I am very happy with our math tutor Mr Slurzberg. We have been trying for years to find a competent math tutor for my son. Mr S is an experienced math teacher who seems to love what he does! He is punctual, professional, and makes learning easy for our son.
Always on time and enthusiastic about his work. Time went by quick with his tutoring service. Happy I got to learn from this intelligent expert. :)
Heather is very personable and puts kids at ease quickly. She knows the tests, the strategies for both reading and math and she is a great PSAT/SAT prep tutor.
Over the past 4 years, Sarah Wright has tutored 2 of my children and myself in various areas of math ranging from math SAT prep to advanced graduate level Statistics and several areas in-between! I cannot say enough wonderful things about Sarah's teaching abilities and her level of knowledge in all areas of math. She is truly gifted in tutoring under even the most challenging of circumstances. She is incredible at deciphering a students learning style and knowing how to approach teaching them to achieve the best result. Sarah's dedication, patience and knowledge are truly amazing. The results from sarahs tutoring are excellent and I highly recommend her.
Michael provided college Calculus tutoring in person to my twins during the holiday Winter break, to prepare them to repeat Calculus in the Spring term, as they both struggled and failed when they were initially exposed to Calculus in college in the Fall. He will continue to be available remotely during the Spring to help them as needed while they are away in college. Michael was a fantastic tutor, and was very patient with them. My twins learned a lot from him, and he was able to identify some gaps in their knowledge. He simplified and clarified a lot of the basic concepts, and this should help tremendously as they are retaking Calculus in the Spring. I highly recommend him without any reservations.
He was an excellent tutor! Class A act. Lots of energy. Attempts to make lessons relatable and as fun as Algebra can be. Showed up on or before time, each lesson. He was very sweet and a wonderful teacher!!!
My daughter's grades went up since Judy started tutoring.
Rajesh is a great tutor. He is extremely knowledgeable in math. We needed help with PreCalc/Trig, and he was just wonderful. He is not only very well-versed in the subject matter, but is also an excellent teacher. He is very thorough and patient. He steps through each problem and makes sure that the fundamentals are clear. He is also great at identifying the weaknesses and areas that my son needed to study and work on. My son was very comfortable asking questions, and enjoyed working with Rajesh. We saw definite improvements in the math grades, and my son has more confidence now.
John was my son's Pre-Cal (as well as his other subjects) tutor, when he was in the 11th grade. John helped him learn new study skills and organizational techniques. My son was extremely comfortable working with him and always improved on whatever they focused on. John is professional and reliable as well as personable. I will be hiring him to help my son with his ACTs this year!
Kevin was a wonderful tutor, and helped my daughter a great deal.
So far so good with tutoring for my son ! My son says that he knows his stuff . He is learning a lot already . Manav is scheduling reading for my son to complete . Manav was great with communicating with me to get the tutoring started . He has been timely . They've met up twice so far and we plan to continue until Manav is off to college . I had Manav provide me with a resume and documentation of his score of a 5 on his Calculus Exam . I also requested to have two references with one being his advisor from his high school . He provided me what I needed and his references both were great and they both spoke highly of Manav . They said that he was more than qualified to tutor calculus II. We are pleased !
Mark was awesome to work with. He broke down the steps for me and made sure I had a good understanding of my statistics problems.

Hello students! I have been tutoring for the last 10 years and love it. My goal is to make math less intimidating by using logic in combination with real life examples to make the numbers make sense. Most people are able to fall back on these tactics in test scenarios so that they not only understand the method to solve the problems, but have a back-up plan in case they suddenly blank. Of course there will always be some memorization involved, but I try to keep that to a minimum! As someone who has relied on these tactics myself, I know how effective they can be. My educational background is a B.S. in Marketing from West Chester University (graduated Summa Cum Laude), and more recently an MBA from Penn State University with a focus in New Ventures and Entrepreneurial Studies. I live and work locally, have availability most evenings after work (from 4-4:30 PM on) and on most weekends as well. I am flexible with hours and accessible via text, phone and e-mail to answer quick questions during non-tutoring hours. If you're outside of the radius I travel to, I'm happy to consider online tutoring options, as well. That means Skype, FaceTime, Google Hangouts or even just sending homework my way to check. Whatever works for you, each student is different and has different needs. Know someone else or a few others needing the same support as you or your student? I'm happy to do small group sessions as well - message me and we can talk through rate, depending on the group size. I look forward to meeting you and will be happy to answer any questions you may have! Lindsay

Hello, I'm Sam Zappala. I've been a math tutor since 1998. When I work with the students, if there's an easier way; I'll inform them. This is how I gain their respect. I teach algebra, geometry and trigonometry. I will also get into SI (metrics). When working with geometry and/or trigonometry, the first formulas I want them to remember are: a^2+b^2=c^2, for right triangles; and a/sin?=b/sin?=c/sin?, for all triangles. I've been working with numbers since I was a teenager. When I was putting myself through school, I was working in a warehouse. I would do the math in my head before somebody else could punch it into a calculator. I've got the ability; now I need to pass it on. I have an MD in Mechanical Engineering. Please see the resume. I also designed several tools. I am now attempting to get one on the market.
Now that I operate my online math tutoring service on a full-time basis, I am able to provide personal attention to my clients. I offer ongoing live phone consultations to the parents or students, and for new clients, I can demonstrate how our online sessions will be run. Also, a student will be able to log into my website to schedule a tutoring session with just a few clicks.
Are you loving math yet? Let's work on that! I've been tutoring math for approximately 20 years. The youngest student has been about 7 and the oldest was 38. I help with algebra I and II, trigonometry and geometry, college algebra, pre-calc, predominantly. I've worked with kids in many different school districts over the years, and most of my assignments come as a result of referrals!
