My daughter was having a very difficult time with math. Her teacher is horrible. Arbor Tutors was able to do an excellent job at getting her caught up and ahead of the class.
Rodrigo is fabulous! My girls have learned so much from him. He is very well organized and has various curriculum for the kids.
Parent: When we needed a tutor for my son, Jeff was quick to respond and came over to help fast! He's always on time and the communication is perfect. As a parent I feel that Jeff understands perfectly what the need is and how to help. He gets to work right away and makes math easy to understand. My son really likes the way Jeff teaches him. He says he likes that Jeff doesn't do the problems for him but instead Jeff helps him out just enough so that he can figure out how to do problem by himself. Jeff is a dedicated tutor!
Bertina provided tutoring I both math and executive functioning for my middle school aged son who is autistic. With her help, he was able to institute a homework schedule he could stick to on his own, and we no longer had a battle every night. Bertina is kind, thoughtful and communicative, but is also able to hold ground with a disruptive kid.
Allison has been working with my 6th grade daughter tutoring her in math and i cant believe the difference in such a short time. Its so nice to see my child have a level of confidence when it comes to math that she has never had before
Tim did a fantastic job tutoring my son for the ACT. He totally understood where to concentrate their time. Highly recommend.
My 8th grader and sophomore are both being tutored for Math and Mike has been a great help. Even after just a couple sessions I can see that my children are more confident in the subject. He's taught them to understand more in depth what they are being taught in school.
Thank you so much Ramona! I would not have managed statistic classes without your help. Her private math classes helped me graduate from school and even from university. I can truly recommend working with Ramona. She is the best help I could have ever imagine and her classes are absolutely worth the money. I also recommended her classes to a few friends and they all gave positive feedback. Please let me know if you need more detailed information.
Renjie and I worked together over the course of two months in preparation for a GRE test. We had long sessions (3 hours) each time, but Renjie was focused and prepared and all the breaks we took were on my account. I took two Statistics courses in university, but aside from this hadn't taken any math classes since high school, so I focused all of my hours with Renjie in math. He has all of the hard skills that a good teacher/tutor needs: he has a deep knowledge of math and used repertoire of teaching strategies to help me learn. The teaching and learning strategies Renjie shared with me in math make it so I'm confident in saying I know he has the same skills for verbal reasoning in the GRE (specially) or vocabulary more generally. More than this, Renjie is kind, understanding, friendly, and easy to connect with. Both Renjie and I had traveled and worked abroad for a number of years and so it was fun to share stories in between problem solving. I got accepted into my graduate program of choice, got a full scholarship and a stipend to be a Graduate Teaching Assistance. It was a pleasure working with Renjie and I would recommend him to any who have an interest in improving their scores on a variety on tests, or to improve their performance in school at all levels.
I had used Tom for my calculus 1 class and he was fantastic. He is really good at explaining the math in terms that actually make sense. Very nice guy and easy to get along with. He has a lot of patience which was nice, because calc made no sense at all to me before I started going to him. Thanks Tom!!!
Our work with Connie is continuing. She is excellent at both Reading and Math Tutoring. She is very friendly, detail oriented and patient. My kid also loves to work with her.
She helped my daughter understand in 1 hour what her geometry teacher could not for half a year. It was amazing and awesome. My daughter is so excited that she understands her geometry now!
My son did not want to go to tutoring, but a friend's son had found Learning Ascent helpful, so I dragged him in because he earned 37% on his math test. He earned 85% on the next test after a few weeks of tutoring, then 100% on a test. Now he has the hunger for success. My other son goes to them now too.
We did in-person tutoring at the library for math. Our tutor was excellent.
Sireethon is a great tutor. She smoothly explained my daughter many math problems. She's extremely intelligent and she's always prepared. I really recommend her as a math tutor.
Mr. K's math camp was a wonderful addition to the Price Hill and surrounding communities as well as Price Hill Recreation Center, where the program was conducted. He produced amazing results with some of our most challenging kids. Mr. K combined Montessori, holistic theory and common sense to help focus kids so they could learn and bring up test results. As both parents and kids enthusiastically embraced this program, it was always well attended. The only downside was, the program had to end due to a loss of funding. We certainly miss the Math Camp as it excellently served our littlest citizens in a comprehensive and very caring way.
After deciding to return to school, and complete my degree, the last class I had to take was a Technical Math class. Being years later, this class was no longer offered - I had to take it as an independent student, meaning I had no instructor, or class to show up to, only a syllabus and a Math book. A Math assistance area was available to students, and there I met the tutor I write of here. Of the 6 to 8 tutors available, I signed up with Dave as much as possible. The class I was taking dealt with Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry as well as an introduction to Calculus. I could barely remember how to factor a problem, but working with Dave, he spent the time to help me get through the basics, and had the patience to answer many of my off the wall questions, and many that I thought were unrelated. The first test I took before I asked for any assistance, I had totally bombed. A 47... I knew I'd need help and after working with Dave for a week and a half, the retake test I took got me an 88. Dave helped me gain the confidence I needed to figure out problems on my own, and showed me how I could apply other concepts and equations from other chapters and solve new problems in a variety of ways. I am on my last exam now, and I still choose to wait in line to work with this excellent tutor, when there are another 5 available at any time. If you are in need of assistance with Math, and are looking for someone to help you either from the very basics to intermediate and advanced topics, I would highly recommend Dave as he is an outstanding tutor, with loads of patience and knowledge, as well as being incomparable to other tutors in his willingness to help and assist you as much as you need. Thanks Dave!
