Mic did a great job; first assessing my Dads' limitations and goals, then customized an initial workout to begin getting stronger, enhance balance and just be more vital. I had the pleasure of having Jessica as a personal trainer for 5 months. I have never been an athletic person so she had a challenge before her. Jessica improved my physical strength and balance greatly. I am the first to admit I never really enjoyed working out but Jessica made it more enjoyable except when she made me do the rower! In all seriousness though I highly recommend Jessica, she is very knowledgeable and a great motivator. If I had not moved out of state I would still be one of her clients.(show less)

My workouts consist of non-stop movements which burn calories and focus on core-body exercises along with balance and flexibility. I started out as a personal trainer working in a "big box" gym, where clients were constantly shuffled from trainer to trainer pretty much anonymously, and where trainers were given almost no advanced knowledge to prepare for sessions, get to know their clients, or even begin to address the unique reasons why the person they were putting through a generic workout designed on the fly wasn't making progress. Needless to say, I found the whole experience frustrating (and I'm sure my "clients" did too!). When I arrived at Evolution Fitness, a private training gym with a strong focus on the individual, I was able to thrive. Here, I have found tremendous support for my belief that the best investment I can make towards getting my clients the results they want is to take the time to observe them carefully and listen to them fully. That is how I discover their strengths, weaknesses, and limitations in order to design a truly personal fitness program. It is not my job to become my clients' best friend; however, it is absolutely my job to get to know them--and to help them get to know themselves--so that they can break past whatever is holding them back from living in their best body possible. While addressing physical weaknesses is critical, whether it's a weak posterior chain, muscle imbalances, poor posture (or all three or something else entirely), I know that fitness is mostly built outside of the gym. So, I focus on nutrition, sleep, stress, daily movement patterns (like sitting all day at a desk or spending hours commuting around town), and recreational habits as an integral part of helping my clients to achieve their goals. All of this takes time. All of this takes research and meticulous dedication to program creation. All of this is why my services stand out. But, most importantly, all of this is why my clients get results. I enjoy getting to know each client--and the puzzles they each present to me: why can't I lose weight? will I ever be able to do a full push-up? or pull-up? or deep squat? why do I always eat sugar, even when I really, really don't want to? why does my lower back always hurt, even though the doctors say there is nothing really wrong with it? ...and getting to witness their breakthroughs!(show less)

Trisha is simply amazing. I was literally scared to get back into working out...it had been five years since I had set foot in a gym. Trisha's gym offers group classes guided by her and they are amazing (or you can do personal training and if she is as good as she is with a group...you will not go wrong with her or the other trainers at her gym). Every fit level and body type are represented; meaning I felt very comfortable even though I had never actually done a boot camp class before and wasn't exactly "in shape". She is fantastic about pushing you and encouraging you to keep getting better and is committed to achieving whatever goals you set out to achieve. She treats you like family and has done so much for me already that I don't ever want to leave her gym!(show less)

I've been attending Rachelle's boot camp at Eden Park for over a year now and cannot recommend her highly enough. She is friendly, fun, and most of all...effective! Rachelle is an amazing instructor with all levels of fitness and has an great balance of being able to push you to get the most out of your workout and also being sensitive to personal limitations. My Monday through Thursday morning workouts are something I look forward to each day. She puts so much effort into making every workout completely different, which removes the "boredom" factor that I have always experienced with exercise before I started with Rachelle. Rachelle truly cares about getting you healthy. Over the past year, I've definitely lost pounds of fat, gained muscle, and am almost down 2 pant sizes! I recommend her tremendously (either classes or as a personal trainer) if you want to lose weight, tone up or get back into shape and love doing it.(show less)
I take part in Amanda's Bootcamp classes 3 times a week in the morning and they have been awesome. I am a ex football player and used to only train using heavy weights at my own pace.
