Zachary is a patient teacher who has an impressive knowledge of the guitar fretboard and musical theory. He provides personalized and useful exercises and advice that made me a better guitar player. He is also highly skilled at advanced electric guitar techniques like sweep picking and arpeggios. If you take a look at his videos, you'll see what I mean!

George is a very patient teacher who teaches at the pace of the student. One of the great things about his teaching style is that he has been open to helping my son with the outside material my son brings to his lessons. It is nice that George allows for the student to be part of his or her own learning. He is also open to answering any questions the student might have. I sit in on my son's lessons and have been very pleased with them and would recommend George for anyone who wants to learn the guitar.

I have observed Mrs. Lisa Bender as a piano teacher, and have attended one of her piano recitals. I have watched her personal interactions with her students and music therapy clients. As a result, I highly recommend Mrs. Bender as a thorough, patient and motivating piano teacher to students who admire and respect her, as well as a very qualified, sensitive and creative Music Therapist who has made a difference in the lives of her clients.

Adkins Guitar Lessons is a family owned and operated business. The first instrument I picked up was the drums at age 10 and over the last several years I have added guitar and bass to my tool-belt. My brother and I come from a very musical family with many years of experience teaching guitar and bass.

About

We provide guitar lessons for all ages! Our services are the following: * Private Instruction Guitar Lessons: The principle of guitar is taught at lessons. Students can choose whether they wish to play on an electric or acoustic guitar. It is important for all students to have a book to work from in addition to a pencil and a notebook to write down their lessons. Guitar lessons are given in 30-minute sessions. The cost of each lesson is $18. Once a specific time and day of the week to meet has been agreed upon by the teacher and the student, one month of lessons will be blocked off and reserved for that student. Payment of one month of lessons is due the beginning of each month. * Group Lessons: Group lessons can be a mix of students of various ages. The cost is $40 for a month session. Each session will be once a week and will last 40 minutes each. The group lesson will go over the basics of guitar, such as entry level chords, strumming, reading tab, and some basic guitar riffs. There may be advanced groups if there is an interest. Discounts are available for siblings wishing to take the class together. If you wish to continue on to individual private lessons after taking a group class, the first lesson is free after paying for one month of private lessons. You can also receive one free private lesson if you refer a friend and if they sign up for private lessons. What you can expect from me: You can expect professionalism, dedication, flexibility, friendliness and to be easy to work with. What I expect from you: You practice your lesson and be prepared. You get out of it what you put into it, and most of all, remember to have fun and be up for a challenge!
