I have been attending Amanda's boot camp classes (offered on the west side of Cincinnati) for a little over a year now. There is a reason that I keep coming back for more. I find Amanda to be motivating and knowledgeable about fitness. She offers a great mix of cardio and strength training, and I don't think we've ever done the same routine twice. It sure keeps the body guessing. I have taken friends who first expressed trepidation about attending a boot camp, and they've become regulars as well. It really is for all fitness levels. A great bonus is that Amanda offers the most affordable boot camp I have found. I've only been to the Fit4U Studio once (mostly because of distance from my home), but I found it to be a super clean, friendly, and supportive environment. Who doesn't love swinging those ropes and beating a tire on a Saturday morning? ;) I recommend checking out Amanda for your fitness needs, whether you're looking for personal training or a class experience.

I started working with Kyle in August of 2015. I was 5 months out from having undergone the gastric sleeve to help better control an endocrine disease that I have. I was 325 pounds before surgery and am now 230lbs. By the time I began working with Kyle, I had already lost 40 pounds. The trainer that I was with had to leave which is how I met Kyle. He was new to the gym so I was one of his first clients. Little did we both realize what kind of journey we were beginning. I trained with him 2 days a week for the next 11 months. Each week he would increase the amount of work I would do. One thing I love about working with Kyle is how he would take my personal situation into account and never treat me as just another client. He knew how far to push me and when it was time to step back and reorganize our workouts. He has a way of holding you accountable but not make you feel like a horrible person if you slip up or don't follow through. Having broken my back in 2009, we would run into injuries at times, and he would just revamp the workouts and help me get past the injury. He also helped to show me the proper way to do different exercises to avoid those injuries! I can now Deadlift 245lbs, Squat 155lbs, and Bench 100lbs! I have lost 100lbs since I began my journey in 2015 and just had skin removal surgery from that weight loss. I have gone from lowering my weight to watching weight gain from muscle growth! After I quit training one on one with Kyle he still stayed in contact with me. At anytime I can call or text him to ask about nutrition or making a new move with training. As a former D1 athlete with ample training experience I was reluctant to seek out a personal trainer. While at first, only interested in knowing my body fat percentage, I decided to meet with Kyle to discuss my goals and what I was hoping to accomplish. I was bored with my routine and results. Kyle quickly assessed my capabilities and challenged my previous methods. My goal was to transform body composition while revitalizing my routine. We agreed to a four week trial. Kyle customized a four-week program to include Weights, Cardio, and Nutrition. He also provided useful apps and information regarding nutrition and the management of calories. All of this was available to me in real-time while working out. I followed the program exactly and achieved outstanding results!!! We agreed to another four week cycle. If I disliked a particular lift or needed a change Kyle was able to quickly provide alternatives solutions and modify the program instantly to reach the same desired goals. I can't help to think back from time to time about my life before I had personal trainer. I was an average size woman that could not run a quarter of a mile or do a single pull-up. I tried 3 personal trainers before I was interoduced to Kyle Blandford. Since I had not had any luck with the 3 previous trainers I wasn't holding out much hope for this new guy. I am proud to say after are very first session I tossed out any preconceived notion's I had about personal trainers. I explained to Kyle verious goals I had and gave him a very accurate picture of the kind of shape I was in. Kyle never let me feel that my goals weren't obtainable even if I shared my own doubts out loud during training. Heather was a wonderful Crossfit Level I Trainer at Crossfit Troy when I joined there in 2011. I had just retired from teaching at that time and transferred my membership from Crossfit Heights because it was a farther drive. I felt bad when Heather left to work at another box. I have been a Crossfitter since 2009. I have had many fine coaches, but the only time I met my ideal weight was when Heather was my coach. I'm now 65 years old. I have arthritis in my knees, and am about 20 pounds overweight...but I'm still active thanks in part to the great trainers I have had. I've been working with Chris for about 6 months now. I started out in group classes, then did private sessions and now am really enjoying his Boot Camp sessions. I honestly really hated everything about working out at first. It was a necessary evil and I simply forced myself to buy sessions with a trainer just so I'd have an appointment to get to the gym. Thanks in large part to Chris' encouragement and training style, I have a totally new outlook on working out. I find myself making time to workout, whereas before I'd have sworn there were simply not enough hours in the day. Thanks to his nutritional guidance I have learned how to fuel my workouts and how much in the way of calories / protein I should be eating daily as well as helpful suggestions to 'eat this, not that'. I am down almost 20 lbs in just a few short months! I also had significant knee pain when I started working out and now I sometimes forget which knee is my 'bad' knee. Chris has great knowledge of anatomy and proper form during exercise movements which has helped prevent any new injuries and alleviated pain in my knee. I have worked with other trainers in the past; it always seemed like a waste of time or an exercise in frustration. Chris has never missed a session or been late, and is always pushing me to increase the intensity of my workouts. You can tell he really loves what he does and his enthusiasm has a way of rubbing off on you - even at a 6:00 am Boot Camp! He is definitely not a passive rep counter! You will be challenged. Sometimes I think he cares more about the goals I've set for myself than I do. He is rather stubborn in his pursuit of his clients' fitness goals and despite all my protests and attempts to bargain down the dumbbell's weight or number of reps, I rarely am able to get away with such ploys. I am grateful for his relentless nature as I do feel so much stronger and more energetic in my daily life.

Chris started training me in The beginning of 2014. I weighed 309 lbs. At that point, and wasn't feeling self-confident in general-- and impossibly embarrassed to be at the gym. Chris' encouraging personality and words helped me feel like I deserved to be a part of the family of 'athletes' and people who take care of themselves. He treated me like an athlete from the very beginning, believing in me when I definitely did not believe in myself. The workout plan he wrote for me each week was incredibly detailed and specifically geared to my personal goals. Ferrigno wellness'!!! I first met nick about the time he was starting his life style change, and to see him now...wow ! My exercise was just everyday life and I ate whatever I liked. My wife got into working out and running so I sent her to a 6 week course ($50), yes for 6 weeks, she loved it. I stared eating better and would exercise when I felt like it. I went to a class with her and have been working out ever since. I now attend nick's boot camp, 5 weeks $30....seriously!!! That 6 buck for a hour with personnel trainer, where you going to find that? Exercise tips, eating right, positive encouragement and full support. After a daunting high-risk pregnancy with twins (including 4 months of bed rest and a post-delivery surgery), I was looking for something that was fun and would help me get back into shape. I started taking Tate's kickboxing class in December 2013. I immediately fell in love! I was pretty weak at first (couldn't even do a sit up!), which was highly discouraging for me (I had always been pretty athletic). Tate helped me push through with lots of encouragement. I completely stepped out of my comfort zone and started Muay Thai personal training in August 2015. Since then, I've never looked back! Coach Tate is phenomenal at what he does. He crafts the perfect training sessions...a nice blend of cardio, core, strength, and drilling appropriate technique; his workouts are tough, yet I always feel a sense of accomplishment when finished. There is such a variety of people in all shapes, sizes, ages, and fitness levels and everyone encourages each other. Trisha truly cares about the people and about what she does. It's like a big Fitness Family. The variety of workouts and equipment used is absolutely amazing! I have never done the same series of workouts twice so it is hard to get bored which is huge for me especially at 6:00 a.m.! In just a short time I feel more confident and so much stronger. They have a motto at Cincinnati Fit Body Boot Camp: “We don’t stop when we’re tired; we stop when we’re done.” That's very empowering. I am a third year member of Cincinnati Fit Body Boot Camp--and it has been a life-changing experience for me to have worked out in boot camp thus far. I have managed to keep off some weight (in spite of my undisciplined eating!). My experience has not always been the best when it came to personal trainers and gyms. I have always felt intimidated and awkward in those settings until I met Travis Childs. Travis is very uplifting and down to earth, he makes sure you are comfortable but ensures results with his intense workouts. He is not intimidating, he has a wonderful personality and really listens to your goals and needs. I've been attending Rachelle's boot camp at Eden Park for over a year now and cannot recommend her highly enough. She is friendly, fun, and most of all...effective! Rachelle is an amazing instructor with all levels of fitness and has an great balance of being able to push you to get the most out of your workout and also being sensitive to personal limitations. My Monday through Thursday morning workouts are something I look forward to each day. She puts so much effort into making every workout completely different, which removes the "boredom" factor that I have always experienced with exercise before I started with Rachelle. Rachelle truly cares about getting you healthy. Over the past year, I've definitely lost pounds of fat, gained muscle, and am almost down 2 pant sizes! I recommend her tremendously (either classes or as a personal trainer) if you want to lose weight, tone up or get back into shape and love doing it.
