Ricky is great at getting my daughter motivated and making piano lessons fun.
Jim is a great teacher with a very pleasant teaching style. I took piano lessons as a kid (forced by parents) and hesitantly decided to pick things back up as an adult. I'm in my 9th week. Jim is very patient and understanding of those hectic work weeks when there's not a lot of practice time in between lessons. We go at my own pace with no pressure to be perfect each week (I got that a lot as a kid) and I'm getting a lot out of each weekly lesson. I look forward to practicing on my own at home because the music selections are fun and well-known. I also think he's very reasonably priced too given his extensive musical background. It's a real bargain!
I am a mother of grown children who decided to take piano lessons after years of running my children to various lessons and recitals. I had piano lessons as a young child and kept playing casually at home. Shulamits excellent technical training and knowledge of classical music has been inspiring to me for the two years I have been her student. It has kept me moving forward through the disciplined process of consistent practice at a level I never had experienced before. Now I even enjoy listening to Bach Inventions for enjoyment!
Mark helped our grandson with pre-algebra and was very nurturing and patient while teaching concepts. Nick really enjoyed his sessions with Mark and gained so much confidence. I believe the skills talked about carried thru in his other subjects as well. Mark is excellent!!
Mike is supportive and professional. He has introduced my daughter to many different types of piano music and helped her continue to love music by teaching to her strengths and not putting unnecessary pressure on her.
My daughters love piano and voice lessons with Michael Kullik
my experience with piano lessons with Ms Diane are fun and amazing...
Elaine has been teaching my son for about 4 years now and she is so patient with him. He likes going to piano lessons with her every week and has made steady progress.
Dr. Kemper provided a relaxing atmosphere at the my An Evening with the Author event by playing a mix of jazz and classical tunes at the start, and a plethora of Holiday/Christmas music at the end. He also found piano music for songs mentioned in the chapter I read, which was a delightful surprise.
Ryan was great with our daughter Gigi. He taught her piano over two summers breaks. She felt very comfortable with him and learned a lot. Gigi has some special health issues. Ryan was especially good about recignzing her strengths and how to get her to build on those rather than getting frustrated over what she could not do.
As a college student currently studying Music Education, my piano lessons with Ms. Jessica Shao were some of my best musical memories growing up. I first started lessons with Ms. Shao as an elementary student. She showed me great patience and kindness throughout each lesson, but always encouraged me to do my best. She did a great job of keeping records of our assignments and weekly practicing in our personal journals. She also knew how to motivate young learners with recitals and small prizes! I am very grateful for Ms. Shao for the past years of piano lessons, which led me to become a piano teacher myself today. I am confident in recommending her as a piano teacher to any student who is interested in learning piano!
Maria's passion for music is very apparent every single week that we show up for lessons. I've been so fortunate to watch my daughter go from a little girl taking lessons to a young adult continually working on her passion. The lessons now are a true collaboration between teacher and student where ideas are exchanged and a deeper thought goes into conveying the artistic meaning of the song. Music has become my child's passion, largely due to Maria's guidance and compassion. I'm so grateful we found Maria to pass on this beautiful gift.
My daughter has taken vocal lessons from TC Vocal Arts for 2 years. Within a month of starting lessons, she had noticeable vocal growth. Over time she has expanded her range almost a full octave, as well as improving intonation and sight reading. Angela has been very supportive, including attending some of my daughter's other vocal performances and has been easy to work with for scheduling.
Jim Plattes is an excellent violin teacher. I am a beginning adult violin student who requires a lot of patience. He provides a comfortable environment for learning and has given me useful instruction on developing my bowing hand, holding the violin, and developing the right tone. I recommend him highly.
I love piano and teaching, and I have good command in both. I particularly like children since they learn quickly, and they are usually more hardworking and enthusiastic.
I am a professional vocalist in the Twin Cities who also has a knack for academics. I have been tutoring students in music, math, writing, and Spanish since my high school years, and my bachelor's in music, anthropology, and psychology from Macalester College has only further fueled my passion for teaching.
I serve both adults and children and teach piano and voice and acting lessons. I specialize in preparing students to audition for choirs or theater productions. I especially love teaching piano to older adults. I have been an actor and a singer, singing with the Minnesota Opera Company for many years.
I teach how to learn, how to make a life in music, guitar lessons, songwriting lessons, and music theory.
A concert pianist and experienced piano teacher brings to his piano studio a vast wealth of teaching and performing experience which enables him to successfully introduce all students of any level and age to the beautiful world of music. He believes in providing the highest quality comprehensive approach to musical studies, exposing students to the theoretical and historical aspects of music, as well as the joys of performing. He successfully introduce all performers of any level and age to the beautiful world of music. He gives the highest quality comprehensive approach to musical studies, exposing students to the theoretical and historical aspects of music, as well as the joys of performing. You don't need to practice long hours a day. You don't need to get a boring session of "don't do this" or "don't do that". You do really learn how to have fun at the keyboard.
I have taught piano for over 25 years, and I enjoy seeing a student go from knowing nothing about playing the piano to being as advanced as they want to be. I believe in using encouragement as a motivator along with much patience. As long as a student is really trying to do his best, mistakes do not bother me. I just help the students work through their mistakes, and try to help them learn through them. I teach students from age 5 and up. I do not take students younger than 5; at this age, students must have someone at home who can sit with them, and help them with their practicing. All beginning students must be able to write and say the alphabet and their numbers 1-10. I charge $18 per 1/2-hour lesson given weekly. The lessons are paid for by the month at the first lesson of the month.
I provide experienced, professional piano instruction in your home! I have over 20 years of experience in teaching piano, saxophone and other woodwind instruments. I have excellent references, and my rates are very reasonable!
