Gordy has been my keyboard (piano and organ) instructor since 2002. I started learning the piano as an adult. I've had piano and violin lessons in the past, so I'm experienced with teachers. Gordy is the best private lesson instructor I've had, which explains my long experience with him! He's the perfect blend of a teacher that inspires, yet isn't pushy toward perfection. He also instructs my wife and two children (ages 6 and 9). We're currently doing this in our home, which has worked well, and all 4 of us can take lessons in an evening. Gordy is also a great piano tuner/repair person, and has kept our 90+ year old baby grand which has been in the family in good repair. I can definitely recommend Gordy as an instructor for students of any age or ability.
For the last five years I have perfected my teaching methods to cater to a variety of students of any age. I have experience teaching all styles, from beginner to advanced, and i am in the final year of pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Classical Guitar Performance. My lessons are unique to each student and their needs. I have experience teaching music theory, notation, and classical requirements necessary for students to pursue guitar in a collegiate setting. My teaching style is focused on keeping music fun, artistic, and easy; Practicing the guitar is never considered homework or a chore for my students. I have been playing the guitar casually and professionally for more than 10 years, and teaching for more than five years.
It was a relaxed environment and very professional.

I am a private music teacher with over 30 years of experience in teaching piano and woodwinds for all levels and beginning brass and percussion students. I am now retired but have taught an elementary school band and general music for 34 years. For more background, please contact me.
I have a facility, or I guess more of a room I teach out of. I know it's hard to believe people nowadays, but I have taught around 12 people, some are just not apt to it. If this is the case, I offer six months worth of refunds. I have had eight people who successfully learn, which I am still a little surprised because it's not easy. The only thing I tell my clients is that their time with me is for a lesson not a practice. If I feel that they are not practicing at home, I will tell the parent/guardian immediately and reduce the charge so both parties can agree on what it should be.
I teach a no-nonsense approach to guitar designed to get you playing your favorite songs as quickly as possible.
I teach guitar, and I have been playing since I was 13. I am now almost 21 years old, so if you are interested and live around my area, I will teach you how to play.
We all learn at different paces and in different ways. My one on one lesson plan is unique to your specific learning habits and musical goals so lets get together and make you succeed! “The beautiful thing about learning is nobody can take it away from you.” – B. B. King
I find that many guitar instructors teach because they think they are supposed to. I, on the other hand, really enjoy the art of teaching. The look that a student has when they reach a moment of clarity in understanding the instrument is what I live for professionally. I want my students to understand the instrument as well as I do as opposed to just making a few extra dollars.
We teach youth and adults how to play chords, scales, and complete songs quickly and efficiently! We also have our own band program for more experienced players.
I'm offering guitar lessons from essentials all the way up to advanced techniques. I am accepting all levels!
