John P. says, "We recently had our porch and deck completely redone by Goveias Construction, and I can’t recommend them highly enough. From the very first walkthrough, Junior was on time, professional, and maintained excellent communication throughout the entire project. The crew showed up every day—on time—even in 90° heat, and their work ethic was outstanding. They went above and beyond expectations, not only rebuilding the porch and deck beautifully but also re-leveling a sinking second-floor bedroom, fixing and painting the resulting wall cracks, and even re-leveling the windows. The price was very fair, and the quality of work exceeded what we were expecting. It’s rare these days to find contractors who combine skill, reliability, and integrity at this level. If you’re looking for someone who delivers on their word and takes pride in their work, look no further than Goveias Construction. Thank you, Junior, for making this such a smooth and positive experience!"See more

FAQs

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

There are several great options for waterproof basement flooring. For example, epoxy floors are waterproof but are thicker and sturdier than paint. Make sure the concrete substrate has been prepared for application.

Tile is a designer’s dream, giving you a moisture-resistant surface that’s infinitely customizable. Rubber sheets or tiles are also good waterproof options, particularly for playrooms, workout areas or laundry rooms.

Vinyl tiles and planks imitate wood or other materials very convincingly, provide moisture resistance and last a long time. And sheet vinyl is affordable and a great waterproofing solution for those in need of quick fixes.

Harmony Home Improvement did a great job removing some old steam pipes in our basement. They completed the job quickly and at good value. I would recommend them for any jobs you need done around the home!
