I agree with the other reviewers on this site, Louis is an excellent teacher! I have been taking bass lessons from him for two months now and have already made a lot of progress. He is extremely knowledgeable and takes many different approaches to address specific needs. Highly recommended.
Antonio taught me formal electric bass lessons from 2003 - 2006 at Studio 63 in East Brunswick, New Jersey. He provided me with an incredible musical foundation to build upon my own strengths as a musician. Antonio has an excellent ability to sense a student's needs and effortlessly blend them into the lesson at hand; whether it be theory, rudiments, or a song of the student's choosing. To this day I still apply many of the fundamentals that I learned under his instruction. He is a teacher who cares for his students and is truly passionate about music, and it reflects in his lessons.
Stephen came to our home and taught my daughter the bass. Stephen was always curtious, pleasant and fun! He taught her for around 6-8 months. She had a great experience and I would highly recommend hiim to anyone. What a great guy and teacher!
Rob has been giving my grandson lessons in piano since the spring of 2017. My grandson had been to a few different teachers that did not have the patience for younger children. Rob developed great lesson plans that were fun while my grandson learned. Rob's experience and positive way of teaching allows us the reassurance to recommend him to so many others. We're so lucky we found him ! Not many music teachers fulfill so many qualities we were looking for. (Affordable, flexible schedule, experience with young children and always positive and encouraging) A +++ Carol O from Wilmington, De
Joe is a great teacher. He has been instructing my son, a16 year old, for the last 2 years and has really connected with him. He's knowledgeable and knows how to keep the kids excited and interested. He is able to split his time with piano and guitar and make progress with both. He's always on time and super reliable!!
I have been working with David for a few sessions now. My lessons are tailored to what works for me. We are working at my pace and I am already well on my way to playing one of my favorite songs. I would definitely recommend!
I offer guitar, bass and drum lessons for students of all ages and ability levels. My lessons are convenient and time saving, as I come to your home.
unlike a lot of current, younger guitar teachers, I teach traditional music sight reading plus key & scale theory applied to the guitar...music is a vocabulary so, just as you would use your language vocabulary to read whatever book, magazine, or web posting you like, you use the vocabulary of music to play any song you like...I know hundreds of songs but your goal should be able to learn enough about music & the guitar to play what you want to play...we can start with simple songs that I know but, eventually, you will start to build your own repertoire as well as stockpile 'riffs' & 'licks' that you can apply to songs...if you don't want to study traditional sight reading, we can build a vocabulary of chords and scales then learn how they relate to each other in the various 'keys' that songs & music are played in
I offer home music lessons in the South Jersey Area (Camden, Burlington, and Gloucester counties) at $30 for a half-hour lesson. Discounts for multiple lessons and students are given. I have been teaching private lessons for over 10 years. I have experience teaching all ages, from children to adult and have four children myself. I previously taught at a rock school and local music stores before I began teaching home lessons. I believe the student should enjoy learning music, and that he or she should not consider it a chore, which is why I vary my lessons to meet the needs of each individual student's personality, style, and choice of music. I have several students who have special needs and am willing to work with parents to help their children achieve their musical goals. My students' age range from lower elementary school to adult and from beginners to other music teachers. Learn the styles and techniques you want at a time that fits your schedule.
I will gear my teachings towards your strengths at first in order to strengthen your motivation. From there we will decide what genre you want to work on and develop immediately and we'll get cooking. I'm very good giving you clear cut information and sizing doses of information per lesson.

I've performed at Carnegie Hall.
I have often been told that people who study with me reach a very high level of achievement in a relatively short amount of time. Some of my students have actually gone on to become teachers themselves.
Most often it seems that in music teaching there is a standardized streamlined curriculum, that although useful and logical in certain ways, tends to leave a lot of musical gaps in what it covers, and is also not nearly as engaging for a student as it could be. I believe I stand out through my experience with formal training combined with many other types of gigging scenarios, and the ways that I can bring what I've learned through all those experiences into my teaching. I also feel I have much more flexibility in what and how I teach to be geared toward each individual and what he/she is striving for.
I get straight into what most guitar players want to accomplish. I know the feeling of being a beginner and wanting to learn the secrets of mastering guitar. I also go with the skill level of the student's individual person.
I am the only Bass teacher that is going to focus on HOW you think and approach what you learn. This will accelerate the learning process and make it more enjoyable as well.
People have fun learning to play the bass guitar.
