My 14 year old daughter has studied voice with Chloe for the last two years and she loves working with Chloe. Chloe is a patient and exacting teacher who focuses on proper vocal technique in a relaxed friendly manner. Chloe allows my daughter to bring in whatever music she is currently singing and guides her to understand the music and her voice better. Recently, my daughter took first place in a singing contest and will be singing two solos in Carnegie Hall in December - Chloe is a huge part my daughter's success!

This guy knows what he's doing. Not just professional, but also courteous, Marty is the best by far. He has an acutely trained ear and takes your training seriously, but will joke around with you for five minutes to loosen you up when you're nervous. I've been taking piano and voice lessons on a whim and have learned more than I'd expected; after twenty-two years singing in the car, Marty helped me finally find my singing voice in two lessons. I can read music now. He teaches music theory with whatever you're learning to build a greater understanding of what you're doing and music in general.

Katie is a skilled voice and piano teacher. It has been difficult for me to find a voice teacher who actually plays the piano...thank goodness I found Katie! I have been singing for years and I needed a strong vocal coach to help prepare me for an audition that required me to learn a challenging song. With Katie’s patience and enthusiasm she helped me learn a piece I was totally lost on. I’ll definitely go back to Katie for future lessons!

As a beginner-level guitar player and singer, I couldn't speak more highly of Taylor as a teacher. I've been doing lessons with him for almost 2 years now and have improved from complete beginner to recording songs! With his help, I've not only learned how to play songs on a guitar, but he has also taught me how to sing with the correct breathing and increased my range. One of the biggest benefits is that he has a home recording studio - not only is it cool to have my own recording, but it helps me learn to be able to listen to myself. Taylor's teaching style is very engaging and enthusiastic, plus he's patient with my musical inexperience. He teaches me songs I want to learn as well as unique guitar and singing skills. I would highly recommend Taylor to any aspiring musician who wants to have fun lessons while also improving drastically.

After doing a lot of hard singing during college, I basically had to start vocal training from scratch with Susan. It's safe to say, without her training, I would likely not be singing today. As of now, I have performed and taught in New York and Washington, D.C. among other cities in the states, Ecuador and Argentina while I continue to take lessons with Susan by Skype on a regular basis. She has a very organic, in-depth style that is tailor-made to each student. Also, most teachers just don't have the extent of her knowledge. If you're within 500 miles of her, do yourself a favor and go take lessons!

Tom worked with three of my children, ages 7-13. His experience both in voice and in piano were a perfect combination for the musical needs of our children. Tom was also great at helping them pursue composition, finding unique ways and connections to inspire their creativity. He's professional, fun, flexible and good with kids.

I’ve studied voice with a number of teachers, including some in New York who teach Broadway and opera professionals. John Peters is by far the most knowledgeable and effective I have ever seen. John can, of course, act as a coach to help you prepare for auditions and performances. But John's unique strengths are that he really understands how the body works to produce good sounds, and he knows how to communicate to his students so they can get it, too. If you are a beginner – and it’s surprising, most of us actually are, even if we’ve studied with other teachers for years – John has a series of exercises to get your breathing and vocal cords working the way they should. If you’re an experienced singer, John is uncanny at immediately identifying the flaws in your technique and assigning special vocal exercises that address them specifically. He quickly enlarged my range from barely an octave-and-half to way more than two octaves, got my tone to resonate much more richly, and developed my vibrato into a dependable part of my voice that I could control. I recommend John very highly. He's that very rare vocal professional who is equally at home teaching the whole gamut – from rock singing to country music to Broadway and opera "legit" technique. Whether you’re a beginner who wants to sound better, or a working professional who wants to take his or her career to the next level, John knows how to pitch his instruction to you as an individual and help you achieve your goals.

My niece has attended piano and voice lessons with Maja Lisa for 2 years and we will continue to do so. Maja Lisa keeps things fun and interesting while they are learning. For the voice portion of the lesson she uses games to exercise the vocal cords such as the "color game" and the "yummy food game". My niece probably doesn't realize but sometimes she even does those exercises at home. Maja Lisa lets her sing any song she wants and works with her to practice ways to better the song. She is very patient and caring when it comes to the piano lessons and always willing to answer questions. I have found on my side of things that when I need to reschedule a lesson Maja Lisa is always accommodating and professional. I would highly recommend Maja Lisa Voice Studio to anyone looking for a charming and personable teacher.

I am taking voice lessons with Cory since January 2011. I have been singing in choirs for years and had several other voice teachers before. He is great. He explains clearly. He takes the time required for you to understand the information. He is very open minded as far as music repertory. His agenda is flexible and is clearly making all possible efforts to make his classes a great experience. I am always energize when I leave his studio. Thanks to him I made real progress in a relatively short time frame. I would not hesitate at all to recommend him.

Miss Macri is an incredibly professional and educated teacher. I take voice and piano lessons with her and could not be happier. It has been a dream of mine to be able to perform in front of others. Miss Macri is patient and encouraging as I try to sing and play piano at the same time. After a year of lessons I just played my first open mic and received compliments from my family, friends and even a few strangers!!! So I would definitely recommend Miss Macri to anyone interested in starting or honing their music skills!

I love going to Jana's classes. Not only is she a great instructor of singing but she is also an all a around wonderful person. She shares her experiences and life with you in a way that makes you believe in yourself and your strength as an individual and as an artist. She has a great, bubbly personality and makes you feel very comfortable about your voice and your abilities, and she helps you to grow in that aspect and in many others. I definitely recommend Jana as a singing instructor for anyone.
