Andrew is extremely nice. You can tell he has been teaching for a while. I went into my first lessons with expectations of what I was looking for, and Andrew met all of my expectations and then some! I have already been playing drums for a little bit, and I am looking for Andrew to help me with some specific things, and Andrew was able to come up with a lesson plan exclusive to my needs and is still helping me improve in other areas. I could go on and on about how great Andrew is as a teacher, but nothing in writing can describe how great my first experience was with Andrew. I hope more drummers young and old looking for teachers chose to learn with Andrew because he simply is in a class of his own.

My 6 year old grandson truly enjoyed his drum lessons with Jon. Jon incorporated fun and learning, including math skills and eye/hand coordination, building confidence. Shane loved showing off his growing skills almost as much as we loved his 'performances'. Jon's enthusiasm and supportive teaching style made for a very positive and enjoyable experience.

Originally I was daunted by the idea of learning how to play the guitar and I didn't think I'd be able to do it well. But Stevie is a really great teacher and knows exactly what he is doing, and he also works with you through everything at your own pace. There are no feelings of pressure and each lesson I've had so far are fun & relaxing. He also works with your schedule & time frames and makes sure that you leave each lesson with enough information so that you can work with it throughout the week easily, and not get overwhelmed with too much info or work. After working with him, I have and will continue to recommend him to anyone who is interested in learning how to play a musical instrument; because I know you can't go wrong with this choice.

About

I am a Berklee graduate in piano and voice. I have performed for many years in many musical styles, including jazz, top 40, classical, opera and others. I have owned and operated a teaching studio/music store for ten years. I have been teaching both voice and piano for over 20 years.. I now do not perform regularly due to parenting, but I enjoy teaching immensely. I teach beginners to virtuosic. I work with my students to perfect the basics, like scales, and I am familiar with all styles of music as I customize lessons to the students' needs. Adults and children are equally enjoyable for me to teach.. Thank you for your consideration. I am happy to answer all of your questions concerning my abilities, your needs, etc. Best Regards, Mary

I took beginning ukulele lessons with Carol. I am a 58 year old student who can not read music. Carol was patient, understanding and very encouraging. As a first grade teacher, I plan to play the ukulele in class for our poetry lessons. Carol helped me learn the songs I will use in class and now I feel prepared and ready to shine like a rock star in front of my first graders! I would highly recommend her!

About

In my studio, students are taught singing and acting as one unified discipline. The voice aspect is rooted in classical technique and includes instruction in breathing, support, resonance and range extension. My acting instruction involves character and lyrical analysis and a wide range of Stanislavski based acting techniques, pieced together to meet your specific needs and to make you the best performer who you can be. This style of teaching can be applied to all genres of singing: musical theater (traditional and contemporary), pop-rock, jazz, classical and R&B. I am proud to teach it all, and all ages are welcome! I also specialize in audition technique and repertoire coaching, and my students have gone on to be accepted to the top music and theater schools in the country, including New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, the Berklee College of Music, the University of the Arts, Emerson College and Marymount Manhattan College. Current students are routinely cast as everything from the leads in their high school shows to the star performers in national theater tours. Lessons are held in my home studio in Wynnewood. I charge $70 for one-hour lessons and offer one half-priced first trial lesson, so that you can be assured firsthand that I would be a good addition to your musical and theatrical life!

About

Susan Dash's vocal coaching has been invaluable to my career as a recording artist, and a professional jazz vocalist. I have been taking lessons with her for over a decade, regularly commuting from my location in Maryland to her studio in Pennsylvania. There has been a tremendous increase in my vocal range and flexibility, and these continue to evolve and grow with her teaching and training. Under her guidance, I have come to understand and relate to my own vocal mechanism, and it's connection to my innermost self. It is through working with her that I have found my own true voice.

David spent over 6 months EVERY week preparing our son for his college scholarship audition. Because of David's consistency, encouragement, and wealth of expertise, our son did so well auditioning that it took the cost of a private school education to that of a public in state school. We can not thank David enough for the supportive, nurturing and superb coaching and training he has provided for our son, who has been singing for 15 years and has career aspirations in vocal performance in sacred music, choral conducting and music ministry. David is hands down, the best.

Chi is an excellent tutor. Prior to working with Chi I had not played the violin in 10 years. She has made playing again truly enjoyable, and has struck a perfect balance between challenging and fun. She is very flexible in terms of schedule and really knowledgeable in terms of tips and strategies for becoming a great violinist and tools and resources you need to get going! If you are in the Philadelphia area, I would highly recommend that you take lessons with Chi.
