Dear Parent: It is my great pleasure to recommend Irina Kelsall to you as a piano teacher for your children. Irina is a gifted school teacher and piano instructor. I have had the pleasure of knowing Irina for seven years. She has been my son’s elementary school teacher as well has his piano teacher. Irina is absolutely passionate about her students. Her love for teaching is evident in her enthusiastic and energetic teaching techniques. She is exceedingly patient with all students, encourages them and coaxes the very best effort from each and every one. Although she is arguably one of the best music teachers in the state, her prices are extremely reasonable. In my opinion, she is worth every penny she charges and I certainly believe I have received excellent service for my money. I believe my son’s life has been enriched under Irina’s tutelage and he will continue to play the piano for the rest of his life. My son has studied the piano under Irina for four years. While he does not intend to pursue music as a career, the additional education Irina provided through her music appreciation class, known as Camp Kelsall has added an additional layer of knowledge and enjoyment to the regular piano lessons. I am tremendously grateful to her for everything she has taught my son and the joy his music has brought to our family. I am happy to discuss my son’s experiences with you further if you so desire. Please feel free to contact me any time josephfranksmom@yahoo.com.

Justin does a wonderful job of instilling a general love of and appreciation for music inn our 10 year old girl. We hired him to teach guitar, but he also uses singing and our piano in the lessons. We all really like his holistic approach. Justin is laid back and very easy to get along with, as well as trustworthy. We highly recommend him!

Adam is a great teacher. To start, he is a personable guy; I have never found lessons overly tedious in part because he makes people feel at ease. He is also flexible to your interests and abilities in music so that you literally start learning songs and styles you like from day one. Adam's grasp of music theory and, in my case, the guitar, is routinely amazing in its complexity and depth. On multiple occasions, if I was having particular trouble with certain chords on the guitar or something like that, he was able to provide alternative methods or styles that were easier for me, which I appreciated. Not only that, he's able to break those concepts down so that even someone with little exposure to music like myself could understand it. Within a 4 months of lessons with Adam, I was able competently play entry-level songs and am still improving by the week with his help.

Dan is an incredible teacher. Through his voice teaching, he is strengthening my daughter’s self confidence and passion for music and musical theater. His classes are not just singing. It’s the science behind it where he teaches her how the body and it’s organs work to sing. It’s learning to create her character. It’s learning to read music. It’s body awareness. It’s understanding that every area, even one you love, has difficult parts or areas you don’t enjoy, but you work on your broccoli because it makes you stronger. He does all this in a positive manner. It’s really impressive.

Ron worked hard on editing a song for a father-daughter dance for a wedding. It was a challenging song and he kept at it until it was perfect. Outstanding!

About

In addition to the prestigious institutions that I have attended, I have also had the opportunity to teach many clients. One of my greatest experiences and proudest moments was being selected to be a professor's assistant at my University, which meant I would be lecturing a course to freshman students regarding important, difficult concepts. In addition to the students I have fought before this, I was able to greatly improve my lecture and teaching ability at the university level, and regularly receive feedback from established professors at the University.
