This describes my experiences with Jarred English in his capacity of Intern and Personal Coach at Indianapolis Fitness and Sports Training (IFAST) in the summer of 2013. Perhaps, some background information is warranted. In January of 2013, after a com-plete physical and stress testing following shortness of breath and chest pains, my physician strongly suggested lifestyle changes to improve my overall health and fitness. Not knowing fully what I might expect as an out-of-shape 67-year-old business owner, I joined IFAST, and submitted to an evaluation by Bill Hartman, co-owner. A program was devel-oped which I followed through the initial trial period and after. My wife, Ruth, also joined, was evaluated and commenced her own program at IFAST. I met and worked with Jarred, the other interns and the supervising coaches. During my twice weekly visits, Jarred would help me learn and execute the various parts of my program. He provided technical guidance; and, just as importantly, he provided a watchful eye and ever-welcomed encouragement. Over the next few months, we came to respect his expertise, value his friendship and know him as an engaging, enthusiastic young man who is genuinely interested in his clients welfare and progress. His appearance, manner of communication and personal demeanor were always top notch. It is not difficult to read into the above the very high personal and professional regard I have for Jarred; and I would not hesitate to vouch for him to a prospective client.

Making the decision to get a personal trainer can be difficult, but what's even more difficult is finding the right trainer that will push and motivate you to reach your goals. I had a trainer in the past, that I liked and was starting to see results with, but my trainer was leaving for an extended period of time, so I was given to Torrie as a new client. I was extremely nervous about switching trainers and unsure what to expect. After several weeks training with Torrie, I now know those nerves were unnecessary. Torrie was personable and genuine from the start. I truly feel that she is as invested in my fitness goals as I am. She pushes me past the limits I had unknowingly set for myself and really motivates me to keep trying, while sometimes having to give extra encouragement on those tough days. Needless to say, I highly recommend Torrie as a personal trainer. She is invested in her clients and is truly inspiring having worked hard on her own fitness.
