Great experience so far. Knowledgeable, professional, and excellent with my son. I would recommend anyone looking for lessons for their kids look no further.
Tom gives my son guitar lessons. EXCELLENT!
Buck is a talented and patient guitar instructor. He has provided weekly lessons at a reasonable rate to me for 4 years. My daughter wanted to learn to play so we both now take lessons from him. He is accommodating with changing scheduling and now comes to our location for lessons. He is well versed in many styles, and knows his music and instruments well. He even helps determine guitar parts for my daughter from animation and other non-traditional sources, then teaches her to play them. Highly recommend you take lessons from Buck. Plus he'a a really nice guy too!
I just started taking lessons from Jim...If your looking for a great guitar teacher look no further....He is patient and the way he explains things makes it that much easier....wish I found him years ago..
I have listened to Joe play all kinds of music at many different venus and I always have a good time listening. I like his Caribbean music live and his classical guitar recordings.
I took lessons with Keith for 9 months, and in that time he gave me the foundation I needed to build on the basic skills to play guitar. Keith is very friendly and approachable. He does not force a particular style of playing; rather, he listens to your interests and works with whatever direction you choose. He is a very versatile player with a wealth of knowledge and a solid musical background. I highly recommend him for any level of playing. I came to him as a beginner, and I enjoyed my time with him very much. If you want a teacher who is patient, easy-going, and professional, go with Keith!
As a true beginner, Charlie makes you feel relaxed and comfortable from lesson one. His knowledge of the guitar itself and his teaching techniques are exceptional. His book ( The Expressive Guitarist ) is an awesome step by step learning tool. Charlie also has been a great help to me in purchasing guitars and various equipment. I highly recommend Charlie for lessons, insight on purchasing equipment, guitar setups and repairs.
Bill Hoffman is the finest guitar player and teacher I have ever come across. He knows the guitar inside out, up and down and can play and teach all music styles from rock to country to classical. He is equally capable of teaching beginners as well as those who have played for years but need to get to a higher level. I have recommended him to several aspiring players, and when my own granddaughter wanted to take up guitar, I arranged lessons for her with Bill. I am that sold on his ability to help her achieve her dream.
I took lessons from Jake for several years and I absolutely loved it! He taught me such practical things and offered great advice.
Why my work stands out from others would be because I am very patient. living with a learning disabilities I have learned to view music education from many different angles. That can be helpful when showing concepts and making it easier for the student to understand. I'm also a karaoke host in the evenings. So I use my karaoke tracks for students to sing against. that way I can concentrate on your singing technique and not playing songs on my guitar/ piano. As far as guitar/ piano goes, being a DJ helps me understand the broad spectrum of music to help craft is students style.
I evaluate each student and then build a lesson program that is custom suited to their level of ability and what it is exactly that they wish to learn and get out of this experience.
I give private, one-on-one lessons in what you, as a student want to learn. I will not teach you anything you do not want to learn. I will take lessons at your own pace. I teach all levels and styles to help you learn at your own speed. I won't just keep feeding you nonsense that will get boring after a while. I will give you what you need to get started and enjoy playing and understanding how the guitar works. I will also teach how to maintain your own guitar, so you and your guitar can be as one so to speak.
Patience! Starting to play guitar is a very difficult thing. Coordination is key. I also have over 15 years of live performing under my belt
I teach finger-style guitar featuring country blues as well as ragtime and folk styles. I also teach lead guitar, rock and blues. I also teach banjo, mandolin and uke.
I have been playing guitar since I was 12. I am 24 now and during the duration of that time, I have had various teachers and acquired encyclopedia amounts of information about guitar and teach from out my house the very thing's I've been taught at varying degrees of the guitar players abilities. I have a lot of students who are very new at playing whom have to get the dexterity built up in their fingers and the knowledge of the fret board in the early lessons. I have students who are going to be giving me a run for my money soon! Practice is everything, and most importantly, it's about having fun while learning!
Hello! I am currently a sophomore at the University of Scranton, and I am looking to share my talent and knowledge of the guitar to aspiring/current guitar players around the Scranton area. I have been playing since I was nine years old and love the instrument dearly. I attended the Settlement School of Music in Philadelphia. I'm the lead guitar in several jazz ensembles and attended a music-concentrated high school back in my hometown of Cherry Hill New Jersey where I learned advanced music theory and recording production and performance, and much to the annoyance of people on the campus, I'm outside jamming with friends almost every day. I am a college student so I can only do lessons while school is in session but will make the most of the time I have with you. Whether you are a relatively experienced player or have never struck a power chord, I would love to help develop your knowledge and skill not only on the guitar but also of music theory and appreciation.
