With Dewayne's boot camp, I've lost weight and tuned my body. He motivates you to keep on going. He does different combinations of exercise which trigger every part of your body. You leave soaked in sweat and with lots of energy. Am happy with my results!

When it comes to personal training, Jess is a natural. He was made for this. He reminds me of my favorite High School phys. education teacher in Brooklyn. I found Maik and team through Thumbtack and was at first skeptical. I've seen a few trainers and they all seemed to get bored quickly and not really care about what i want/need. His whole team is the complete opposite. Along with the awesome weekly training sessions that i see with his teammate Anke, I get routine emails, checking up on my progression and keeping me honest. They aren't just about that one hour session - Maik and team want you to actually succeed in your weight loss/ muscle gain goals. I have a very strict diet and instead of berating me for not eating meat etc., they did research and found ways to incorporate more protein into my diet...on my terms. My goals feel more realistic and attainable then ever before. The GBE class is also really awesome and works muscles i didn't know i had. Its a bit scary walking into a room with a trainer who is all muscle but Mo was attentive, smart and patient. Im only on week 3 but im excited to start seeing those results!
As a fifteen year old kid I was 6 foot 2 249 pounds, I knew I wanted and needed to lose weight, I just did not have the drive to workout and eat right. Then, when I first started training with Mack in weight loss, he gave not only gave me unbelievable results, which were 12 pounds in only 12 sessions, but his passion and energy while training with him gave me the motivation to improve my nutrition. He is always understanding and flexible,and a genuinely fun and incredible person, and I am lucky to be training with him.
My experience with Ms. Antoine was very rewarding as well as very informative. I was enrolled in one of her Boot Camp classes and it was amazing. She helped me to accomplish a lot of small goals with exercise routines modified just for me, it made it so easy to keep up. My motivation grew immensely while continuing on the right path to losing weight and eating right, without wanting to drop out because of the intensity. The aches and pains were well worth it, Dailande is an intelligent and hardworking woman who I would recommend to any and everybody. Although I fell behind due to having a child and a busy work schedule I know I can turn to her and get right back on track. Thank you for all your positivity and the mental kick in the butt to stop being lazy and do those burpees, jumping jacks, wall squats and my not so favorite cat walk.
5 stars for sure....Been to many other boot camp classes & this is by far the best. An excellent workout from a consumate professional. Jonathan's classes offer a variety of exercises that not only challenge the body but the mind as well. He incorporates health, nutrition & lifestyle advice to bring a balanced approach to fitness. He also does a great job of creating a spirit of teamwork among his clients to make you feel like an integral part of the boot camp !!
I've trained with Mike on and off consistently for the past two years. He is an excellent trainer; he is knowledgable about many different kinds of full body work outs (my favorite it the boot camp style stuff) but he is able to customize each session to fit my own personal needs. Highly recommend.
Pros: Mike is flexible (worked with my schedule and drove out to me since I don't have a car), punctual, coherent, and knowledgable (has an understanding of anatomy/physiology etc.). Hes very professional with a positive attitude and is easy-going (if you want a boot camp sergeant who spends most of his time yelling at you, Mike's not your guy). He will definitely spot any weakness you may have and help fix your form so you can get the most out of your workout. Cons: Ok, so not so much a "Mike con" as a "PT con" in general. If youre anything like me, you will be seeing him only a couple of times a week. And though you'll push yourself on those days, it's up to you to stay equally driven on the off days. He works hard, but Mike's not a magic fairy, you can't expect results if you don't put in the work and stay consistent. Hints/tips: Ask about doing a workout at Runyon Canyon. You'll burn calories while enjoying great views of LA. Get ready to shvitz folks, this guy is the real deal!
Karen has been my boot camp instructor at Personal Best in Garwood since Dec. 2009. Karen helped me to get back into shape. I wanted to get back into working out but was having a hard time at the Gym by myself. She provided me with exercises that were appropriate for my body and helped me to loose weight. Each boot camp class is different, which I like a lot! She pushes me to perform at my best, which is what I need. I even continued to attend Karen's bootcamp classes during my two pregnancies, and she helped to modify the exercises for me, plus she was very knowledgable about what I could and couldn't do while pregnant. I've been trying to get rid of my belly for years, but could never get there. Joe changed my life! Not only did I lose my belly, but I have the outer lining of a 6 pack coming in. Jake has been my personal trainer for almost a year now has done an amazing job moving me towards my fitness goals. When I first met Jake, I had been trying to get fit/ gain strength/ lose fat for almost 6 years. I was stuck in an unhealthy cycle of bad eating, low energy levels, and inconsistent exercise regimens. It's been a very long road back to health, but Jake has helped me every step of the way. He excels in: Customized Training: Jake was able to help me customize my training based on my health and body goals. We started by boosting my cardiac health to reach a minimum threshold of fitness for the first few months and then moved on to boot camp training when I got stronger. Most recently, we've started focusing on progressive weight training so I can improve my body definition. Unlike other trainers, I've worked with in the past, our sessions are NOT a walk in the park. They are hard and for someone like me who wanted to see real results, they are exactly what I need. Flexible Schedule: Jake works with my schedule (which can be unpredictable) and is highly flexible in scheduling sessions. We've done sessions M-Sat from 7am all the way to 8pm. Detailed Trainer: Jake is very good at knowing when you still have some juice left in you to push harder and when you don't. He'll push you up to your limit but never beyond it. He pays very close attention to your physical performance during exercises and adjusts the workout accordingly to make sure you're optimizing 100% of your time but never overdoing/ losing posture to the point of hurting yourself. Deep Understanding Of the Body: Jake is also very sensitive and responsive if I've injured myself or am feeling any out-of-the-ordinary discomfort. He is VERY good at creating exercise modifications to target desired muscles groups while minimizing stress on injured areas. Creative and Thoughtful: He's always coming up with new and interesting/ challenging excercises for his clientele so workouts never get boring. Not everyone needs this but I am someone who does because doing the same thing every week kills me. Jake is truly passionate about fitness and body health and it comes through in his work as a personal trainer. I highly recommend him for pretty much anyone at any level of fitness, particularly those like myself, who were starting from scratch and needed a lot of encouragement. I have seen significant changes in my body composition over the past couple of a months by eating healthier diet, weight/ strength training with Jake, and cardio/ resistance training on my own. Could not recommend him more highly!
A few months ago my doctor recommended weight loss and exercise because I was borderline pre-diabetic. My daughter recommended him. He had helped her loose some weight and she enjoyed working with him. Curtis was my trainer and i can tell you he made me work. He was on point with a mix of persuasion and variety of exercise. i achieved my goal without feeling overworked. He is a great trainer and overall a good person. I wish him the best
I had the fortune of using the professional PT sessions from Ajani a short while ago. Must say, he really knows his stuff! Let me start by specifying that I have been working out regularly for the past 10 years. However, lately I had been dealing with so called 'plateau' state and desperately wanted to get over the hump by changing my workout routine and achieve better results for my workouts. Ajani helped me by formulating custom workout sessions that helped me to develop better stamina while achieving higher muscle mass. This was a much needed disruption in my otherwise monotonous workout routine. His valuable suggestions on working around my chronic injuries were quite useful too. I would highly recommend his services to someone looking for better results for their workouts and to achieve their fitness goals. Two thumbs up, indeed!!
Carlos is by far the best trainer I've ever had. He really cared about what my needs were and worked closely with me to help me lose 50 pounds. He not only helped me lose the weight...but he taught me so much and it made me change my way of living. MMF/Chris Pickett is an awesome find in the sea of endless trainers, gyms and boot camp classes out there. Never did I'd stick to any real program, let alone enjoy it and look forward to it each day. MMF has changed that. Chris consistently gives encouragement, sound advice, complete personal attention and a good ass kicking in each class. He's helped me work around my back problem to the point it's better than it's ever been; something I thought would always be a hindrance. It's really exceed my expectations.
Tom has been my trainer both in a boot camp setting and in a one on one setting. He is well versed, knowledgable, and most of all positive. Not only does he ensure you will have a successful workout but he goes the extra step to push you to your limits and show you that you truly can do anything you put your mind to. He's personable and makes the environment comfortable, he also puts all of his passion and energy into his clients and training and it truly comes across in his work!
Mike's one of the best trainers I've worked with. He's motivating, witty and makes boot camp actually fun to do. There's variety in his classes and he'll always push you to the edge of your ability and make you stronger. Two thumbs up for Mike Todd fitness.
I attended my first small group fitness class at Vargus Fitness in February 2012 and haven’t stopped going since. The owner, Mike, is very knowledgable regarding exercising and what you should be doing versus what you should not be doing. I’ve never felt intimidated or uncomfortable while being there but rather strong and confident. The workouts are intense and you ALWAYS feel like you’re getting the workout of your life. You will definitely feel every bone and muscle in your body getting a full workout. The classes and his personal training sessions change on a daily basis and the best part is these classes are universal in that they are appropriate for a beginner in the fitness world or someone who’s been working out for some time. I also really like the motivation the staff provides and they never let you slack off. The staff focuses on every person individually throughout the class and will provide you with guidance/assistance/corrections on any exercises you may find difficult or that you may be doing incorrectly. Additionally, in the 2 years I’ve been attending Vargus Fitness, all of the other clientele I’ve met have been nothing but nice, fun and motivating as well. We push each other to higher limits and enjoy calling each other out if one of us falls short on an exercise. If you’re more interested in the one on one training, there are also personal training classes available. Again, similar to the boot camp classes, the personal training is just as intense and the staff can accommodate your workout to your specific needs.
