Doc has turned out to be the best trainer i have had.. I used thumbtack in the past and had some bad experience with personal trainers.. from trying to train me from there apartment gyms to charging me crazy amount of money only to talk on the phone while I train myself.. At the beginning of 2016, I weighed 350lbs; the heaviest I've been in my 33yrs of living. I made up in my that I wanted to loose weight, but I wasn't motivated. From Jan 2016 to the time I started working with Harris Fitness (which was April), I only lost 9lbs. I moved my weight to 341lbs. Once I consistantly started working with Harris (i.e. - exercising, dieting, and changing my lifestyle behaviors under Harris guidance & expertise), over the course of 60 days I dropped from 341 to 316lbs. Harris is EXCELLENT & PROFESSIONAL!!! He defintely knows his stuff. After training with Courtney for almost 3 months, I can attest to Courtney's professional knowledge, enthusiasm, and result-driven attitude. My goal is to tone, and get fitter. To that end, Courtney created a custom whole body workout for me. He guides me in working all parts of my body, arms, chest, legs, and even cardio. He pays attention to my forms closely, making sure I get the most out of my workout, and also not to get hurt. I'll definitely be training with Courtney for the foreseeable future! This is my first time working with a personal trainer. I have been working out for a long time at different gyms and I was always surprised to see how little attention the "personal trainers" paid to their customers. After my first class with David, I was completely convinced that this guy knows what he is doing and cares for his customers. He is flexible with scheduling, which is really important to accommodate my busy schedule. Second, he is looking at your form constantly. He does not care about how much you are doing but how you are doing it instead. He explains to you why is important to correct posture, control your balance, your movements, etc. He is patient and gives you reinforcement when you are doing things right. He praises your progress, no matter how little it is. He gives you tips on nutrition and additional exercises you can do at home on your own. I never look at the clock or watch while I am working out because I truly enjoy my routines with him. I wish I could do it more times a week! Thank you David! You are a "real" personal trainer!

I am so lucky to have found Reggie at Streamline Fitness and just wished I had found him years earlier. In a panic over my upcoming December 4th wedding, I knew I needed help! There was something personable about his message to me introducing himself. I scheduled an assessment appointment with him. Reggie evaluated my strength, endurance and balance (which was pretty bad) as well as my goals (lose weight for my wedding). He also sent me an easy to follow meal plan that would help get me to my goal weight. On my first day with Reggie, I had no clue what I was getting into or where to even begin. Reggie was very caring and understanding of my limitations but continued to believe in me and that I could do it and promised that it would get better if I kept coming back. I must say, he was right! Almost 4 weeks in, I am amazed how good I feel and that I am even excited to go see him, even the 6 am sessions. He switches it up and everyday is something different which keep it fun and exciting. Everybody there is super nice and make you feel comfortable because they are also doing the same thing. Who wishes Chris Powell from Extreme Weight Loss would show up on their doorstep but without the television cameras? Well, I met Jeff Chaffee from Train at Home Atlanta at the Alive Expo and he comes pretty close. Jeff doesn’t move in for any length of time. But he does provide support when I need it the most. We came to an agreement to exchange training sessions for promotion, and what a great experience that has been. The first time I met Jeff at my home, we discussed my goals (lose all of the extra weight), my eating habits, and my concerns dealing with the weight. After Jeff, got a clear understanding of what my goals were, we (meaning I) was off and exercising. Jeff is a little different in that he doesn’t wear “gym “clothes”. So he is not going down and dirty with you but, instead helps you work through it and then you get to learn the correct postures and forms quicker. Jeff is a former Marine, with 8 years of personal training experience. In addition he belongs to American Council for Exercise, and is certified by the National Council for Certified Personal Trainers, Jeff is also certified from the Hypnosis Motivation Institute and has 3 years of Hypnotherapy Experience. Jeff is unique in the aspect that he comes to your home, office, or wherever you schedule him to be for a week. Then the following week, he Skype's with you (which is half price). You just need a webcam. Jeff helps you design a schedule that works best for you. Jeff explains this too helps begin to take on the exercise, nutrition, and new ways thinking as a lifestyle. Then it becomes more about you and your life and less about him. Since school ended this past week (yeah), he is experiencing my children. My 9 year old daughter wants you to know he is nice, cute, and funny. He also takes time to address them and other people in my life, because he understands they are important and a big factor in my overall movement. On a given day, Jeff will have me do step ups, squats, pushups, and weights. He also monitors and prescribes activity in between sessions. Before each session, he will ask how your food intake, and exercise was from the last meeting. He also texted me after me after my 5k. He wanted to check in on how I felt. Also after each session, a day or two later, he texts to see how you are feeling physically and emotionally. The good news is that Jeff feels that I have my eating under control. I am feeling very motivated and am looking forward to getting these last 40-50 pounds off me! Jeff was my personal trainer and he was awesome! I was feeling sorry for myself when I went to their website and inquired about their services. He called me immediately and we talked about how I got to that point and my goals. He worked with my schedule which was 5am for most of our workouts. He pushed me to do more than I thought I could. When picking a trainer, you want someone who will give you that tough love, right? Like you are paying someone to help you get progress, and that only happens if you change something about your life. But also, it can be super intimidating to work out with a trainer. Maybe he has a perfect body, and you don't see yourself being able to achieve what he has. Or maybe you worry that he will judge you because your schedule, diet, and form aren't perfect. So about Alex... First of all, he is probably the nicest person I have ever met. Like really nice. My mom is a really nice person, and I think Alex is even nicer than her. Working with Alex was the FIRST TIME I felt like I was actually getting a crap ton of value from sessions with a personal trainer. So he is super nice, but also he wants me to see progress in working with him. He provides that tough love I am paying him for. From our initial meeting to our last session, I never once felt judged. I always felt like Alex had a genuine passion to help me transform. When I told him I followed a strict paleo diet, he kindly suggested I try eating a plant-based diet, but he didn't judge me. And ya know what? I now eat a crap ton of plants, and I have never felt better. When I told him that sometimes I binged on the weekends, and I thought that might be ruining my progress, he kindly suggested I stop and stay focused on my goal. Sometimes we think we need someone to coddle us, but sometimes we just need someone to be matter of fact and help us put the kabash on the drama we add to our life. In case this isn't clear in my review, I am a female, and yes, I responded well when he told me to stop with the binge eating on weekends. I don't binge on junk food anymore. I wanted to achieve the goal I was working on with Alex! And I realized that I could keep paying him and sabotaging myself, or I could keep paying him and listen and DO the things he was telling me. When I told him that another trainer told me my legs were the size they were and they would never change, Alex and I talked about different body types but also that through hard work, we actually can change our bodies. My stubborn legs stayed the same size for a long time, but I am down from a size 12 pants into my dream size 6 pants. Alex is extremely knowledgeable about exercise, form, and doing good for us things for our bodies. He is organized and takes time creating his programs. I've worked out with trainers before who just make things up on the fly! Not Alex. Everything is planned out and follows a systematic approach, but he also adjusts based on what I am capable of doing. He modifies things so that I can do the move and then continue to progress to better form and harder moves. He takes the time to follow-up with clients. He made me feel strong and empowered. I've never felt that way from a trainer before. I've always just gone to a trainer just to lose weight, but I actually felt empowered to change my life from my sessions with Alex. When I was first working out with Alex, I was leaving my teaching job and basically unemployed. I didn't have a ton of extra money to spend, but I still feel like the money I have spent to work out with Alex was the best money I ever spent to change my life. I am in the best shape I have ever been. I have a system of eating that makes me FEEL amazing and doesn't feel like a diet. I seriously love plants so much, and he helped me stop being afraid of carbs! Like what? I can eat carbs and not be a bad person? Sign me up. I am in the smallest pant size I have ever been which feels flipping phenomenal. And I feel strong and empowered. And he helped me do all this with kind but tough love.

I've been working with Alex for about 4 months, and I can honestly say its been an absolute fantastic experience. He's both extremely punctual and flexible, this guy pushes you to the limit every session! I had gone to other gyms in the past, but never worked with a personal trainer before. Alex made the transition super smooth, starting out by getting to know my goals(both short and long term) and delivered a comprehensive strategy to meet those goals. Being a little nervous at first, I started out with Alex once a week, but because of his work ethic and depth of knowledge of all the different muscle groups in the body, I changed it to twice a week instead. My girlfriend is shocked at the results i've had in such a short amount of time. Definitely go with Alex, you won't be disappointed.

I am tickled to death to have V. as my personal trainer. Although sometimes I complain that he is "trying to kill me," I couldn't be more satisfied at the progress we are making. I am 64 years of age and have osteo-arthritic knees. Although not morbidly obese, I can stand to lose 10 - 15 lbs. Also, I'd had spent years working on getting out of shape and could not, for the life of me, get myself into the gym to do something about it. That is, until I discovered V back in April. When we started three months ago, I couldn't even stand up from a sitting position because of my knee affliction, and I couldn't take a single step on a riser without excruciating knee pain. V has been very careful to tailor my workouts to my specific need and we have done knee concentrations, and have also worked on other body parts. I told him I want Michelle Obama arms at the end of all this and so we've been working on arms as well. Currently, I can do 20 repetitions of standing from a seated position and I can to 20 step-ups, even while holding weights. Although this doesn't seem like much for someone with healthy knees; for me, it's a miracle, and I owe it all to V! I appreciate his punctuality, and the fact that he respects my time enough not to allow my appointed time to be impacted by another client, who might show up late. This did occur one time, but I believe V learned from that experience and it has never occurred again, Long story short, I highly recommend him. V ROCKS!!

Larry Keaton has been my personal trainer for more than 10 years! He has kept me in shape all these years and tailors my workouts to meet my fitness goals and my abilities. Underground Fitness has a family feel to it and is welcoming to all no matter what your fitness levels is. Nutritional guidance is also available if you want or need it. Underground Fitness is a great gym, and Larry is simply the best!

Matt is the best trainer I have ever had. I have used several trainers over the years and watched other trainers, including some my wife used and Matt is the best I have used and seen. He really stays abreast of the latest trends in fitness and diet and is very good helping his clients achieve their fitness and health goals. He has a diverse set of clients and I have been impressed how he adjusts the workouts to fit the particular person. He also practices what he preaches, unlike some trainers. He participates in some classes including some Seal training, does a lot of research and then adapts it to fit his particular trainee. He always has a training session that has a lot of variety and works a lot of different muscle groups and also gets in the aerobic training. He does an outstanding job!

This is my third week working with Midtown Trainers and I could not be happier. I appreciate how all the trainers use their individual strengths, working together as a team to help you reach your goals. Lauren, my main trainer, is phenomenal. She is right there watching my form and will help me make immediate adjustments as needed. She pushes me when she is confident that I can do more, and I trust her so if she thinks I can do it then I believe I can as well. The programs are individualized and progressive so you never feel stagnate or bored. I highly recommend this team of trainers. Trey has chosen a great group of professionals who are passionate about fitness and will work hard in your behalf to get you where you want to be.

I trained with Matt for over two years and it was a wonderful experience! I went from being able to only use a few machines at the gym to lifting more than I could have ever imagined. Matt was always patient and would make sure you were doing each individual exercise correctly. If I hadn't moved out of state I don't think I would have ever switched trainers!
