After months of urging from my wife, who had been training for nearly a year with John, I decided to make the personal investment to get more fit. My original motivation was to improve my golf game. I had lost distance and flexibility with my swing. Since December 2013, I've trained two days a week (60 minutes each session) with John to build strength and flexibility. During that time, I've lost 20 lbs of fat, added 21.5 lbs of muscle, and reduced my percentage of body fat over 10 points. My weight is actually unchanged but my physique is clearly improved. I've noticed subtle changes like better posture, endurance for activities, and my clothes fit differently (smaller waist, broader chest and shoulders). My wife has noticed a smaller stomach, thinner face, and smooth skin. Weight loss was not a primary goal for me (I enjoy food and alcohol too much too surrender those pleasures), but I recently had to provide blood work for an annual physical exam and was surprised with the change from a year ago. All of my health metrics (cholesterol, triglycerides, etc...) had significantly improved such that I will likely be able to discontinue at least one, if not more, medications. I also had my lowest blood pressure readings in at least five years. Obviously, I was very pleased with those results. And yes, the strength and conditioning work John has designed has allowed me to recoup and exceed my prior golf abilities. I recovered all of my distance, plus added an additional 15-20 yards per club. I recently had two 300 yard plus drives in the same round. A first for me. I was excited and amazed at my improved fitness. A personal trainer isn't cheap (he runs a business), but the cost in comparison to excessive medications and other unnecessary medical care is cost effective in the long run. It's money well spent. John's personable, has a great sense of humor, enjoys movie quotes and holds you accountable for your fitness improvement. I'm doing exercises (strength and conditioning) that I would've found laughable eight months ago (i.e. pirouette push-ups). John is the direct link to that improvement and performance.
I have been training at Train Your Way Fitness for 2 1/2 months now between 2-3 times a week. I can visibly see changes in my body and my endurance. I have been training with Michelle Carlson and she has pushed my body to its limits which is something I was never able to do on my own. Michelle has always been on time with her session times and makes sure I get my full value out of my time with her. She even has created my own personal book so I can keep track of my progress and my health statistics. If you are looking for someone who is friendly and kind, but can push you when you're not giving 100%, I'd recommend Michelle!
I hired Jonathan to break through a long standing training plateau. We worked together for about nine months, and in that time he essentially turned a 12-year experience-gained fitness view on its head. Jonathan not only addressed form and movement issues, but brought my mindset back to basics. Being that I had the experience to train hard independently, he focused on my mindset of how, why, and when I train by teaching me to pay more attention to the body and what it was communicating. Ultimately, Johnathan wasnt just a personal trainer, he was a life coach that brought me back to my meditation practice, taught me to listen to the body, and provided the nutritional foundation I needed to shatter previous goals. Using lessons from Jonathan I have gained 15 pounds lean mass while maintaining an 11% BF ratio and weighing in at 180, a difficult task for any ectomorph. Jonathan is always on time, professional, and takes the time to answer an extensive list of questions even if youre running over session time. If youre looking for a more blunt approach, dont be afraid to communicate openly about it, he will happily accommodate.
Aaron is a first class individual, mentor, and motivator to begin. The knowledge, dedication, determination and over-all personal relationship and detailed caring for each individual that he works with. I've had the experience to work and be trained by I'm my eyes one of the most hardworking individuals I have come across. I learned of Jessica through my daughter and I couldn't understand why she loved personal training. I received a few sessions for Christmas and now have become an loyal client! I now see Jessica twice a week. One day for strength training and big sweaty workout, and a second day to learn and practice yoga. I have come to love having someone come to my house and having privacy while I learn yoga. I have never practiced yoga before, but love it now. (There is also no Yoga studio within 15 miles of me). I also do strength training and at at 62 I feel that I am in the best shape of my life. I wish I would have started weight training and yoga 30 years ago. My arthritis has improved, my endurance is way up, and people cannot believe I am 62.
Have been training with Jack from BA Fitness for several months now. He has been great! Very punctual to every session, flexible with schedules but most importantly the in home training has been spectacular. He has great knowledge base about personal training, uses data driven studies and techniques, knows how to reach physical limits. I let my life go. I was very over weight and had just been prescribed anti-depressants from my doctor. My daily routine was my job, eating, and laying on the couch watching TV. I knew things had to change. I interviewed 5 different trainers on thumbtack and decided to go with Trevor Hoha and Beyond Personal Training. I was nervous and scared. But, within 6 months I had lost 40 pounds and was off of the anti-depressants! Trevor guided my through workout routines that he designed specifically for me and my goals. He provided me with good nutrition information and gave me the confidence to achieve my results. I have pride in myself, better health and more energy. I have a better self image and I look good! My friends and family are blown away by my transformation. A co-worker and a personal friend now have signed on with Trevor also and are having great results! I saw Elisa for training while she was working at LA fitness, she was my first trainer I've ever worked with. i decided to do training because I haven't worked out since I was a hockey player in high school and gained some weight being at college. Elisa did exactly what I asked her to. She would start each session with " what do you wanna work on today?" another thing I really liked was we did something new every session. (Unless there was something I liked then we would continue) but she had new work outs for me to do every time. One thing I noticed at the gym that I see some trainers do is bring there clients on the treadmill during there sessions. Why would you wanna waste your short 30min or hour sessions on the treadmill?! Elisa never did that. If I needed help on cardio she would show me or write up things that I could do on my own time. I wish I was able to afford doing hour sessions when I did then. 1/2 hour flew by and by the end of it i felt like I was just getting started, so if you can, do a full hour!

I have just started working with Will, but I feel like I've already learned so much. I went to him with a very weak knowledge base surrounding personal training and weight training. He initially asked a lot of questions to make sure that he understood what I was hoping to accomplish and then planned my training sessions around my goals. He has patiently answered my many questions and taking the time to to teach me the importance of physiology and proper form. I have only worked with him a few weeks, but I already feel that my mobility and strength have improved.
Paul has been my running coach for years. When I first started, I had terrible form. I couldn’t run a quarter mile without getting winded. Not to mention, I had aches and pains I had no idea how to work through. Because of his extensive USMC training, Paul was able to train me through better form, improvement in foot/arm placement, breathing techniques and building my mental strength to complete my first 5k. After the 5k, I was extremely motivated and Paul pushed me to complete a 10k then finally the Tough Mudder. It’s amazing what the body can do with proper support and coaching. Not to mention my aches and pains went away, I dropped excess body fat from improving my distance and most importantly I learned how to eat to perform instead of eating because “I feel like I have to.” Understanding customized caloric intake and macro placement was beyond beneficial and directly affected my workouts. My lifestyle is completely different now and I wouldn’t be where I am today without Paul.

I have had amazing success with Coach Drees Training. I have tried just about everything out there and have not gotten where I wanted to be. From other personal trainers, weight loss programs, to nutritionists. I have seen the healthiest and best results from my training with Coach Drees. His expertise in the exercise movements and the proper form in doing so has made a huge difference in my success.
