it's never too late!!!
I've been taking guitar lessons from Jim Coley for a couple of years now. I was self taught on "cowboy chords" and decided in my mid 40's I wanted to learn different styles, be able to read tabs and learn more about the structure of sheet music. Jim's teaching style has made this challenge a fun and enjoyable learning experience. The selection of music and lessons he works with me on has tremendous range and style from Classic Rock, Latin, Funk, Jazz, Blues and more. I would highly recommend some sessions with Jim. It has been and continues to be a great experience.
My daughter really enjoys taking piano lessons with Mateo. She is really interested in learning the piano and I believe most of that has to do with Mateo's encouragement and engagement level during the lessons. Mateo seems to really care about his students and according to my daughter, he is "really funny".
Trey has been patient and persistent, but never pushy, in his follow-ups to have my first guitar lesson. It is something I have truly appreciated. I'm really thankful to start playing guitar after a 25-year hiatus. I'm grateful to have such a talented musician and guitarist in my corner to help me become better.
I have taken guitar lessons before, but I wasn't learning or moving forward at the pace I wanted. He played guitar the whole time and seemed detached, annoyed and uninterested in helping me. He really didn't seem passionate about his lessons/teaching methods and what I learned over time. So I finally decided to try again and I took guitar lessons from Cam about a year ago and it's been the most rewarding experience.
Siddharth was a good instructor. He did a good job of teaching me the basics of the acoustic guitar as a beginner. He does not charge a lot either. Will recommend him to anyone interested in learning how to play the guitar.
WE have hired Mr Wallace for our twins piano lessons. He is a wonderful teacher, very calm, poised, patient and very knowledgeable. The twins have playing now long pieces since he started with them few months ago. WE WOULD TOTALLY RECOMMEND MR WALLACE FOR ANY PIANO LESSONS. I n addition, Mr. Wallace has gracefully agreed to come to our home to offer the lessons. He is also always on time and in great spirit. Thank you Mr Wallace: Charles and Charlotte Sow and their parents :) :) :) THUMBS UP
My son has been taking guitar lessons from Ms. Arrington for almost 2 years, and he loves them. She is patient, supportive, very friendly, and obviously loves what she does. In his case, she endorses his uniqueness while teaching him the basics he needs to maximize his personal style.
My name is Bud. I learned guitar all by feel, and I can teach you how to put your tone/sound/voice and soul all into one guitar lick. I can teach you.
I share 55 years of experience in six-string guitars and 40 years under a steel. I prefer students who are beginners or a little higher. You will need the best comfortable guitar you can afford. I would like to know the make and model of your guitar. If you prefer an electric, bring ONLY the guitar. I have plenty of amps. I am not an exponent of one style of music; instead I teach you the basics so you can easily play any style you like. I expect you to practice 15 - 30 minutes a day, 7 days a week. Why? Well, you won't learn guitar from me: you'll learn it from YOU. Those times when you start applying what I teach you is where you start making that guitar your own. You also need regular practice to toughen the 4 fingertips of your left hand. Rate: $50 per hour or part thereof, delivered at my home 121 Hampshire Ct, Avondale Estates, 30002, Saturdays at 2pm, and only there. Let me know if these terms suit you. We'll have fun! I am not just trying to get a paycheck. I have a genuine interest in every student I have ever taught. I want them to progress and to grow an appreciation for the instrument. I look at each student's progress as a reflection of my ability as a teacher.
With more than 100,000 lessons taught the award winning Key Music Center offers experience, fun, and results. We are the only teaching studio in Atlanta to offer a free music assessment for children under 15 years old. This allows us to put the student on the best path based on their test results and saves parents money and increases the the students chances of success. "There is a difference between a great musician and a great teacher," explains the studio's music director Bill Realbuto, "and we only hire instructors that are both."
I provide beginner guitar lessons that are fun and tailored to each individual student's abilities and skill level. There is no sight reading necessary!
I offer only the basics. If a teacher gives more than that, the students inherit the musical style of the teacher and never develop their own style.
