I want to say that I worked at several bakeries in the past and this is probably why my expectations for my first baby shower cake were so high but my overall experience was a 3/5 while working with this pro. I hired Cleva to create a fondant cake and a few treats for my first baby shower. Although I saw some of her work ahead of time on social media, the final product of the cake was not up to par. I had a fondant cake with a bit of designs and it ended up being a bit expensive. And for what I paid I had high expectations which were not met. The cake flavor/taste was a 10 out of a 10 hands down. I got a custom flavor of pink velvet with hazelnut filling on the top tier and pink velvet with cream cheese frosting on the bottom tier. The presentation and appearance was a 4 out of 10. She promised to deliver the cake at an early time and ended up delivering it much later. And when it finally arrived it was very lumpy and uneven and it was melting. I will add photos for reference. The other small treats that I ordered looked fine. I got chocolate covered strawberries and chocolate dipped pretzels. Everyone at the baby shower devoured them before I got to taste any so that tells you how good it was. Im glad I had custom cookies made from elsewhere because these added a distraction from the cake. I do appreciate Cleva for coming to a resolution with me about the final look of the cake so overall I would recommend to a friend for a simpler cake design.
