I am currently training for the tough mudder, but was also looking for a new workout. I have been doing Insanity for 4 months now and p90x for a few years. These workouts have become monotonous so I threw Dewaynes bootcamp in the mix. I find Dewaynes training technique challenging , motivating and rewarding. He is attentive and pushes you. I understand you only get out what you put in and as a result I am motivated to drive through the pain and make the workout as beneficial as possible. The Intense interval training with elevated heart rate will assure results for anyone willing to confront physical challenge presented in his classes.
If you are someone who doesnt like training with a group of people or in a public space, and dont have a gym at home, RJ can find a way to make the training as convenient to you as possible. I wanted to loose a little bit of weight, get toned and get back in shape, and I already feel the results. I sleep better, and I feel more positive. She puts a lot of attention on eating habits, exercising steps to practice between sessions, will go over all your eating habits and change them slightly to fit the program's needs as well as yours. She will also share a recipe or two if you need help figuring out your diet. :) RJ has a very pleasant personality and she makes one-hour exercise seem like 15 min. Overall, she is a great personal trainer.
My husband and I have been training with Rob for the past few months. My husband who was very skeptical of having a personal trainer at first now loves our training sessions with Rob. He does an amazing job working with us both in our sessions, and teaching us workouts we can also do on our own time. I know that we would never have achieved the level of fitness and wellness without his personal attention given in our training sessions. Rob is always very encouraging and has a vast knowledge of his profession. I would recommend Rob in a heartbeat if you are looking for great personal trainer. I aim to continue to train and maintain a good level of fitness with his help for a long time to come.
Working with Kathy is awesome- I do see myself working with her for a long time. Love her coaching and encouragement as well. Kathy, trianing is all about proper form and no injury! And that is key for proper weight-lifing!!! One can get awesome training without the overly soreness- muscles are worked without the extreme shred. Love it! Great workout and great coach. I started training with Maryellen in my home about 9 months ago.I enjoyed training with her so much , that eventually my daughter joined me as well. If you are serious about working out,Maryellen is the perfect person for the job! She is always on time, very thorough and pays attention to every detail of my workout. She knows when and how hard to push me- always striving to get me to the next level. I highly recommend Maryellen to anyone who wants to get in shape and feel good about themselves. - I am glad i found her!
My experience with James has been great. He is always on time and keeps his client updated about his schedule. James knows how to challenge a person's limit and at the same time keep the training fun and enjoyable. I have worked with a few other trainers before, late to appointment, cancellation with short notice and even no show are always the biggest headache. James is the best by far. His fee structure is also very reasonable for someone who travels to you to train you! Thanks James!
Jordan is seriously amazing! I have always been kind of skeptical about personal training because I always thought it was for the "meat head" guys or the elderly but I took a risk because 1) I wanted to improve my body/health and 2) because Jordan seemed super cool when we talked before the consultation. Also, he's gay-friendly. I tell you, I'm a hand full to put up with and this straight ally seriously doesn't judge or make me feel uncomfortable (which is amazing). As a gay man, many of us worry about the chemistry/vibe of interactions with our heterosexual counterparts whether it's at the barbershop, gym or bar but, there's no worry when training with this guy! I mean he's not gonna sing "I'm coming out" with you but he'll definitely provide many laughs! As far as working out is concerned, his workouts will kick your ass! He's very observant to see how far you can go and will encourage you to go further. I highly recommend him whether you're gay, straight, black or white, crazy or sane :-) I immediately booked a package with him after our 1st sesssion because I enjoying working out with him! But I have to say, as much as I rave about him, he did tell me to consider weight watchers and I almost hit him with my shoe haha. But I'm sure it probably it would be smart choice but I refuse to count points or calories haha. Book him are my final words for this review:-)
I don't even know where to begin when I talk about Wayne. I belonged to a small franchise gym where I was looking to get motivated and "back into shape". I watched all the trainers for months before I realized Wayne was the only one who knew how to truly help his clients and take them to the next level. I finally signed up for training sessions and then my life changed. I thought I was in decent shape well that all changed after my first session with Wayne. He tought me that fitness isn't an overnight thing it's a life long journey and you have to be willing to make life changes to reach the goals you've set forth. I use to think I wanted to be skinny. Now after years of being with Wayne I am stronger than ever and my mind set isn't about being skinny it's about being fit. I do not stand for "trainers" and these gyms who give me the same work out that they give a 70 year old who has TOTALLY different goals than I do. Wayne has set such a high standard with everything for me. I ate crap for years and couldn't understand why I wasn't seeing results wasn't till I started working out with Wayne that I cleaned my diet up. If you are looking for a trainer to discuss your petty problems in life and lift 5lbs weights forever this is not your guy. If you are looking for a no BS I'm going to help you in life this is your guy! He truly is the best.
Ed is a master of physiology and nutrition. He understands how the body works and needs to be fueled in order to stay fit. Each training session with Ed is different from the next and extremely valuable. Overall, he is passionate what he does and the results show!
I initially trained with Chris when I was getting back into training. As an Exercise Science graduate, I stubbornly assumed I knew enough to put myself through a personalized program. I did have substantial exercise knowledge, but I had absolutely no motivation. So I appreciated Chris for his constant efforts to keep me engaged and motivated. What he prescribed for me was realistic and reachable. Never was there a bad work out, in fact they were quite therapeutic. Chris understands this is a lifestyle change that you take on slowly but confidently. Knowing each week you'll see progress in all areas of your fitness. I'd recommend him to anyone.
Anna is a tiny package of huge motivation! She's approachable and encouraging while still being a tough trainer. Being a dancer means she's very in tune with form and posture, which ensures your muscles are worked correctly and injury is prevented. I worked with Anna to prepare for my 3rd marathon and have a history of IT band issues. She designed workouts to strengthen my weak areas while preparing my whole body for those grueling training runs. Anna's awesome training has helped me run injury-free and break 4 hours in the marathon -- a feat I couldn't have done without her!
Excellent trainer and very kind person. Very reliable but also flexible when required. Focuses on what you want to improve/work on and always designs new, interesting training routines to ensure that training does not get boring. Referred him to friends including my sister who has trained for many years with several personal trainers and all were super happy with Muhaimin. Carmen is a fantastic trainer. I recently started training with her and I can already see how my strength is increasing. She is so knowledgable about the body and she caters to your specific needs regardless of your weight, size and weaknesses. She always incorporates fun and strengthening exercises and constantly motivates you when you feel like giving up. She is always punctual, considerate and such a joy to work out with in the early mornings.
What I like about Rita is that she is a hard working trainer and inspires and pushes me to be the same when it comes to working out. While she is focused on safety, she also encourages to see maximum results. Even after we became friendly, I had no doubt that she will always be my pushy 😊trainer not a coddling friend during the hour of training. I was right, she has never disappointed me.
Coach Waugh have helped me in every avenue of track and field,these area include; strength and conditioning, speed work and endurance training. Because of coach Waugh knowledge and his craft for the sport of track and field I was able to garned four All American title in division one NCAA. George wemt above and beyond. After being sidelined with an IT band injury in the middle of training for a marathon, George assured me that I would be back up and running in no time, with the proper care. He spent nearly an hour working with me on purely foam rolling, and then spent the time to walk through strength exercises to prevent further or recurring injury. He even helped establish what foods would help in my training, both during recovery and during the training itself. I provide the highest recommendation for George!
My name is Antonio Graziano, and I’ve been training at Stefan’s gym for a few years, and they have been the best few years of training I have ever had. A few years back I was on a quest to become a Law Enforcement officer, and had taken many exams. I scored well but when it came to the physical testing I fell short a few times. On two separate physical exams I failed the 1 ½ mile run. I was crushed and with my recent failures on my mind I began looking for a trainer, and this is when I found my home at the well-known Evolution Fitness Gym (now known as DISCIPLINE). On day 1 of training with Stefan I explained to him what had just happened to me and went on to say how I would be taking another physical exam in the months to come. Ultimately, I told him I was training to become a law enforcement officer, and that I needed his help. Stefan looked at me and he said “you failed twice, that will never happen again.” From that day on we trained harder and harder everyday beginning the transformation that would hopefully land me where I wanted to be. Stefan had something new for me every single day, and I never knew walking in whether I would be doing push-ups, or flying 360 inverted Michael Jackson donkey kick burpees… but never the less I did everything I possibly could to make sure I finished whatever task he set for me. Stefan never let me give up and always made sure I finished whatever workout he created no matter how tough. After many months of training I took my physical examination for the Police, and not only did I pass it, but I crushed it and got accepted into the Police Academy. Knowing I only had a month or so left with Stefan we kicked it up a few more notches and went to work. When the time finally came to head off to the academy I was walking away fully transformed and ready to go. At this moment in time I am at the tail end of my academy and almost ready to hit the streets. I can honestly say that I would not be where I am today without Stefan. -Antonio "HAMMER" Graziano
