Charley has given my teenager guitar lessons for almost 3 years. He started with no experience and is now playing both acoustic and electric guitars. Charley is flexible, really good with children/teens, and has a wealth of music knowledge.

Just awesome! Adam is a very good instructor who is very friendly, polite and kind. I was nervous about starting learning something new (in this case, it's a guitar lesson), Adam made the experience so relaxed and enjoyable!! His approach is very well structured and efficient. I love getting lessons from him!!!

I am a rock/cover lead guitarist, and I will show how to play your most favorite songs. Plus, I will make midi/MP3 tracks for you to practice along too. I will also show you scales and chord progressions. Once you think you are ready, you can play with the band, or even open for the band with your new group.

I teach guitar to students of all ages and ability levels. As a former high-school teacher, I have experience working with different learning styles and abilities. I also cater my teaching to the desires of the student (and often the parents) when they have specific goals in mind. As more and more schools cut music programs, I have found it useful that I have extensive knowledge of music theory, as this allows me to expand beyond a typical guitar instruction and enrich the student's experience with something they might not get elsewhere.

We care so much about the quality of the music education. We don't want to just teach our students songs. We want them to understand how to be a musician.

I wanted to learn to play the guitar for several years but was always concerned about finding the right instructor. But after taking lessons from John, I wish I had done so earlier as he has been great. John tailors the lessons to the type of music I want to learn to play and suggests good techniques to improve my ability to play the instrument. I was amazed at how well I was playing the guitar after just a few lessons. I would highly recommend him!

My 11yo decided he wanted to learn how to play drums after watching a drum solo video. I called a few places during my search and got no response. Stu responded almost instantly. We went in for a trial session and my son was hooked! Drum lessons with Stu are the only "lessons" my son looks forward to. Stu has a great connection with kids and adults alike. My son is learning much faster than I ever expected.

We have used Piano Lessons in Your Home for about 7 years and have been pleased with them. We started with one student and now have three. Over the years we have had three teachers. Each one had their own style and methods, but all were good. It has been nice to not have to travel for lessons, especially when we have had new babies and/or young children. We have also had positive interactions with the main office when needed. They have responded to emails quickly and been willing to work with us on teacher selection. Each teacher prepares their own schedule and coordinates at least one recital or audition per year. All of our students achieved Superior or Superior Plus status at this years Piano Guild Auditions.

About

While there are an unprecedented number of resources, books, and online websites devoted to guitar theory, the real gap that has been hard to bridge by most methods is finding a way to help students without a formal music education understand and appreciate the language of music. According to a recent BBC survey, 50 Million people in the world play the guitar. I look at my concept as an international introduction to the 21st century guitar. The method concentrates on scale structure and the fingering of the instrument rather than a particular song or style. I want to allow the musician to explore the instrument and let their own unique personality come out in the music. I do not want it to be a typical music book but rather to explain and set standards to the approach of the instrument as it exist today.
