I am currently training for the tough mudder, but was also looking for a new workout. I have been doing Insanity for 4 months now and p90x for a few years. These workouts have become monotonous so I threw Dewaynes bootcamp in the mix. I find Dewaynes training technique challenging , motivating and rewarding. He is attentive and pushes you. I understand you only get out what you put in and as a result I am motivated to drive through the pain and make the workout as beneficial as possible. The Intense interval training with elevated heart rate will assure results for anyone willing to confront physical challenge presented in his classes.
If you are someone who doesnt like training with a group of people or in a public space, and dont have a gym at home, RJ can find a way to make the training as convenient to you as possible. I wanted to loose a little bit of weight, get toned and get back in shape, and I already feel the results. I sleep better, and I feel more positive. She puts a lot of attention on eating habits, exercising steps to practice between sessions, will go over all your eating habits and change them slightly to fit the program's needs as well as yours. She will also share a recipe or two if you need help figuring out your diet. :) RJ has a very pleasant personality and she makes one-hour exercise seem like 15 min. Overall, she is a great personal trainer.
Waking up at 6am is difficult and being energized is even more challenging. But Peter is able to keep me focused, engaged and enthusiastic with my 6am workouts and I leave feeling great and ready to tackle the day. He has listened to my workout goals and developed a personalized workout plan for me. I feel like I am working out more effectively than ever before and I can't wait to see the results (I am only a week in). I was impressed the first session when he said that it was a better use of his and my time if I did my cardio warm-up before he arrived so that I wasn't paying him to watch me run on a treadmill - I feel like that showed he respected that I was paying for training and he wanted to make sure I got my money's worth. Peter has also given me great advice about nutrition and workouts outside of my training sessions with him. I feel like he knows his stuff and will ensure I don't injure myself or strain anything while at the same time pushing myself beyond what I think I can do. I feel great and I'm very satisfied so far and would recommend him as a trainer to anyone.
I started training with Maryellen in my home about 9 months ago.I enjoyed training with her so much , that eventually my daughter joined me as well. If you are serious about working out,Maryellen is the perfect person for the job! She is always on time, very thorough and pays attention to every detail of my workout. She knows when and how hard to push me- always striving to get me to the next level. I highly recommend Maryellen to anyone who wants to get in shape and feel good about themselves. - I am glad i found her!
Jordan is seriously amazing! I have always been kind of skeptical about personal training because I always thought it was for the "meat head" guys or the elderly but I took a risk because 1) I wanted to improve my body/health and 2) because Jordan seemed super cool when we talked before the consultation. Also, he's gay-friendly. I tell you, I'm a hand full to put up with and this straight ally seriously doesn't judge or make me feel uncomfortable (which is amazing). As a gay man, many of us worry about the chemistry/vibe of interactions with our heterosexual counterparts whether it's at the barbershop, gym or bar but, there's no worry when training with this guy! I mean he's not gonna sing "I'm coming out" with you but he'll definitely provide many laughs! As far as working out is concerned, his workouts will kick your ass! He's very observant to see how far you can go and will encourage you to go further. I highly recommend him whether you're gay, straight, black or white, crazy or sane :-) I immediately booked a package with him after our 1st sesssion because I enjoying working out with him! But I have to say, as much as I rave about him, he did tell me to consider weight watchers and I almost hit him with my shoe haha. But I'm sure it probably it would be smart choice but I refuse to count points or calories haha. Book him are my final words for this review:-)
Working with Kathy is awesome- I do see myself working with her for a long time. Love her coaching and encouragement as well. Kathy, trianing is all about proper form and no injury! And that is key for proper weight-lifing!!! One can get awesome training without the overly soreness- muscles are worked without the extreme shred. Love it! Great workout and great coach. Anna is a tiny package of huge motivation! She's approachable and encouraging while still being a tough trainer. Being a dancer means she's very in tune with form and posture, which ensures your muscles are worked correctly and injury is prevented. I worked with Anna to prepare for my 3rd marathon and have a history of IT band issues. She designed workouts to strengthen my weak areas while preparing my whole body for those grueling training runs. Anna's awesome training has helped me run injury-free and break 4 hours in the marathon -- a feat I couldn't have done without her!
My husband and I have been training with Rob for the past few months. My husband who was very skeptical of having a personal trainer at first now loves our training sessions with Rob. He does an amazing job working with us both in our sessions, and teaching us workouts we can also do on our own time. I know that we would never have achieved the level of fitness and wellness without his personal attention given in our training sessions. Rob is always very encouraging and has a vast knowledge of his profession. I would recommend Rob in a heartbeat if you are looking for great personal trainer. I initially trained with Chris when I was getting back into training. As an Exercise Science graduate, I stubbornly assumed I knew enough to put myself through a personalized program. I did have substantial exercise knowledge, but I had absolutely no motivation. So I appreciated Chris for his constant efforts to keep me engaged and motivated. What he prescribed for me was realistic and reachable. Never was there a bad work out, in fact they were quite therapeutic. Chris understands this is a lifestyle change that you take on slowly but confidently. Knowing each week you'll see progress in all areas of your fitness. I'd recommend him to anyone.
I worked with Brad over the course of a year. I have to say, thanks to him, I was in the best shape of my life. Not only is he a great trainer but is understanding to the unique needs of each client. I was in my 40's when I started with Brad and was very nervous about starting this training process. He couldn't have been more understanding and compassionate. He taught me so much. GeneWorks = Gene works!! Gene is AMAZING! It's rare to find fitness professionals who are passionate about what they do and at the same time actually care about their clients' overall well-being. Gene has been my trainer and my life coach for the past 3 years and I couldn't have asked for a better professional. I am a law enforcemnet officer and although I am active in my field, I put on unnessary weight some years back but since training with him I have lost excess body fat and gained muscle mass, I am now eating well based on his recommendaions and feel like I did when I was in my 20s (I'm now in my 30s). George wemt above and beyond. After being sidelined with an IT band injury in the middle of training for a marathon, George assured me that I would be back up and running in no time, with the proper care. He spent nearly an hour working with me on purely foam rolling, and then spent the time to walk through strength exercises to prevent further or recurring injury. He even helped establish what foods would help in my training, both during recovery and during the training itself. I provide the highest recommendation for George!
Taking classes at my local gym 6 days a week (sometimes twice a day) played an integral part in my dramatic weight loss of over 100 lbs, and I continue to rely on these classes to maintain my weight loss. However, after losing all the weight, I was left with flabby, albeit slim, arms that I wasn't exactly proud to show off! Ive been working out on and off for 20 years, Ive tried every kind of work out and diet, and have run into a wall because trainers or myself have tried to do to much in too little time or not appropriately. Gary took the time to pace things out and make sure that Im ready physically and mentally to go to the next level and most importantly to make sure I'm successful with my goals. Not only is Gary a great guy but he is always paying attention to details making sure you do things right and get out that extra REP!. I have lost over 40lbs over last 5 months and have gained muscle and I feel great. I highly recommend Gary to anyone, who really is ready, to get in shape, feel good, and be healthy. When I started I was still recovering from a car accident that left me with permanent damage in my spine. John is very knowledgeable and quickly put me at ease with his care and patience in building my strength and working with me through setbacks. He is intuitive and passionate about fitness and it shows, not just in his own chiseled physique but in the way he tailors his workouts to suit my specific needs. I've really progressed with John's training. He knows when to push and when to push a little less. He is genuine and funny and super smart to boot!
I spent a summer exercising with Amanda. We met a couple of times a week. Every time we met she had a plan for the day. I would say that I am pretty fit. I am not the strongest person, but I have pretty good endurance. That being said, Amanda's workouts pushed me to my absolute limits (in the best way possible!). She introduced me to burpee ladders (where you add a repetition of a burpee to every set you complete) and many other forms of exercise. She incorporated into her plans so many different forms of exercise (light weight-lifting, running, static exercises, yoga, etc.). She took my likes into consideration and often included them in her plans. She also introduced me to many other forms of exercise, which made exercising with her very exciting and fresh. What was great about Amanda was that she was very knowledgeable. If I came in one day and she had a plan for the day, but I told her that I didn't want to strain or work on a certain part of my body because I was injured (or I told her I wanted to work on a different part of my body), she was very quick to come up with a different plan for the day. And the workouts never felt sloppily thrown together! There was a very impactful progression to her workouts. I also never felt discouraged at the end of her workouts. I always looked forward to exercising with Amanda because she was perfectly balanced in creating an uplifting environment AND pushing me to my absolute limits. I cannot recommend Amanda highly enough! She has a very healthy lifestyle, she is incredibly knowledgeable, and she is MORE than willing to meet you wherever you are in your "walk with exercise" and help you to reach your goals!
I have had the best experience training with Dwayne. He is able to motivate me like no other trainer I’ve ever had before. He always keeps the workouts fun and exciting that I never get bored. Love that he incorporates boxing and self defense into my workouts!!
What can I say about this trainer Offer Cohen. Well that Offer is an hard working trainer who finds and figures out a exercise plan to fit you and your needs with lots of compassion and cares for everyone he comes across and will do anything to figure out what is going on with you and your body personally. If the fit part works for you and then the weight does not come down then he will help you with a meal plan for your eating to become better in recognition of what is good and bad for you. As for me he worked wonders. I lost 71 pounds but in the course of two summers I struggled and gained it back but he and I figured that it might be more than food and exercise it might be chemically wrong with me but I will shortly get blood work done with the doctor and figure out the issues if there is any. In the mean time I still see Offer one on one training as well in his Bootcamp classes at Xceed Fitness with his other instructors and I will be back on track. If you and others have issues with weight or need to get in shape from toning to maintaining or weight loss,Offer Cohen is the person is the one to have and he can clarify and help you out like he has done for me through out the years!!!
