I'm one lesson in with Stevie, but I can already tell he's a great teacher. He's incredibly chill, patient, and personable. Our first lesson consisted of learning a few basic cords, discussing and writing down some goals, and then assigning me some homework. Can't wait to continue my lessons with him!
I am having an incredible experience working with Debbie Kirkland. What a pro! I have only had a couple lessons, but she has been so patient helping a novice such as myself. Debbie is big on technique, and her comprehensive approach (even getting me down on a mat to show me proper breathing and placement) shows her commitment to her students. I feel like the foundation I am building will serve me well as I progress in my lessons. Even though it’s challenging and frustrating at times, I’m excited every time I go for my lesson. Debbie’s enthusiasm and passion for her craft make it enjoyable, and I’m grateful I found her and look forward to continuing my training under her direction.
Julissa was my sons ACT tutor and she was phenomenal. She is very pleasant, assertive, and efficient! I would definitely hire her again!
Gregg combines a solid understanding of musical theory with a genuine passion for music. He cares about his student's progression as musicians but also forms a bond with them personally. He understands how to tailor lessons to suit the needs and desires of each individual student. He is welcoming and non-judgmental which makes it easy for beginners to feel comfortable. He is reliable and a good communicator. Most of all, he makes practice fun.
Although I have only had a few sessions, I have been extremely pleased with my lessons and the interaction with Debbie. She appears to be a professional who cares about customer satisfaction. Our lessons begin on time and her experience and knowledge in teaching is obvious. I am very pleased with Debbie's studio and would recommend her to others.
I've been taking guitar lessons with Tim for the better part of the year and I couldn't be happier with my experience. He's talented, patient, and super accommodating to my whacky schedule. We've worked on various styles such as Jazz, Folk, and Blues and thanks to Tim I've made significant progress in my guitar playing! I highly recommend Tim as a teacher.
We had a CPR lesson. He was friendly and very accomodating. Not to mention the price, it was the best around!!!
Brian was awesome! I had him perform at my wife's 40th birthday party and he was great. He learned a few new songs (in addition to the extensive list he already knows) that my wife and her friends loved when he sang them. He was very accommodating in that he performed his first set outside and then moved inside. I highly recommend him and will hire him for other parties in the future!
We have been taking voice lessons with Ms. Lamm for 5 years (first my daughter, now my son) and they both love her. They have also learned and improved so much!
I have taken over a years worth of guitar lessons from American Music Studio and will continue taking lessons into the future. Brett in co. cater lessons to your skill level and learning style, encouraging you to push the limits and learn more. The instructors are approachable, motivational, personable and experts in their craft. I cannot express how educational and enlightening my experience with American Music Studio has been.
Maddie has been a wonderful vocal coach for our 11 year old aspiring musical theater star. Her preparation, warm ups and song choices are fantastic. She has worked with Celeste on her stage presence and has given her the confidence to sing with abandon! I love how much she has grown as a singer in such a short time!
Wanlu is an excellent instructor, she is patient, fun, and seems knowledgeable about her craft.
Melissa is a skilled and highly professional instructor. She makes lessons for the kids playful but also structured.
I've had two lessons. Derrick is very patient with me as I have no prior experience with music. He is very helpful in helping me understand the music and make progress quickly.
My 9 year old son has only been taking lessons for two months, so this is a very limited experience, but we plan to stick around! Magdalina is very kind and patient with him, explaining the new lesson without rushing, commending him on homework well done, and encouraging his interest. He loves his piano lessons and looks forward to them. Magdalina's schedule works very well for me, as I was able to pick a convenient time. She was very flexible when I asked to reschedule a couple of times. Also, the lesson environment is very pleasant - it's clean and spacious.
My teenage daughter has had several lessons with Orla and we have found her to be professional, kind and extremely knowledgeable about mechanics of the voice as instrument. She brings her enthusiasm and warmth to each lesson and my daughter very much enjoys working with her. In the few lessons that they've had so far, we have seen improvement in both voice technique and comfort of performance.
SooJi was fantastic. She was very patient and had a great sense of humor. Very likable and I learned so much Korean. She really tailored the lessons to my needs
Max is a consummate professional. His grasp of theory and vocal knowledge is impressive. He listens intently, is nonjudgmental, instructs with care and caters lessons to your needs. I look forward to a long term coaching relationship.
Mrs. Starks is an outstanding piano teacher! My son started lessons with her over two years ago. She is dedicated, organized, and patient; but yet firm enough to handle my "strong and sometimes impatient" 9 year old. He likes to do things his way, yet she keeps him focused and growing. She is extremely gifted and holds his attention weekly, which led us to increase his class time to one hour. I am grateful for the record of weekly assignments that enable the parents and students to keep on track and review challenging pieces. She allows my son to pick out his personal"passionate" pieces and diligently teaches him to play them whether its been in school or church recitals. She is the best piano teacher this side of the east coast. I highly recommend her you won't be disappointed. Doris B.
Michael is the real deal -- an accomplished composer and musician who's interested in mentoring others to further their musical interests. His knowledge of music is deep without being dogmatic in his approach and his personability adds appeal to the lessons. Highly recommended.
Always a great pleasure to work with! I've been taking guitar lessons with Zachary for about a year now, and there is really no better teacher around. He is a great classical talent and has so much to offer a student. Five stars!
