I would highly recommend Dave Robles for guitar lessons. He taught two of my daughters, from age 6 to age 12. He is both a professional educator and musician. He builds a rapport with the kids, and keeps them interested by letting them have input into the kind of music they're learning. He is reliable and organized, and provided a tabbed binder with sections for notes, theory and music. I recommended Dave to the after school enrichment program at our elementary school because he did such a good job teaching my girls, and I would highly recommend him for all ages.

Guitar lessons can be boring, but not with Steve. Steve's guitar playing its Eddie Van Halen's level and best of all is that he is very humble and a funny teacher. He will take his time to explain you note by note on the entire fretboard. I always have fun learning new scales, arpeggios, triads etc. with Steve. You will actually get exited every time a guitar lesson with him is coming up. A guitar instructor that actually knows how to play pretty much anything on guitar, but if you are into Rock, Classic Rock, Hard Rock, Metal, Jazz and Jazz Fusion, you should definitely take guitar lessons with Steve. - Winston Beast Master (Khiazma band)

Tommy has been an amazing guitar, bass, and audio engineering teacher. Recently, we've been working together on some college auditions involving jazz bass, which I knew little of in terms of techniques and terminology. With Tommy's help, I've learned what would have taken me forever, and I feel a lot better about the audition process.

I played guitar in high school but hadn't really played in years. Niki reminded me of what I knew and taught me to read the music and tabs. I wasn't looking for regular lessons and she had no problems working with my schedule. I highly recommend Rhythmz, Inc!

My wife and I hired James to play guitar for the processional and recessional of our wedding ceremony. We had very specific plans for the songs and arrangements we wanted to hear, and James was able to accommodate by learning and tweaking them in a very short amount of time. He communicated with us frequently throughout the process and sent us videos to make sure we were happy with the results. On the day of the wedding, he arrived on time and with the necessary equipment, and set things up with the coordinator/officiant so that we didn't have to worry about anything ourselves. And, of course, he played the songs exactly as we'd hoped, helping to make our ceremony a perfect and memorable one. James, I'm glad you found my listing here, and thanks for everything!

I have been taking lessons with Christina for over a year now and I can't believe the difference in not only my voice, but my confidence! Because of my training, I have been cast in such roles as the Stepmother in "Into the Woods", Madame Thernadier in "Les Miserables", Woman in "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change" and Mayor Matilda Hyde in "All Shook Up" to name a few. My daughter has also been taking lessons and as a result was cast as Twin 1 in "Peter Pan" at a 1700 seat theatre! I never knew how to use the different parts of my voice. Christina helped the different parts of my voice come together as one instrument and helped me create the sound that is uniquely mine. I can't thank her enough!

About

Music is my passion not my job. Being able to share the gifts and talents that God has given me is a great reward.

About

Students of every level are accepted. I teach piano, synthesizer, or general music theory for other instruments.

About

I understand that it can be difficult for students to learn a new instrument because of a number of different factors. Part of it is not finding time to pick up and practice your instrument. Each lesson will be tailored to what the STUDENT wants first and foremost. If you/your child wants to learn how to play jazz? I'll taylor the lessons to jazz. If you/your child wants to learn Taylor Swift songs? We'll focus on Taylor Swift songs. But each lesson will be designed to expand and enhance you/your child's understanding of the guitar while learning what it is they want to know.

About

If you want to learn basic guitar, I will do my best to teach you and make you feel good about the way that you want to learn and play.

About

I've been teaching guitar for seven years to students of all ages, skill levels and backgrounds. I teach technique, songs, theory, chords, note reading, songwriting, soloing and everything else related to the guitar. I normally charge $35/hour, but may charge more if I have to travel a significant distance, or sometimes charge less if you have to travel a long distance. I also have been tutoring high school students in earth science for three years. I will be graduating this May with a BS in Geology and Environmental Science from SUNY New Paltz. I have 4.5 years of experience working with teens as a youth counselor and a lot of experience tutoring earth science both to college students and high school students. I offer the first lesson for free for either of my services, so you can make sure you are satisfied with the lessons before having to spend your money. Feel free to email me with any questions.
