David Eickstaedt has a great depth of knowledge and experience on singing. He is a fun teacher who is willing to work with you to find convienient times for you to take lessons and he is willing to work with you on what you want to get out singing. He can teach you to improve your range, to use your breathing more efficiently, to incorporate vabrado, etc. He is always on time and ready to work with you. A very good teacher.
I've been taking lessons with Jon for over a month now, and have seen my skill grow considerably. He is a wildly talented musician, and equally talented teacher. He has a deep passion for music, and seeing his students grow. Jon marries theory with practice - so if you're a nerd (like me) you'll enjoy the depths of his musical knowledge. I treasure my lessons, and look forward to many more.
I was a beginner with no knowledge of how to play. But in the several lessons I've had, I've learned a lot!
My two girls enjoyed every single thing they did at Stacey De: Piano, voice, acting and guitar. They made friends, learned confidence, became a part of a family and mostly, have taken all these lessons with them to college. We will always consider Stacey De as part of our family!
Rodrigo is fabulous! My girls have learned so much from him. He is very well organized and has various curriculum for the kids.
I've been working with Michele for the past two years. She is very knowledgable and resourceful when it comes to vocal health and technique. She does a great job at tailoring lessons to her student's specific needs and providing tools to use to improve upon your craft.
I am very happy with Janet's style of teaching, and am continuing to take lessons from her.
Paul is patient and truly took interest in me getting better at the guitar. He would check up on practicing after the lesson and was always available for any questions. Pauls a great teacher. I highly recommend him for lessons.
Peter is an outstanding instructor. Very personable, knowledgeable, takes his time to instruct, demonstrate and then, while I am peforming the move, if needing correction , does so in a calm and easy way. He fit the bill for everything I am looking for in learning self defense in a non class type setting. You wont be disappointed in giving Peter a try. He has all the equipment, mats, and practice items to use as well..He's also very flexible given my schedule of the times I am in his area on other business, to schedule a lesson around.
I'm very happy with my lessons!
Al taught my husband piano for several years and voice lessons for myself. We both felt very blessed to have him as our instructor. He is very calm, patient, kind, encouraging, and teaches per the needs and style of the individual. We were thankful to have an instructor that would teach us with the type of music that we are passionate about: Christian and praise & worship. Al is extremely talented in teaching, performing, and creating music and song. He loves his work as he enjoys sharing his knowledge and talents with others.
My 8 year old daughter has been taking voice and piano lessons with Nicolette for a few months now. My daughter progresses steadily and gains confidence from the constant encouragement. Nicolette is assertive as well as upbeat, providing a positive and nurturing environment. Her distinct technique keeps my daughter focused while enjoying every class. I highly recommend her!
Mrs. Cynthia is an excellent music teacher. My 7 year old has taken classes now for the past few years with significant progress. She is wonderful with children and has a disciplined approach that achieves tangible results. There is a good balance between having fun yet being able to have your child focus on the task at hand. I would highly recommend Mrs. Cynthia as a music teacher for any parent that's looking for an activity that is both fun but also enriching to your child as an individual. There are lessons learned in music class that also translate into better focus in school and resulting in higher performance of your child in the classroom. I hope my review was helpful to whomever is trying to make a decision on a music teacher. Regards, I. Bobb
This year, our daughter won first place in the Chicago Chapter National Association of Teachers of Singing (CCNATS)’ High School Division 1 Vocal Competition! At Elizabeth’s suggestion, she also auditioned for the Anima Chorus of Glen Ellyn, and sang a solo with them on WFMT’s Saturday Broadcast of Introductions. Elizabeth is truly an amazing teacher! She explains everything very well and never leaves a question unanswered. Our daughter, Brianna Dulock, has received nothing but compliments from other experienced professionals […] It is impressive how much information Elizabeth can fit into one lesson. Thank you, Elizabeth, for the high quality of your voice lessons, and for giving our daughter this amazing voice.” — Rose Figuero Dulock, Stone Park, IL
Suzanne has been teaching my seven year old for a little over two months now. My little girl is very excited about her lessons, she can already play a few songs, and read the notes, and she loves to practice. Suzanne is very nice and encouraging, but at the same time professional and makes the lessons fun for kids! Highly recommend!
I contacted Jerry, inquiring about in-home guitar lessons for my daughter. He replied immediately with helpful suggestions of an instructor. When I realized my daughter wanted a female instructor Jerry went out of his way to find out more about my daughter and the kind of instructor who would be compatible with her. He then suggested one of two female instructors he felt would meet her needs. I was impressed with the time and effort he put into helping me find an instructor for her. This was extraordinary that he would take the time to help me when it did not directly benefit him and he did not even know me! I had originally contacted Jerry because of his highly regarded reputation for teaching and instruction. But now I also hold him in high regard for his kindness and dedication to helping others find their way into the world of music.
Nick is a great teacher. He is very knowledgeable and talented. I'm taking lessons for the acoustic guitar. He's great at listening to what I want to achieve and understands how to help me, given my current level and available time I can commit.
I took lessons through Mclain's mind of music for one reason; to learn how to play "Green Hill Zone" on Piano. Thanks to Kevin, I can say that I accomplished that goal (granted, 2 years after he left but you get the idea.) Because Kevin was my teacher, I've moved on to learning a couple other songs as well (although I could always practice more than I do.) When Kevin was giving lessons in Chicagoland he was the most affordable piano lessons, regardless of if it was hourly or half-hour (short of having a piano whiz for a grandparent who would teach you for free, which I do not.) Improve, I guess a couple times he was 5 or 10 minutes late for the appointment, but that's only because he would DRIVE OUT to the kid's house and be stuck in traffic on the way back (which is totally understandable, considering what an excellent musician Kevin is.) If you take one lesson, you'll feel the same. Young or Old, Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced Kevin can teach you how to play.
First impression has been great! Still in beginning phase of lesson plans .
Anne has been teaching flute lessons to my son for 4 years - and she has been amazing! She remains patient as he learns new notes & scales, yet knows when to challenge him by incorporating those new skills to play more complex pieces. One of her characteristics that I most appreciate is her ability to quickly identify and correct poor techniques, before they become bad habits that are more difficult to let go. Anne has provided several performance opportunities as well, which have helped build my son's confidence and improve his stage presence. My son now plays in his school's Advanced Band as the youngest student at 9 yrs old. I credit Anne's hard work, encouragement, and teaching excellence for developing his proficiency to keep up with his older peers.
Me. M is patient, kind, and gentle with my son. He corrects him without ever using negatives. He is a wonderful teacher!
