Arati is a fabulous dance instructor! My wife and I wanted to take some professional lessons for our first dance at our wedding and Arati showed us all of the basics we needed to know. We knew we didn't want to do a choreographed dance, but we didn't want to look sloppy either. Arati was fun and casual and didn't make us feel any pressure to perfect the moves. In the end, we felt very comfortable and 'put together' during our first dance! We recommend taking lessons with her, even if you don't have a formal event to practice for. It's great for couples to do as a fun activity together.

Arati is so professional and talented. She's also very flexible to work with and will cater dance lessons to your specific need. We wanted to do our first dance to "Can't Take My Eyes off of You" but were worried about how to dance to this since it is in 4/4 time. We'd also seen some not so great YouTube videos of choreo for this song. Arati immediately found a solution for this that ended up working so well and looked so classy!
She taught us basics of waltz and payed attention to the nuances like posture, frame, and where the pressure points should be between you and your dance partner. She also taught my husband how to lead (and me, how to follow lol). We are so happy we know this now so we can dance together!
Importantly, skills and quality aside, Arati is also a very professional, responsive, and lovely person. We had so much fun learning how to dance with her. Our dance lessons with Arati became more like a fun experience in and of themselves rather than just a process we had to go through to get a first wedding dance together. Highly recommend Arati for any dance lessons you're considering.

To make things more difficult, our song was an aggressive EDM song that had multiple different tempos. I knew I wanted a unique first dance after scouring Youtube for hours watching other couples' wedding videos. We hit it off with Dariusz after a short dance lesson and immediately signed up for 10 lessons. He had a great feel for what we could do and we were able to add layers of difficulty as we went through lessons.
He had great advice about every aspect of our routine, worked around the song we wanted, and designed a great routine for us that really expressed our personality as a couple.

Arati is THE BEST! My husband and I took lessons in preparation for our wedding. She choreographed a first dance for us after we gave her our song choice and from the minute we met her, made us feel comfortable and at ease (we are both beginners). She is funny and friendly and ended up instilling confidence in us that we never knew we had! She was also flexible with her schedule, and always willing to accommodate our needs given how busy our lives were with wedding-planning. I was struggling to find a dance instructor in Manhattan. There are tons of instructors on here but many seem to hide their rates or charge crazy high prices. Also, I noticed many don’t seem to cater to first dances for weddings due to their skill set. I had abandoned the idea of dance lessons for our wedding due to our limited time and interactions on here.
Then, pops up an email from Klaudia. She is highly qualified to teach a variety of styles of dance. Also, her prices are shared upfront and reasonable. She has a flexible schedule and teaches in a centrally located studio in Manhattan. She is very easy to reach so we were able to communicate quickly and arrange our first session.
My fiancé and I showed up completely unsure of what to expect. She put us right at ease, listened to our song before we arrived and got right into her plan for our first dance. She’s extremely clear and takes your level of dance and ideas into consideration. At first we were so awkward dancing together but she consistently encouraged and motivated us. By the end of the session we were laughing and couldn’t wait to schedule our next meeting!
We’ve met with her many times since and are excited to share our dance with our friends and family during our wedding. Klaudia has given my fiancé and I a new hobby we love together. I absolutely recommend Klaudia and am certain you should give her a try if you’re considering lessons!

Olga was awesome to work with - my husband and I wanted to get some lessons for our first dance at our wedding and we're SO happy we found her. We hired Arati to help us (in a very short time frame) choreograph a 2 minute salsa/merengue dance for our upcoming wedding. Arati was great, and we had so much fun at our lessons! She sent us a list of suggested songs which we ended up choosing from, started by teaching us the basics of each dance, and then we moved into the choreography that she came up with. Lexi was amazing to work with for our first dance. We found Lexi online through good reviews and loved her energy and passion for dance! We were in a time crunch and weren't sure if we could get a dance together in 2.5 weeks especially since we are both beginners, but with Lexi's dedication we did it. We chose our song and sent an example of a dance we liked--she immediately sent us a couple of cuts of the song, and came to our first practice with beautiful custom choreography ready. She broke it down and made it simple for us, and we had a blast doing 6 hours of lessons--with that and practice on our own at home we were able to nail it confidently on the big day! It was the absolute highlight of both our wedding and the wedding planning process because it was so fun. We got so many compliments and we will cherish the video forever. If you're on the fence about the time, money, or skill level, we would 100% recommend taking the leap. Lexi is amazing!

We can’t say enough good things about our experience with Levan and Alisa. We came in hoping to learn how to dance only two weeks before our wedding and were convinced it would be impossible. Levan and Alyssa took the challenge with a smile, choreographed an incredible first dance for us and better yet taught it to us and helped us master it in just a few lessons. Two weeks later we walked out confident, happy and excited to show it off to family and friends. We are as beginner as they come and Levan and Alisa made us look like we have it all together. Arati taught my husband and I a dance routine she choreographed specifically for our wedding. She was encouraging, professional, always on time and awesome! My husband has little dance experience, but Arati helped him feel comfortable and confident in performing the routine. She really knows her subject and always delivered a lesson with lots of detail, patience and added humor, which was a bonus!
Also, she was able to work with us around our tight schedules which we really appreciate.
Since I'm a dancer also, I'm always demanding of myself and others, but she gave me valuable advice on how to just relax and enjoy the moment, and how to work through an error should it occur during the live performance on our big day. Arati was thorough in teaching us the footwork, posture, timing, and musical keys necessary to success. In fact, everything went just perfect! We had such a fun time! And we not only gained some amazing dance moves but gained a friend in Arati.
