I am in my 50's taking piano lessons for the first time since I was about 10 years old. I never got very far with my lessons as a kid and so I truly am a beginner in many ways. Linda has been a great teacher and resource for me teaching me things about the piano of which I was completely unaware. She's always patient, positive and encouraging and not only explains the nuances of how to play the piano but also the underlying music theory which turns out to be crucial to playing well (who knew?). Any piano player will tell you that learning piano is a slow and painstaking process but after about 3 months of lessons I can already tell that my sight reading has improved as has my playing and confidence. I highly recommend Linda, she is a patient, encouraging teacher who explains things clearly.

If you want to learn to play the guitar, whether you are a beginner or more advanced and want to improve your skills and knowledge of music theory to become a professional player, then I highly recommend contacting Justin Slusher of Ohio Guitar Pro, Fairborn, OH. He has both a prestigious academic background (graduate of the selective Berklee College of Music, Boston MA.) and professional experience acquired by playing in multiple bands from LA to Atlantic City. As a student, what I appreciate most is his patience to let me learn at my own speed without feeling pressured. He truly loves teaching. He gets as excited for me as I do when I learn a new skill or play a new lead solo piece correctly. I feel free to ask (or re-ask) any question about music theory, get advise regarding equipment, or just to ask for a refresher on a previously taught playing technique. Justin has a remarkably trained ear and can write note-for-note instructions on how to play any song that I show up to my lesson with. He has been my instructor for about 10 years ... I have learned that learning is a never ending process ... it just depends on how good you want to be. Whatever level you are at, i'm confident that Justin Slusher can take your playing to the next level.

John is an excellent teacher with students of piano of all abilities. His patience is admirable and he takes his time with his students. He also asks the students be they young or adults to practice before each meeting to see what improvements have been made. I can't say enough about the superb abilities of this teacher as compared to other piano teachers in the area. You will be fortunate to have Mr. Toedtman accept your child as one of his proteges.

I have played piano for about 10 years. I am 14 now, and I will never stop. If you want to learn piano, this is your teacher. She is a great teacher; she will lead you through difficult places and gives encouragement and advice in every lesson. If (and when) there are times that you want to give up, she will keep you going.

My son takes piano lessons with Daniel, and he thoroughly enjoys them. Daniel is attentive and approachable. Any questions that I have had about the lessons or my son's progress, he has been happy to address and provide insight and advice to help us get the most out of the process. He is flexible and willing to work with us when something comes up to interrupt our schedules. I also trust Daniel's integrity and I appreciate that my son has a wonderful male role-model that is speaking positively into his life.

Nate taught piano to our 5-year-old son for one year, and it was wonderful. Nate is ridiculously reliable and professional - mature beyond his years - but he also knew just how to make a small boy love lessons and learning. My son adored his time with Nate, and looked forward to his lessons, which were fun and interactive. Can't recommend him enough.

About

I began teaching piano lessons while I was in high school. I have a B.A. Degree in Music Education with a major in piano. I have taught students from age four through 82! I have directed a 120-piece award-winning marching band, symphonic band and jazz bands. I have been a church choir director and pianist. I have trained many piano students to perform for The American Guild of Pianists; however, it's not a requirement. My approach to piano lessons is to individualize what parents and students want to learn. There are over 20 beginning piano methods currently. I know some combination of these will make piano lessons fun and rewarding for your family. Call, and let's discuss.
