Canine Coach is wonderful. His knowledge about my dog just from the way I described him over the phone was extremely impressive, to say the least. It got even better when he arrived at my house! He taught me things about my dog I would have never known regarding his behavior and just about dogs in general. He sat down with my roommate and I and addressed all of our concerns, responding with both recommendations and pure knowledge. In addition, his way with my dog was unbelievable. My dog is an adult shelter dog who has displayed aggresive behavior in the short time I have had him and has already improved after my session with Canine Coach (it has not even been a full 24 hours since our session!). He taught me how to properly handle my dog with certainty and confidence and how to approach situations that a dog with a rough past would find threatening. I HIGHLY recommend using Canine Coach for any and all of dog related training and/or behavioral issues!

About

I work with dogs of all ages that fall under a broad spectrum of abilities, behavioral problems and disorders and just the average house dog too. Dogs live in a human world. Training is essential to help them understand what we expect, and it strengthens the bond between you and your best friend. "Reading" a dog and knowing what the canine is "saying" does not come naturally. It's a skill we must learn. For example, we may think that a wagging tail signals happiness or love, but it usually means a dog is just excited. Effective training means that you learn to understand your dog. Our training includes frequent discussions of canine behavior and body language to help you and your dog build a happy and trusting relationship. Just like wild dogs, our domestic pets are pack animals, and they need to know who is in charge. We use techniques that help you establish leadership, the first step to a less stressful relationship for you and your dog. For dogs with behavior issues, training can help you regain and maintain pack leadership. Understanding canine behavior and body language is essential for effective training. What your dog is saying is clear, and that's where the confusion lies. We tend to project human emotions onto our dogs. When Spot looks up at you with those big, soulful eyes, it's hard to think anything but "he loves me." In dog terms; however, "respect" would be a better description. Why is training necessary? When Spot is a puppy, he's cute when he jumps up, but when Spot grows up and continues these kinds of unwanted behaviors, he is quickly banished to the backyard or shipped off to a shelter. Lack of training is the main reason why dogs are euthanized in the United States. A domestic dog views his owner and family as his pack. It is stressful for dogs to be unsure of who is in charge. Training alleviates this by reassuring your dog that you are the leader. It is essential to maintain pack order throughout your dog's life. Many people unwittingly send a mixed message that the dog is in charge. When we ascribe human emotions to our pets, it makes it difficult for your dog to view you as the leader. For example, your dog is not mad at you when you don't let him jump on the sofa or beg food at the table. Training will help you earn your dog's trust and respect. Along the way, you will develop a holistic understanding of dogs. We provide the following services: * Board and Train 4-week stay- for dogs with serious issues or puppy's around 16 week,s dogs may need to stay past 4 weeks. About

What do you do when you love your dog, but don't love living with him/her? Well, you can do what I did and call, Tom, The Dog Tamer. My dog was impulsive, non-compliant, and non-responsive to the boundaries of authority. Hiring Tom embarked positive change in my dog and my life. Tom is able to come in and apply his comprehensive understanding of behavior modification to train canine behavior and response. But, what truly makes Tom stand out is his enpowering natural and innate connection with dogs. His gift with dogs is special. Trusting your dog with Tom will no doubt bring the individualized results you are seeking to bring balance to your home and dog.

About

We were fostering a dog when Evelynn was recommended. We live in Ohio and she lives in New York. We messaged through Facebook and talked directly on the phone. She helped us with aggression (other animals, toys/bones/food,), leash training, socializing (people/dogs), and general behavior for rescue dogs. She was available to us anytime she was free. We talked/messaged frequently and for long lengths of time. Her expertise with dogs, especially rescue dogs is immense. Her patience with us was great. She explained all the techniques in very plain language. She made sure we understood and answered our questions with ease and clarity. We would highly recommend Evelynn. She made us feel comfortable and competent. Her manner and knowledge was kind, gentle, and thorough. Even though we lived miles apart, she was able to discuss issues, discern our concerns, and clearly articulate the techniques to utilize. She checked up on us frequently to help if needed and get updates on our progress. We consider her a partner and a friend. We would use her services again without hesitation.

Leslie is a truly fantastic, professional dog trainer. After some time with dealing with or ignoring my dog's problems it became too much for me and I decided I needed some help. Leslie worked with me not only to train my dog but show me how to train her and show me the way she thinks. Classes were always informative and fun and I feel like I can say I have a better understanding of my dog overall. I am already beginning to see a change with my dog and I couldn't be happier. Thanks again, Leslie!
