Working with JR was a great experience, both for my physical health and my mental health. One of the first things he asked me was if I was willing to work hard during the workouts, so I knew right away that he takes what he does seriously. He listened to my goals and habits first, then based on that, he talked to me about eating plans that fit me. He even asks his clients to text him if they have questions, and that's really helpful for someone like me who struggles with the eating part of fitness (so he's received some texts of questionable cereal choices from me). And even though he's training all day, he still replies quickly. I lost 20 pounds and have been able to keep it off. I didn't even think it was possible for my body to look the way it did - it was better than when I was at my thinnest. The workouts are serious, JR will push you, but I'm grateful that he's so personable. I've been around other trainers who are really tough with you and kind of make you feel like you don't belong in the gym. That kind of training doesn't work for me, I would just get discouraged. I need someone who was going to tell me what to do, push me if they know I can do better, and then trust me to do that. That's how it was for me working with JR. I appreciate how flexible he is, he'll actually reach out and encourage you to come to classes, or if a session started late, let you schedule an extra one at no additional charge. I definitely recommend JR and I'm grateful for how much he influenced my overall WELLNESS. After working with him, my stress went down and it helped my self-esteem. His packages and the value you receive are worth it if you're ready to work!
I just started in the beginning of June and already I am accomplishing my goalsâ¦I feel like I have more energy and looking slimmer/more toned. Krisâ approach to reaching my goals includes cardio, strength training and diet. Kris has an excellent understanding of how the human body works and readily shares itâ¦.I like knowing what I am doing and what the benefit is. His personal touch brings a light heartedness to the workout but he is always encouraging you to do your best and to push yourself as much as you can to get the MAXimum benefit. And he is pretty funny too! The Maxfit studio is very clean. And everyone is so friendlyâ¦â¦I do truly look forward to my workouts because the environment is awesome.
I've been training with Elton for about 6 weeks now. During this time I've seen a huge improvement in my strength, cardio and flexibility, and I'm on track for achieving my goals within the timeframe we set at the beginning. Each training session is hard work but so much fun and Elton always checks in on my diet and adjusts the exercises to best suit me. I have been training with Mario for about two years. He is friendly, knowledgeable, and experienced. He provides the type of training I am looking for (strength and bodybuilding) rather than just whatever he likes best. Some of his other clients focus on power lifting, for instance. He also has a good eye for form and unique circumstances for each person's body. He can catch if you have scoliosis or imbalances in muscle strength between your right and left for instance. Finally, Mario is not the type of trainer to smother you with unnecessary praise. He coaches you as necessary, and when you really have made an exceptional improvement, he will let you know.

I also had the chance to explain some knee and back issues. She was able to formulate a plan that was designed specifically for me that included knee-friendly cardio and strength training. Over the years I've tried to get serious and "hit the gym". But gyms were always intimidating to me. I don't feel that way now at all. I can walk into any gym and put together a good work out, be comfortable with the equipment, and know that my form is proper. I worked out with Vinnie for almost a year and was sorry to see him relocate. His knowledge of physical training, various types of workouts and nutrition were exceptional. He was able to build a custom workout that fit me and my schedule, with great results. I am a heavy traveler and he was able to help me develop a workout that I could use both at home with my weights and machines as well on the road with matching exercises that could be done in a hotel room. Also, Vinnies professional and time oriented business model was second to none, he adapted to my schedule and lifestyle and was always on time and ready to motivate me off of the couch. He treated me like a friend and colleague, not just another client.
Rudy was the first trainer I had ever worked with - my introduction to training, you might say. The first time we met he asked my goals, and then set a training objective for me that right off the bat I had zero faith I could ever achieve, but was ecstatic that he thought I could do it. Turns out he was right, and I've never felt so accomplished in my life. Rudy was amazing in pushing me to do things past what I thought were my limits, yet didn't let me get discouraged by failing. He knew my strengths/weaknesses and planned workouts to help me improve - always showing me I could do more than I thought - much, much more. He never let me slack, but it was also never a beat-down. The workouts were varied so it was never the same, dull pushing weights and counting reps. He used a wide range of methods and always explained how they would help my strength/agility/coordination/endurance/etc. Not only that, but when I could no longer train with Rudy, he made sure to pair me with a trainer that would be compatible to my needs. He even went over my goals, strengths/weaknesses, and other insights with the new trainer to make sure I would stay on track with what I was trying to accomplish. Working with Rudy gave me confidence in myself. He went above and beyond, and I will always be grateful for that.
It was the last week of July 2012 when Matt was appointed to train me with a goal of building up my strength with weight training. Since then, I have been not just trained, but motivated and substantially educated by Matt about physical fitness. My journey in physical fitness began in Nov 2011 when I entered the gym for the first time to do boot camp style training for losing fat which was at around 26.5 percent. Soon I realized the need for bolstering strength and improving endurance and I decided to join Rapid Fitness (not just because my friends went there but because it was an affordable option for having a personal trainer). Matt was appointed as my personal trainer and from that point on I began my journey toward adding substantial muscle and not just burning fat. When I began training, like most newbies wanted to see I whether I could work with heavier weights, sometimes even at the cost of form and full range motion. Matt had a hard time but he was eventually able to control this tendency of mine and get me back on track to concentrate on form and ensuring full range of motion, rather than just focusing on the weight numbers. I did realize the benefit of it later when my muscles started growing stronger and I had diminished injury periods. Another thing that Matt guided me through that was very crucial was building up my chest, back, and legs rather than just concentrating on arms. I spent quite a lot of effort trying to convince Matt otherwise, but I am glad he stood strong and gave me the correct guidance. Now, after almost seven months of training, I realize the difference. I had well-sized legs, unlike most of the people I knew who had this huge upper body but small legs. This not only helped me with legs but since the big muscles were built up, the body fat started reducing quickly and I was able to get over the plateau and hit 20 percent body fat. Due to this, even though my arms didnt appear big, I could still manage to lift a substantial amount of weight. Matt didnt just guide me through weight training, he was able to notice my lack of flexibility and then guide me through stretching exercises. This cautious measure has prevented lots of injuries I would have brought upon myself due to my negligence. One thing I noticed training in a gym with correct guidance is that it doesnt just change you physically but also psychologically. Over time, you become more confident, with a positive attitude, and more focused. It doesnt just teach you to appreciate the hard work of others, but to appreciate yourself and motivate those like you who were scared of entering the gym because they felt they were not cut out for it. I was really happy when I visited my family in India in January 2013 and everyone observed and appreciated the difference in me. Thats when I realized the guidance and training provided by Matt was the one thing that was able to make this happen and no kind of dieting would have worked on its own. This realization is the reason for writing this testimonial. I am thankful to Matt for not just guiding and motivating me, but helping me to control my tendency to lose form when I wanted to lift heavier weights.

Natalie is fantastic. All around. I find that she has a creative, scientific, and systematic approach to helping me reach my goals. She has a lot of knowledge and some really good practical experience.
