About

Michelle is great with kids. Our 7-year old daughter loves her piano lessons and always looks forward to them. More important, we can hear that she is really learning and making great progress. Two of her school friends have started lessons with Michelle after we recommended her.

About

I am a musician and composer living in Brooklyn and teaching private piano lessons in New York City. I bring to lessons a solid and expansive education in music performance, theory, and composition in different styles, as well as the ability to explain and display the necessary skills in a variety of ways for a diversity of learning styles. I teach an aggressive curriculum, but one that is tailored to the student's personal strengths and weaknesses, and I always remain gentle and patient while guiding my students through the rewarding process of learning to create music. I have been playing the piano for 20 years, studying music performance, theory, and history at Concord Academy, The Wells College Program for the Arts in Paris, and Sarah Lawrence College, where I also studied electronic music, ethnomusicology, composition, and conducting. I am currently pursuing a Master of Music degree in composition at Brooklyn College Conservatory. Please feel free to contact me at any time either via email or phone with any questions.

About

My kids always enjoyed their piano lessons with you and actually practiced without me having to threaten them! Thanks to you, they both still play. Adam plays for the sheer enjoyment of it. He has a keyboard in his room in Virginia (he's still in the Navy) and puts on his headphones and plays! Thanks, Jonathan! Besides being a fantastic musician, you know how to inspire and teach. About

My daughter and son have been taking lessons from Sara for only a few weeks. They are both having a great experience! "Sara is fun!" they would say. They had just enough time to prepare for the holiday concert, which was a great success for them, and also enjoyed the personalized cards and gifts from her. Sara is very kind, caring and her passion for music and teaching goes beyond the studio time. She is easily reachable, organized and willing to help out. I would highly recommend her!

About

I offer classical piano lessons in Queens, for all levels and ages. I am a French piano teacher with more than 30 years of experience. I have been a concert pianist and teacher for 30 years in conservatory in France. I am also a former Music Chamber teacher in "Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris/Alfred Cortot" (that is the equivalent of Julliard School of Arts in NY for Paris). I am available too as an accompanist for singers and choirs (Chef de Chant) and for concerts as a soloist or in chamber music.

About

I have trained through Trinity College, London, and the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, as well as now getting my Master's degree in Music at Hunter College, New York. I'm flexible with lesson times: 30-, 45-, or 60-minute lessons. In my lessons you will work on fun stuff (the pieces you like and want to play) and also the exercises that will improve your technique and help you play better (kind of a "workout"). It really helps your playing overall to work on technique but I promise to not make it too boring! Many clients also ask if I can help them to rent or buy a violin or keyboard. I can definitely help with that and have done so for many clients already.

About

We are a duo who teaches music for instruments from piano, voice, guitar, and oboe and composition lessons. The duo consist of Crystal, who teaches both piano and voice, and Seann, who teaches piano, guitar, oboe, and composition. While we have our own curriculum of teaching, we also work with your own musical goals and needs. We come from very well studied performance backgrounds as we each have a Master's degrees from New York University. Our foundation is classical, but we are very well versed in other genres of music from jazz, world, rock, and/or pop styles as well. We strive to make the personal connection and needs for each of our students.

About

From my experience with teaching cello, I find that all the kids just love me! They like my energy and style. I am strict but fun with a very open heart. I inspire them even beyond playing music to their own lives. Actually, this also applies to some adults :) Outside of work, I have many hobbies and talents. I speak Mandarin, Taiwanese and English. I am also an amateur ballroom dancer. I practice meditation for mind-body awareness. I believe that learning music reflects everything about the student: their family, personality, and even something deeper inside... I like be rewarded by my students' growth, the happiness from their face and their achievements. I especially like helping my students become more mature and confident through learning music.
