I am 5 months post total knee replacement and have begun working with Robert. He is open to all of my concerns and we are building a training program that will allow me to work upper body and core while only doing minor work on my leg as it heals. Just to get back into some fitness routine has been wonderful and Robert is helping me on the road to better me. I started training with John on a weekly basis a little over a year ago. My purpose for doing this was that finding myself in my 40's with 2 growing children I realized that I needed to take better care of myself and improve my strength to handle the greater physical needs my children's games were requiring. During our weekly sessions John has consistently built my overall body strength. With his experience he has been able to modify my workout if I had incurred any injuries prior to out meeting. This includes working with a shoulder injury from a couple of years back. John knows how all the muscle groups interact which proves very beneficial. Now I may never look or want to look or have the time to look like John did when he was Mr. Florida 1984 but the wisdom, experience and ability he has accumulated from his years in the fitness training world can be matched by few in the Indianapolis area and it has proved to be very beneficial to me and my family. If you want to get in shape and you are not an expert around what is possible with all those machines in the gym you would be very well blessed to train with John.
I met Kevin McAndrews when I was invited to attend a boot camp style work out that he was leading. I was impressed with not only how challenging the program was but also how much fun he made it. The boot camp was held outdoors and Kevin was able to use the park resources and a few pieces of equipment that he brought to create several stations to rotate the group through and challenge each member based on their current fitness level an demonstrate modifications as needed. I signed up for several personal sessions when Kevin opened Train Your Way Fit. Kevin always challenged me and encouraged me to find opportunities to work out and incorporate fitness into my office and home environments. I highly recommend Kevin as a personal trainer. He is very knowledgeable and creative when it comes to fitness and is able to work with clients that are in the beginning of their fitness journey or experienced athletes looking for a new challenge to their existing workout.
I was really intimidated by the idea of trying boot camp but Todd has been really good at working with me. When I started, I couldn't do a single sit up or push up. I'm a non-athletic, almost-50 mom of 3 teenage girls. Now, I can do sit ups and push ups and all sorts of stuff I never thought I'd be able to do!
Schedule is flexible. Brittony offers boot camp classes as well as open gym workouts. She's constantly learning new work outs as well so she can pass it along to her clients and never let things get boring. She cares about everyone 110% and it shows daily. This gym is a great, truly judgement free zone and makes you feel good about yourself!
