We hired Chef Rich and his team to cater my husband's 40th birthday party. His team serviced 60 of my guests. The full catering service included delivery/pickup of rental equipment, setup , clean up, servers, & a bartendar. They're service made the day/night enjoyable as they took care of everything including picking up the ice, mixers, etc. All i had to do was ask. The food they prepared was delicious, we had a combination of meat appetizers and vegetarian appetizers. The guests thoroughly enjoyed the food. The only thing i would have changed was to have the servers pass out the food more consistently to my guests rather than having it placed on a table in the corner as it quickly got cold and perhaps didn't taste as good as it would have hot/warm. Other than that my experience with Chef's Most Wanted Catering & Chef Services was outstanding. I would definitely use their services again for both big and small events. It is difficult to put into words how grateful I am that I found North Island Catering. From the beginning to the end Allen and Christina were wonderful to work with. Allen went above and beyond what a good catering company should do. We needed a caterer for my daughter's wedding. North Island catering was one of the several companies that responded to my request on Thumbtack. When I contacted them they were very helpful and was able to give me a price within our budget. Our menu would consist of fajitas and tacos with all the fixings and would be buffet style setting. From the taste test to the wedding they were very professional and catered to all the dietary needs of our guests. Once we finalized the guest list we decided to do tacos for 50, fajitas for 90 and vegetarian fajitas for 10 people. They were able to accommodate for the vegetarian guests and the gluten free guests. Even when I forgot to mention one of the condiments we wanted Allen was on his toes. I had missed letting him know that we wanted hot peppers on the side. He thought ahead and got them anyways. I contacted him the day before the wedding about the peppers. He informed me that he had already purchased them. I was so impressed that he anticipated our needs ahead of time. They arrived at the reception on time and were all set up in the time frame that they had stated. Allen and his crew were very professional in letting the guests know which foods were vegetarian and which foods were gluten free. I received several comments from guests on how good the food was and how nice it was to have so many options for the different dietary needs of each of the guests. It made the guests feel like they were each thought of individually and that their dietary needs were important to North Island Catering. When everyone was finished eating they packaged up the leftover food for us to take home all without any disturbance to the rest of the reception going on. I was very impressed with how smoothly everything ran and how they helped make my daughter's special day a success. During conversations with Allen and Christina I got the impression that their specialty was Italian food. They did an outstanding job preparing the Mexican food we requested. I feel that they would do an outstanding job in preparing any type of food requested. I would definitely work with this company again in the future.
We had an Corporate Hors D'oeuvres event for 70 people on July 16th at our venue. This was our first event with Chic Chef Catering but from the food tasting they provide ahead of time, we knew the food would be excellent. My favorites were the Bacon wrapped asparagus and Buffalo chicken eggrolls. Even though they are fairly new, they worked like a company that's been around for a long time. They were hired for drop off service at 4 pm and arrived early (3:30 pm). The owner and his Executive chef were there and helped us pan the food (great presentation) so it would be easy for our servers to refill. The owner Ravi stayed to make sure we were set and to answer any questions we might have. They definitely went above and beyond. Let me tell you, I was blown away from the presentation to the feed back about the food. Their food station was a hit and we have decided to use them as the preferred vendor for future events. Please don't steer away from them because they are new, they certainly didn't look like or deliver like one. It is nice to have a catering company who doesn't just care about getting there check but is professional, on time and has AWESOME FOOD. They made my job easier and even helped in the kitchen. We used Just A Bite for our son's wedding in Wheaton held at a local church with 125 guests. We coordinated everything long distance as we live in Minnesota. Loretta was super responsive and a delight to work with on all details and questions. Everyone raved about the appetizers and there was plenty for all. Her prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity provided. Great selections to choose from. I would highly recommend her catering services.

Chef Aram is a rockstar! He and his team went above and beyond to ensure that every detail of our dinner party ran smoothly. When our rental company wouldn't deliver, he was kind enough to pick up our dinnerware and deliver it to us the day before the event. His staff took care of ever last bit of setup before I even arrived at the venue and, it was perfection! Most importantly, the food was incredible! the plating was gorgeous and each course was delicious. He even added some passed hor d'oeuvres as a nice surprise. I honestly can't say enough great things, and I can't wait to work with him again!
We hired Kirk for a black tie 40th birthday celebration in June 2017 in Downtown Chicago (Gold Coast), after surveying a variety of reputable best in class catering companies. We primarily sought faire and service that matched the upscale event we hoped to host for 70 - 85 attendees. We selected Kirk initially based on his responsiveness, accuracy, flexibility and professionalism. He offered full catering services and vendor support, making him the sole point of contact for the event. Due to holding the event at an art gallery, everything from tables, linens, flatware, glasses, cooking appliances, staffing and bartending needed to be supplied. Kirk confidently arranged all needs within an extremely reasonable quote and remained flexible to altering demands throughout the prep period. He customized a menu and cooked a tasting for us, in our home, to meet our expectations. He walked the event space with us and partnered directly with the gallery owner to ensure day of processes ran smoothly. But the wow factor was during the prep and execution of the event! Kirk brought a team of staff to swiftly setup the location in beautiful fashion. Each station was well oriented with artistic design matching the space and event caliber. With little direction, he ensured these settings were eye catching and photogenic. His staffing was AMAZINGLY friendly and outgoing, going above and beyond to bring cheer and personality to ensure all guest needs were met. The presentation and food quality were commendable and guests enjoyed the pace and quantity of the passed and stationed edibles. Even the gallery owner was blown away with Kirk’s talents and partnership and vowed to recommend and utilize Kirk and his team for future events. 5 Star Service and highly recommended!
Chef Damien was a pleasure to work with! I would highly recommend his services. We hosted a group of 18 for a formal four course birthday dinner at our home, and Chef Damien delivered in every aspect. Actually, he didn't just deliver- he surpassed our expectations. I should mention that I work in the hospitality industry, and that half of our dinner guests also work in the industry. Needless to say people had high expectations. Everyone was thoroughly impressed with Damien's friendly nature, cool demeanor and his warm hospitality. Not to mention the food was amazing! He really went above and beyond for us. We all felt like he was an old friend by the end of the night. Chef was totally flexible with changes and ran with everything we threw at him. It felt like he was having as much fun planning and delivering the meal as I was. Sometimes chefs can be a little touchy, or protective of their vision- in the way an artist might be. While I definitely qualify Damien as an artist in the kitchen, he was never touchy or negative. He was always super humble, kind and willing to go the extra mile. His passion for food and people is evident in his service. I would hire him again in a heartbeat!

I had the absolute blind luck to find the lovely Heather and D'Andre of Feast & Imbibe while looking for alternatives to typical "chicken or beef" caterers for my June 2014 wedding. I had already decided that I wanted to do an upscale cocktail reception in lieu of a seated dinner, and had quotes for over $10,000 for 80 people (and this was from a place that wanted to serve quesadillas and fried food as apps--that's fine, but not for ten grand and not at all what I was looking for). I couldn't see spending money like that on food that was impersonal and trite, and I began to look for a private chef or other alternatives to a standard wedding caterer. I honestly and truly feel lucky to have found Feast & Imbibe, as they allowed me to have everything exactly the way I wanted for an extremely reasonable price. You could really taste the thought, love and care in D'Andre's food--for real. I had some ideas in mind in terms of the feel of the menu, but I have to say that Heather and D'Andre totally blew me away and knocked it out of the park. From our first interaction, Heather was warm and professional and extremely honest about everything. I told her what I wanted and what I could spend, and she and D'Andre were willing to work with me to provide the experience I was looking for (and they ended up putting together a reception that was more than I could have asked for) for the price I wanted (I ended up spending a bit more than I envisioned, but it was purely due to MY changes--never experienced any pressure or felt like I was being pushed into anything). Heather was SO SO helpful; seeing as how I was doing most things myself, she offered herself and her services at any point she could to make things easier on me-- advice for other vendors, her own decorations, etc. AND THE FOOD...OMG D'Andre...keep on doin' what you're doin', becuase it's a month later and my guests are still talking about how amazing the food was. The food was so on point, the service was so thoughtful, and the selection was incredible. I was able to impress and please both my foodie friends and my meat and potatoes family--which is a serious feat itself. Everything about the actual day of my wedding was kind of a mess (weather, venue issues, mix-ups out of anyone's control), but the supreme service, hospitality and care that Heather and D'Andre put into catering my event absolutely made up for everything that went wrong. They were able to circumnavigate last minute issues with no problem or loss of cool, and everything down to the waitstaff and decor/signs for the food were top notch. My husband and I truly felt that they had our best interests at heart and put love into what they did for us, and we are eternally grateful. I could not have asked for more, and I will be recommending their services to anyone who will listen until I am blue in the face. Seriously, people, if you want the utmost in professionalism, care, delicious food, value for the $$--please go with Feast & Imbibe. They are amazing to say the least!! I would never even consider working with another caterer.
Kristen has catered a few parties for me, including a baby shower and two corporate events. Her food is spectacular as well as beautifully presented. She also has excellent cocktails recipes and ideas. After every event, my guests always request her contact information because they are so blown away by her cooking skills and her presentation. Her staff is responsive and very hard-working. I will definitely use her for all of my events going forward and would highly recommend her to others.
I was very pleased with the catering process from Kitchfix. Ashley was very responsive and helpful throughout the ordering process and the food was very to most of our staff's liking. We ordered the Rosemary Beef, Falafel, Maple Shallot Chicken Breast, Caramelized Apple and Walnut Salad, and had sides including green beans, cauliflower and broccoli, and a cauliflower rice. All prepared and executed well.
Chez Mikey was amazing! The communication, food quality, and service were second to none. Looking forward to working with Chez Mikey on many fronts in the near future!
Cheffield Events & Catering has to be one of the best caterers we have hired for the office. The food smelled and tasted amazing. Everyone was going back for seconds and thirds!!! We are a picky bunch, but we will be using Cheffield's in the future. They were prompt, professional and the presentations was great. We loved that they printed up a menu for our small gathering. We would recommend Cheffield Events & Catering for catering, and we hope to do many events with them.
We used J's for a block party and he was great. Even though the weather didn't cooperate, he soldiered on and gave us an amazing meal. The tacos (steak, chicken and pork) were delicious!!! Everyone loved it. I would definitely recommend J's for any of your catering needs.

Taryn is a well organized, professional, and highly talented chef. Her food is fresh, creative, and absolutely delicious! She knows how to make healthy yet decadent food, but if you want to experience the full range of her cooking, let her use butter! I've used her for my last two dinner parties and will not go back to catering or any other private chef again. She has them all beat.
We can't say enough good things about Maya and her team at BellaRu. We first contacted her in April 2017 for a tasting. We probably should have been more prepared when we arrived but Maya was completely professional and helped us go through our event and what we may have overlooked or not thought to include. She helped us with family and friends who were vegetarian, gluten free and dairy free. During our walk through she went above and beyond catering by helping us with logistics, floor plans, timeline, signage, cake cutting and everything else we could have potentially forgotten. Her team was courteous and professional, they set up on time and had our four courses out exactly on schedule, the food was delicious and the take down at the end of the night was quick and unobtrusive. She even offered us a ride after the wedding when we realized we had no way to get to the hotel with some large items. Thank you so much Maya for all your hard work. Our wedding weekend is still being talked about and was considered a huge hit thanks in no small part to Maya and BellaRu.
Priscilla's cooking is one of the few gems I look forward to. As someone who has dined at very expensive restaurants and appreciates quality food, Priscilla's food still stands among the top ranks. I now seek for any opportunity to use to employ her culinary skills and catering abilities. If you ever get a taste for her meals, you will not be disappointed!
Look no further for the utmost professionalism and the best quality food/catering! I cannot rave enough about Michael! I hosted my baby shower at my townhouse in Lincoln Park. Most of my family is on the east coast, so the guest list was only about 20 people. I knew I didn't want myself or another guest to have to worry about cooking and a few of my guests have specific dietary restrictions so I wasn't comfortable ordering from a restaurant. One of my friends works at the law firm where Michael is the chef and passed along his information, letting me know he also caters these types of private events. Plus, she kept RAVING about how awesome his food is. Michael was so refreshing to work with from start to finish. He was responsive, detail oriented, and extremely professional (not to mention so friendly!) We had an initial phone meeting to discuss menu ideas, dietary restrictions, and theming. He got back to me with a preliminary menu (including a full ingredient list) and questions regarding what my kitchen was capable of (how big my oven is, how many burners I have, etc.) As I said, very detail oriented. He also came up with thoughtful, creative ideas for my friend's dietary restrictions so they could enjoy the "fun" treats, too! One of my favorite gluten free treats were his dark chocolate coconut tarts- totally delicious. The day of the shower he arrived right on time with everything we discussed for the final menu. He was professional and completely unobtrusive. He ensured all of the food was the correct temperature when served. He even came prepared with ingredient cards to put out with the food. Everything was DELICIOUS. But I think the best part of hiring Michael was that he left my kitchen SPOTLESS! I swear it was cleaner than when he started. Seriously, look no further for in-home catering. I already know who will do Baby Rose's first birthday party. I swear, Michael is Chicago's best kept secret.
