Emil did an amazing job capturing our wedding! He took an awesome variety of shots, from traditional poses to completely unique, one-of-a-kind photos of people and the environment. He was very easy to work with and did a great job keeping our group organized. The final product was a CD with many many high quality photos. We would recommend Visual Etiquette to our friends and family members!
Where do I begin - well, let's just say that all my groomsmen and all of the bridesmaids that have yet to get married swore that they will be using Velvet Oaks for their weddings. The only problem will be booking them in time because of how great they are. Joe and the rest of his team are true professionals with amazing vision. Being the groom, I had enough to think about and didn't even think to worry about the videographers - luckily, I had the best ones around. From the start of our special day until the very end, we had a camera man following use to capture every moment we wanted captured. When we saw the trailer of our wedding video (I recommend you pay for it - well worth it), my wife and I were floored. We couldn't wait for the full video - when we saw the full video, we forgot how much took place and some stuff we didn't even get to see. Luckily it was beautifully captured. If you really need to, look around first and then chat with Velvet Oaks - but you'll be wasting your time talking to others as you will end up booking these guys. A+
Isaiah is a great blend of creative and organized business person. A very good communicator and highly responsive; I always felt we knew the status of what was going on. In my experience, you don't always get this level of professionalism when working with a small video company. I was also impressed by Isaiah's concepts and ideas. He watched our previous videos and asked questions about our company - and using this info he started sending ideas even before we formalized the contract. Isaiah and his partner Seth listened to our unique needs and incorporated them into their creative process. They were terrific collaborators during editing - I felt they went above and beyond on titles, graphics, and improving our videos' pace and timing. They also were willing to videotape a few additional shots during the editing process and that made all the difference in the final quality. Our company has been so pleased we've already engaged Maestro Media for several client projects.
Great videographer. Arrived earlier, prepped me well, was super congenial but unobtrusive through the event, and turned around quality work.
I had been working with Harry to prepare for filming our wedding this Friday. We set up a meeting three days before the wedding date at which he said we no longer need a contract and demanded the entire payment for the project up front. This was the first time I had heard of this and I was thrown off by how it came out of the blue. Nowhere in his e-mails, website, contract, or in any of our conversation did it come up that he requires payment up front. I told him I was willing to give half and he told me that "That's not how I do buisness." He said that people usually pay him when he shows up to do the job. I agreed and said I would pay him half and how and half the day of the job. He said "that's not how I do business." He said he was sure I could find someone else to work with and got up and walked out of the restaurant. I was stunned! He has not returned any of my calls, e-mails, or texts. He has the right to ask for whatever terms he wants, but he needs to make that clear up front or put it in the contract, not drop it into a conversation three day before the wedding and then walk out when I question him. It was especially weird in that it came right after telling me he doesn't need a contract. It felt very off to me. I was not comfortable paying him in full under the circumstances and I felt like I was being railroaded into a last-minute bait and switch. He was unwilling to talk about it, negotiate, or show any sign of professionalism or care. He walked out as soon as he didn't get his way. I am angry that I am three days out from my wedding and I have no videographer! I did not see this coming!
Ed was fantastic... I cannot recommend him enough - from the professionalism, to the creativity, time management, flexibility, and dedication to the project - he was flawless throughout the entire process. We had a lot of specifications and without hesitation he created solutions when presented with constraints. Ed delivered the final product a week ahead of schedule and exceeded expectations at every opportunity. Without a doubt, Ed will be my first call for all future projects. Ed is truly in a league of his own. A class act, incredible videographer, and brilliant team member - Ed is a master in his craft and Homesick Blues Productions is by far the best decision you can make for your film project.
If you have a chance to work with Kevin you must! He does absolutely beautiful work and is extremely responsive. We needed to complete 2 corporate video testimonials and he was extremely professional and even helped me with managing a distracted client. I would hire him again shall we need a videographer in area.
We made a last minute decision to hire a videographer for a big birthday bash that would have many dignitaries in attendance. Eugene was hired. He attended my father's 80th birthday party at a posh downtown restaurant in Chicago so that he could create a video of the event, including lengthy speeches during a presentation. Also asked Eugene to record well wishes on video from the guests and create a shorter video montage. This involved approaching party attendees and recording them on the spot throughout the night, which took some initiative, and Eugene did this beautifully. Also created a highlight video of the overall party that was a great share on social media. Eugene really met the task of getting the footage I needed from this event beautifully. You only get one shot for live events! The 3 videos that were the outcome of this black tie event were well edited and very thoughtfully produced for us by Eugene. It's not just about recording the event, there was some artistry involved in deciding what to use, adding music and how to edit it all together. Eugene was very pleasant to work with and my entire family was pleased with his work. Thanks for capturing our special night so well.
We used Jeff to film video footage and create videos for our corporate event. He did a fantastic job, and we were very pleased. I highly recommend him as a talented professional videographer who is easy to work with.
My wife and I had the pleasure of having Stuart as our videographer for our wedding. The video could not have turned out better. He captures every great moment and it really makes you feel like you are there living it all over again. The quality and functionality are both fantastic as well. We can't thank Stuart enough for giving us something that will help us relive our special day forever!
Erika did an awesome job! She specializes in music videos and was a great fit for our band. She has integrity and is knowledgeable with a great work ethic that goes above and beyond. She took pride in her work and used her expertise in choosing the best shots that complimented our group. We would use her services again and recommend her if you need an experienced videographer.
I hired Dan to film a professional mentalism and comedy show at the Northern Lights Theater in Potawatomi Casino in Milwaukee, WI. He and his assistant videographer showed up promptly, were very professional, and delivered STUNNING 1080p footage to me via Google Drive within a day. Easy to work with, prompt responses, and all around nice guys. Highly recommended! Kevin Viner KevinVinerMagic.com
Drake did an awesome job videotaping my daughter's wedding ceremony last weekend. He actually arrived almost an hour early to tape everyone arriving at the church, and stayed late to tape family and wedding party photos being taken. We now have priceless memories! We will highly recommend Drake to everyone we know who is looking for a professional, reliable and reasonably priced videographer. Thank you again, Drake!
This specific project was quite intense. It involves all day shooting and running around from a larger event to an exterior interview room. Sam, from White Fox Cinema, did a tremendous job. He was punctual to start the day and came extremely prepared. We've done a series of these videos and I could tell he watched our previous work in order to understand the type of shots we were looking for. Finding a freelance videographer to fill in on an already established production is not easy, like hiring a new employee, but we feel very lucky to have come across White Fox Cinema. We recommend White Fox for any job and we'll be doing business with him in the future.
Anthony did a great job with editing and special effects for my feature film. Now Anthony is my go-to videographer for all my industrial videos and commercial work. Anthony is a very postive creative force. I highly recommend Caponeyboy Productions!
I received a high quality and extremely clear video of a basketball game.
We had an amazing time working with Carisma, and so did everyone in our wedding! She listened to our vision and exceeded our expectations. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a videographer!
Hire the videographer. Ditch the throw-away favors, the edible glitter on your cake, or whatever else will not last past the day and HIRE THE VIDEOGRAPHER. At first, I was unsure about the need for videography. I had so many other things for which to budget! A few recently married friends suggested I find a way, so I reached out via Thumbtack for video quotes. Several vendors came back, but Jessica of Azalea was within budget, and had a true excitement about what she does in the industry. Her email communication was professional, and she was able to understand how/why someone may be weary of videography, even though that is her craft! I agreed to meet with her, and after that meeting, I couldn't imagine not having our day documented to relive as often as we wanted. As we approached the day, Jessica reached out to help iron out details, suggest start/end times, and even attended the rehearsal. She and her husband arrived early on our wedding day to capture details, and from that moment on they both were up and working the entire time, aside from a dinner break. I never saw them sit! They attempted to catch absolutely all of the day, through 12 hours of filming, all to make sure our videos were a beautiful summary of our wedding. I have suggested them to everyone I can, and describe them as "the hardest working vendor I hired." The effort showed - our incredible highlight video was ready about a month after the event, and our full length about 6 weeks later. Both are incredible. Jessica edited our song choice to fit perfectly - she even lined up the words to our first dance song to match us singing, and the ceremony string duo's performance to my entrance. The angles her and Alan shot from were great, she left in hilarious "outtake" type stuff because she got to know our personalities, and she shared a great shot from the video I wanted as a photograph. Jessica converted me from "meh, not needed" to "YES YOU NEED IT" regarding video.
Working with the team here was easy, professional and polished. I received exactly what was promised and was very happy with the videographer on site and his professionalism. Great vendor!

I'm a professional wedding videographer. The importance of having your wedding and reception captured is that "you can possibly remember all that was said during your wedding ceremony and all your special toasts that were given to you during your wedding reception.
