Jeremy is an excellent teacher. My daughter has benefited in more ways than I can count because of Jeremy. She has become more organized and is learning an advanced curriculum in both math and writing. He is a dedicated teacher and always makes sure my child's learning comes first. Now, instead of arguing with her to study for exams, she does so without hesitation. He gives me a summary of every lesson and explains what my daughter has been learning and what she can improve on. Overall, Jeremy is a excellent role model and plays a pivotal role in my daughter's life. I won't hesitate to hire him again for my second daughter if needed.

Meena tutored my 7 year old son for over a year. Meena was able to create a program that suited my sons learning curve. First, she was able to improve his handwriting skills to the point that the teacher gave him and excellent. Then they tackled spelling, starting from smaller to much more complex words. I was so impressed with the complexity of words my son was able to read and spell. His reading level increased by a grade. Finally, we moved on to reading comprehension. Meena provided reasonable amount of homework between their sessions and was flexible and dependable.

I’ve taken my SATs a couple of times and although I am not a bad student, I just felt that I could have done better, I knew it inside, but just could not find where it was. I got the Getting Into The Ivys tutoring program and worked with a Chelsea tutor. What I really like about my tutor is that she’s a qualified teacher and is professional and knows how to actually teach concepts properly. I really did not want to take any chances. Going to university is very important to me and my family. Susan my tutor developed a special study plan just for me, which helped me focus on my key weaknesses, without feeling de-motivated, in-fact I was so enthused by her, I actually looked forward to all my sessions. She is a brilliant tutor and I am so very grateful. I was able to increase my composite core by 100. I am very pleased.

Michael is a very experienced teacher. We are developing a study plan for my teenage Chinese stepdaughter to master the English language. He spends hours preparing material for sessions with students that he tutors. He is patient and he understands the needs of non-English speaking Asian immigrants. He is truly a gentleman and shows great respect when he communicates with others, no matter what their age, race or nationality. Thank you, Michael, for all that you do.

Sandy is not only a fantastic tutor, she's an amazing a trust worthy person. We sent our first grader to Sandy after we noticed that he was falling behind in his reading and math skills. Sandy was incredibly patient and understanding. Her experience as a life long educator is evident. We began to see drastic improvement in our son's reading and math skills only a few short weeks after sending him to work with Sandy! This has been a huge relief for us. We couldn't give a higher recommendation. Our son continues to go to Sandy for help to this day. Thanks Sandy!

Judy has been tutoring my 5th grade son in reading and writing since last summer. She has really taken the time to get to know his interests and learning style and, as a result, he is motivated and engaged during their tutoring sessions. She targets her teaching to his needs, which range from reading decoding and comprehension to spelling and writing. I have seen a significant improvement in his school performance and in his self confidence since he began working with Judy.

I found Ben through a tutoring company. My son needed a "homework helper" when he was in Middle School after being diagnosed with a learning disability. Ben showed great patience and helped him to stay focus and organized. We liked him so much that when my younger son was in elementary school and had some reading issues we went right back to Ben. Noticing my young son's lisp he incorporated music and auditory things into the mix which totally worked in helping him through this awkward stage. Fast forward to the present and my son with learning disabilities is a Junior at Hamilton College and my young son is at the Dalton School and is doing very well. I wouldn't hesitate to work with Ben. He connects to people, especially young people and he really cares about helping them. It's great we don't need him anymore but sad at the same time.

Mrs. Nolan is an excellent teacher as well as a tutor. She prepared my sister and myself better than we could have imagined for the SAT/ACT. She is prompt and efficient. Mrs. Nolan also tutored me in preparation for the AP Language exam and I earned a score of 4 (out of 5) thanks to her dedication. The following year she continued to make herself available to me by helping with the final touches on my college essay and supplemental college writings. We are both grateful for her commitment and enthusiasm while tutoring us both. Anyone that will have Mrs. Nolan as a tutor should consider it a privilege!

Lisa is a patient and component tutor. My daughter London loves her. She has given my daughter back her confidence when it comes to reading and writing. She works with your schedule for working parents. I have had several tutors, but I feel confident in her skills and professionalism. Will recommend her to anyone that needs a tutor.

Danaya was a very good tutor. She helped me with my writing making it stronger, grammatically correct and legible for the reader to understand. She took her time with me, especially when I found myself getting frustrated, but her calming energy helped shift the mood as we found many different ways to help make the information easier for me to understand.

'Gabby was my son’s writing tutor for most of the last school year. He was in fourth grade then, and was having a really hard time organizing his thoughts & getting them down on paper. Gabby was able to guide him into expressing himself and building arguments in opinion pieces. She was endlessly calm and very no-nonsense, and also quite gentle."

Seamus worked with my daughter last fall during the very stressful college application process. The task of writing the critically important Common Application essay, as well as the supplemental essays required by each college, seemed overwhelming. Over the course of two months Seamus guided, calmed, and helped her to shape numerous essays. He assisted her in developing meaningful ideas and finding her voice, which led to beautiful and honest writing. Seamus spent unpaid hours editing her work, bringing revisions to their subsequent tutoring sessions. He understands exactly what the schools are looking for in the essay submissions and he is able to ensure that the writing meets those expectations. Most importantly, Seamus is a patient, humorous, and kind person who is able to build close relationships with adolescents, allowing them to shine even in the most stressful of circumstances. My daughter will be attending Middlebury College next fall and I believe that the essays were pivotal in her admission.
