Loralyn is a wonderful teacher. I started my five year old son's piano lessons with her several months ago. I found her to be be such an excellent teacher that I decided to start taking lessons too! She's very good at encouraging progress and keeping everything positive, and adapts each lesson to the specific needs of the student. We couldn't be happier.

Piano lessons with Ms. Suzanne were amazing! She helped me stay organized and focused without being too strict of difficult with the practice planner and metronome policing. The best thing about taking lessons with Ms. Suzanne is that she always finds pieces that I enjoy, helping em stay motivated and excited about piano for years! Additionally, she teaches all the theory and knowledge required to compose original songs, and will work with students of all ages to put together a piece that they have created from the ground up. Taking lessons with her was one of the highlights of growing up, and has inspired me to keep playing long into the future! Hands down, the best way to learn piano in the state! -Daniel Washington, Aeronautics and astronautics B.S. Candidate

Valerie is a warm and friendly piano instructor. My son took to her teaching style immediately and did not display his normal shyness. He was so exited by the experience of his first lesson, that he immediately wanted to practice when we got home. Thanks Val!

My piano lessons began on December 16, 2016 when I was 58 years old. I had never played a musical instrument in my life and took a leap of faith in this new endeavor. I am completely satisfied with my learning experience. In fact, I feel so fortunate to have met Joyce Hamilton. I was looking for a professional piano teacher who was educated and polished, not simply taking on a hobby. I am pleased with Joyce because she has high standards for me no matter what. I never feel intimidated by her and I always feel comfortable being with her. What I find most wonderful about my piano lessons is that I am not rushed; Joyce is not only about goal setting but also about the progress in the moment. This aspect is far more important to me at this time in my life. Joyce has students of all ages; in fact, my 14 year-old granddaughter just began taking piano lessons from her. One can see crayons and rewards in her studio for the little ones and when I am taking a lesson I record her playing a piece on my smartphone so I may hear the rhythm and see her fingerings during the week when I practice. The most important teaching characteristic that I value from Joyce is her integrity. I want a teacher that is honest with me about my playing. I want to hear the truth about all aspects of my piano playing...positive and negative. Yet she is always kind and supportive when I miss the mark. The reason that I am still learning to play the piano a year later is because of my teacher...because of Joyce. Bernadette

I teach basic African, ballet, and flamenco. I am the only Moorish style belly dance instructor in the area. I am skilled in samba and salsa. I am performance ready! I am the last student of the great Katherine Dunham. If you require grace, skill, and theatrical ability, I am your best bet in this area. I have 20+ years of experience, traveled all over the US, and very good with beginners and children. I have ballroom training and can get that wedding or party started. Ask about the twerk/wobble, I have that down, and can teach it too. I am also a personal trainer. Note to artists: Are you looking for a model? I have been a successful subject for portraiture for years. I will bring diversity to your work; unusual. Note to musicians: I have a foot in both fields. I will expand your musicality via corporal association. I am holistically trained.

My daughter had piano in 3rd-5th grade. She has some beginner books. She would really take off if you could quickly teach her one of her current songs. I will buy the sheet music and all the books as long as they are available locally.
