About

Mary is the best teacher we ever had without any doubt. My son, he is five, loves her piano lessons a lot! He will not make so far if not Mary is teaching.

About

I hired Ms Speckart to teach piano lessons for my 6 year old; My 6 year old has adapted to her style of teaching right away. n the short period of time that my little girl had been going to her class , my observation of Ms. Speckart is that she is patient, teaches in a fun way for kids to learn , and she is obviously very well educated and experienced in her craft.

About

My daughter, son and myself, all take piano lessons from Ms. Calahan. My daughter was the first one to start piano lessons about 2.5 years ago when she was 9 years old. Ms. Calahan is a great teacher and made things fun but challenging enough for my daughter to make great great advancements in learning the piano. Now my son (8 yrs.old) has started as well and I also started learning the piano as an adult. Ms. Calahan is awesome at working with all ability levels (beginner to advanced) and all ages. She also offers recitals for her voice and piano students (only if you are comfortable in performing though) which have helped my daughter gain confidence in being in front of an audience. The recitals are nice because they are done in a more relaxed/smaller setting.

About

I took lessons from Diane as a teenager and I learned so much! I was a pretty casual pianist but I know that if I had really wanted to compete and excel, Diane could have gotten me there. She made it very easy to acquire books since she always had them available at the lessons so I never had to go out and hunt down anything specific. But, she was always open to helping me learn music I found on my own as well. I wish that I had put more effort into my lessons because Diane has so much to offer motivated students. As an adult, I have begun playing again after a few years of neglect. And, while I am very rusty, I still remember a lot of the tips I got during my lessons.

About

Lessons: Braden Music Studio offers beginner to advanced violin lessons and beginner piano lessons. I work privately with students to find the best teaching method for their individual learning style. After 22 years of playing music, a bachelor's degree in music, a master's degree in progress, and nine years of teaching experience, I have a firm foundation from which to instruct. Beyond my credentials, I simply love to teach. Music should be fun, exciting, and challenging for the students. Yes, technique, theory, and precision are incredibly important, but it is also my goal to turn each student into an artist with a passion and respect for what he/she is learning. Wedding/Party Entertainment: Live music is a wonderful way to add extra sophistication to a special event. I personally have many years experience playing weddings and private parties, both as a solo musician, and in ensembles. With a wide network of musicians available to me, I can offer assistance in putting together the right ensemble mixture for your event. A consultation can be arranged to determine any special requests you may have to make your event one of a kind!

Bill Boyer has been the primary educator for our 17 year old son for the past year, with the main focus being music. He is providing piano, voice, and penny whistle instructions, with an emphasis on piano. Bill is not only a gifted musician himself, but has a natural ability to teach. He is also preparing our son to use his newly acquired skills to perform in a band. Our son has Attention Deficit Disorder and learning disabilities, however, has natural musical talents. Bill has the patience to work with our son's handicaps, and the know-how to develop his abilities. We highly recommend this talented young man as a teacher!

My daughter who is 12 had been taking piano lessons from the same teacher since she was 7, who was an esteemed music director for a very long time locally. When her teacher retired, she strongly encouraged me to find a teacher who is professionally trained, and was a very high quality teacher. I am so glad I took a chance with 'thumbtack' and found Sam. Sam has a natural ability to teach - I appreciate his encouragement with her, as well as his honest feedback. He is extremely knowledgable, and also as a younger teacher has been able to make music/ learning relateable. He is very kind, professional, always on time and very easy to get in contact with. I feel very fortunate that my daughter has the opportunity to study with him!

We are seeking piano lessons for our two children aged 7 and 8 plus a friend aged 7. Parents play piano/other musical instruments, but seeking someone skilled at teaching piano to children. Would consider 3 individual lessons back-to-back or possibly a group lesson if applicable. All three kids are music lovers and enjoy singing; have church/school choir experience but no reading music yet. Currently I pick up all 3 kids after school and supervise them from about 3:30 p.m. until about 5 p.m. -- this would be an ideal window if possible. We will be in town all summer but the friend will be out of town all June and July. We are open to starting in the summer and adding the friend in August, or waiting for August for all 3.
