I am the worst kind of client for a personal trainer because I HATE to exercise. Chad is a lovely man who was unfailingly positive and non-judgemental. I have known and worked with Ken as my personal trainer for several years. He is one of the best in the Greater KC area. He cares most about helping his clients achieve their fitness goals in a respectful and motivating way. I have had personal trainers in the past that pushed me in unrealistic pursuit of their own goals. Ken's focus is always on your goal and making sure that you keep up with it. I would highly recommend him for those that are just wanting to start exercising and those that have goals they want to pursue.

I just had my first training session with Sarah. It was incredible. She really listens and understands. As someone who suffers from muscle and nerve pain every day due to fibromyalgia, I was concerned that a personal trainer would push my body too much and I would be struggling for a week after. Sarah has put my body at ease. She worked me enough that I feel a burn but my body isn't in agony. I am so happy to have found Sarah and I look forward to many, many more sessions with her! I would highly recommend Sarah to anyone!

I've been struggling with my fitness and weight issues for three years. I feel like I've tried just about everything. After checking out James Hanton's website and the HitchFit website, I was intrigued by the amazing transformations that were highlighted. I was a little intimidated at first, not ever having weight trained with a personal trainer but James is so personable, that I felt at ease right away. The hour-long workouts that focus on different muscle groups each time, fly by because it's not just a good challenge but James also makes it fun. James created a special diet just for me that has made a substantial and immediate impact on my body fat and weight. He also provides excellent accountability. We're tracking body fat and weight often so that I will reach my goals in 12 to 16 weeks, and he has encouraged me every step of the way. My only regret is that I didn't start training with James sooner!

I started seeing Eric from a referral by my sister. I was currently doing lab testing and supplementation with my ND, and figured I would let Eric take a shot at my health issues. The first consult I overlapped with my ND, taking Eric's interpretation to her for review and 2nd opinion. Her response to his evaluation was that "he probably has more schooling, experience, and detailed knowledge about this evaluation than I do, so I think you are fine to work with him." I don't have insurance, so the cost of seeing Eric, or seeing my ND was pretty close to the same. After a slow year of testing and supplementation, we saw a few changes in the right direction. It wasn't until I finally started following his diet/exercise recommendations that the changes became much more obvious. I've always been on the "small" side for my weight, so I didn't really think my diet mattered much. Besides, I thought I ate relatively healthy anyways, and had fewer digestive symptoms after following a gluten free diet for the past year. I knew I wasn't in "optimal" health, but I didn't think his diet was necessary at first. But after a year of supplementation, he finally pushed that diet was the next step. Within just a few weeks of REALLY following his recommendations-- getting enough calories, timing of meals, walking every day, and WATER-- I could SEE a difference in my body, and felt a difference in my energy and moods. That let me know, ok ok, he's on to something. I just figured that his process was like my ND in that the blood work shows improvement but nothing I would physically see or feel a difference with. Now, almost two years later, (because of my own stubbornness in not wanting to continue this process) even though I still have some residual health issues, I also have the faith that by listening and really DOING what Eric recommends, we will be able to positively address those issues as well. Eric has helped me see my health like playing a sport. You have to commit to practicing the little things everyday, making good habits everyday, or else you will never see the progress you really are wanting to achieve. You can't be a successful athlete without practicing everyday. In the same, I can't expect to be in optimal health if I'm not willing to follow my "coaches" training recommendations on a consistent basis. When I do what he says, things work like they should...shouldn't that be enough proof for me? We will see in the next year. Regardless, Eric has shown he knows what he is doing, and has taught me to believe his ability to accurately evaluate and interpret what is needed for my optimal health...its up to me to actually follow through.

What I like best about Ted Owens is that he is smart, well educated, and funny. I picked Ted nearly a year ago to be part of a “team of experts” I was then assembling to REMAKE myself at age sixty-eight. I had packed on too many pounds, let my joints get stiff because of arthritis, and neglected both diet and exercise for over a decade. For several months I had also suffered a mysterious pain that limited movement in one arm and shoulder—a pain that even my orthopedic surgeon seemed unable to diagnose, let alone to fix. Ted has been very successful in motivating me to move again. We began slowly by repairing and strengthening my too long unchallenged muscles. Because of his multiple degrees and certifications, Ted simply knows more about the human body and how it works than do most folks who call themselves “trainers.” He is constantly able to adjust workouts to meet the needs and limitations of each client, whether that person is twenty or seventy. If one exercise hurts too much, he’s always got another in mind that does not hurt but will accomplish the same end. It took a while, but the pain in my arm went away altogether. Not only that, my knee joints are now both stronger and more flexible than they have been in years. I no longer choose to “sit out” of family activities. In fact, I astounded my grown children last fall by joining them on a three-mile hike into the woods (six miles round trip!!) while vacationing in the Appalachian Mountains of Virginia. Rather than following, I set the pace and led all of the young adults up the trail and then quickly climbed to the top of a waterfall while they were busy playing with my grandchildren in the stream sixty feet below. I wasn’t even winded when we were caught in a sudden thunderstorm and ran most of the way back to our car. Want to feel twenty years younger, a great deal fitter, and much happier with yourself? Dhruv was a great personal trainer that really trailered to your every need. He made sure I had the necessary steps to achieving my goals such as using apps and a creating a simple meal plan. He made sure that I understood what I was working on and also made sure I was doing the exercise right which is what everyone should want in a trainer. With his help I lost over 20 pounds and he has given me the confidence that I never had before. Dhruv is very easy to work with and wants to see his clients succeed! He worked with my crazy work schedule and made sure I made up any workout I missed. I would 100% recommend Dhruv to anyone who is looking to lose weight or tone their bodies. The number one focus here is transformation, we also do competition prep etc. but that is just a small part. It's not a retention based model unlike many other places the goal is not to try to get clients to sign up for training, and then try to keep them coming back forever. My goal here is to teach my clients how to believe in themselves, provide them the tools to transform their bodies, and gain the education through the process so that they can maintain the fit lifestyle and go out and inspire others to make positive changes in their own lives! I specialize in 12 - 16 week transformation programs, the time really depends on your effort and the distance you have between your current state and your end-state goals. Usually clients come in 2-3 sessions per week and will be working out on their own for the other days. However for a select few I will allow 1 session per week, however the stats show that with 1 session a week it is very easy to fall of the program and loose cohesion, about 90% of people who do 1 session a week will fall off. A tailored to you nutrition plan will be provided. Without proper nutrition, the body will not change no matter how much training you do! It is a critical part of the process. All of my one on one training sessions are conducted at the Hitch Fit Gym Overland Park location. Sessions are one hour in length! Hitch Fit is a very high energy and positive place! I love my clients! And want them to feel like a part of the family! For the nutrition I do not believe in fad diets, in quick fixes, in miracle pills, in dropping scale weight as fast as possible or cutting out food groups. I believe in teaching my clients how to eat balanced nutrition consisting of quality whole foods and educating them on the foods that they should be eating, so that they not only attain their fitness goals, but can maintain them for a lifetime. Rate is $65 per session, clients pay in full for the 12-16 weeks or 6-8 sessions at a time. (One month) This includes the nutrition plan.
