I have been taking classical guitar lessons from Bertrand for a few weeks and am pleased with the progress. Bertrand has a contagious music philosophy and a knack for intertwining genres. He emphasizes music theory beyond the guitar and is constantly interested in the structural foundations of the pieces I play.
I was a relative beginner to the guitar when I started lessons with Otis. From the first lesson he was patient, encouraging and enthusiastic. He tailors the lessons to the types of music and songs you are interested in. He has a wide range of music knowledge and styles which make him an ideal teacher who can help any student take that first step toward becoming a guitar player or help a seasoned player hone their skills. Highly recommended!
Shane is an awesome guitar teacher! He is very laid back, fun, and pays attention to where you are as a student. He pushes you, but also makes sure you're still having fun because he knows that's what it's all about. I highly recommend him as a teacher - and the G4 method is easy to follow. Instead of grabbing your usual beer and a Lyft, spend the cash on guitar lessons you have always wanted to take!
David has been teaching me guitar for a little over a month now. I have already seen great advances in my technique, rhythm, and understanding of music. I have been playing guitar for 9 years off and on, and I have never had professional lessons. I can say that after a month with David, I am playing better than I ever have and believe that my guitar playing skills will continue to progress rapidly with David's help. His teaching technique is very casual and fun, almost conversational, and his insights are spot on. He is exactly what I hoped for in an instructor when I started looking at guitar lessons and I would highly recommend him for anyone who loves guitar, regardless of their skill level. He is a 'must hire' professional!
We hired Tristan to teach our daughter guitar every week at our home. He has been terrific. He's extremely knowledgeable and personable, on top of which he knows how to motivate and to teach. With his help daughter has made great strides in her guitar skill and really enjoyed herself along the way.
I've been playing guitar for almost 30 years and I can honestly say that Josh is an amazing guitar teacher. If you are looking for the best guitar lessons in Taunton, Taunton Guitar Lessons is the place for you! Josh cares more about his students than anyone else, you would be very wise to invest in yourself by taking guitar lessons with him!
I have three guitar lessons with Evan and he has already given me so much great stuff to work on! I had been teaching myself for about six months, but Evan has done so much more for me and shown me so many ways to improve. I am really looking forward to continuing learning from him.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Jacob is your guy. What you look for in a teacher is someone who ENJOYS teaching you, is patient, and allows you to enjoy what you're doing. You can tell Jacob cares about what he does and he cares about teaching someone the guitar. In a short period, I've learned a ton from him and he's even gone out of his way to send videos of stuff I've needed to practice. If you're looking for an instructor, Jacob is the man for the job!
Matt is a wonderful teacher and person. He sincerely wants to help people reach their potential and goals for learning guitar. Not only does he spend the time to get to know your background and areas for improvement, but he also caters to your particular style (blues, folk, classical, metal) and is flexible schedule-wise. I completely recommend Matt as a teacher. I have tried many instructors before and none have come close to Matt's patience and willingness to adjust his explanation style to fit your needs.
Sara is an amazing teacher. She is very patient with her students, passionate about music and teaching music. She tries to find what best suites you to learn. You see progress clearly because Sara's lessons are structured. I took guitar and vocal lessons with her, she tailored the exercises to what I wanted and helped me reach my goals. She adjusted herself to my pace which was exactly what I needed, a patient expert teacher who is talented and good at communicating their knowledge. I recommend her 100%!
Brian has wonderful energy! He has engaged my young daughters and has them excited to learn to play guitar! He tailors the lessons to our musical taste, and makes it fun fun fun!
I was a complete beginner at 50! John has been excellent at introducing me to guitar so I can play songs right away. After a couple of months, I searched online for what makes a good guitar teacher and John does them all.
For the past few years, Joe was paramount in helping me realize my love and potential for music, particularly with the guitar. When I first came to Joe for lessons he was incredibly flexible with scheduling and was very attentive to exploring areas of the guitar that I not only wanted to learn, but that he knew would challenge me to improve my skills and further my understanding of the underlying roots of the music. Joe was always focused during the lessons, making sure I was really picking up on what was being taught for the entirety of the sessions. Often, Joe would follow up with me during the week between sessions to see how my progress was going and to answer any questions I had which proved to be extremely helpful. Overall, my experience with Joe was excellent, his attention to detail regarding the music as well as his great focus on making sure I was truly understanding the lessons made the learning process not only exciting and fun but enormously fruitful. Joe was fun, passionate and worked extremely hard in his role as my guitar teacher and I truly appreciate all the time he spent to help me improve my skills and become closer to my passion for music.
I have been learning from Akshit for six months now and is an amazing teacher and guitarist to learn from His emphasis on guitar basics really push you to zone of being a professional guitar player
We have been working with Wake for a few months and he is awesome!! He is smart, creative and makes learning fun. His knowledge about music is impressive and he is able to adjust to our child's desire to advance in guitar as well as with overall music theory. He is able to change his teaching strategy based on her level of understanding. When met with a challenge of a broken arm. Wake quickly rose to the occasion and adapted to help our daughter continue her learning! Impressive response time, adaptation and eager to help a serious student.
I offer private guitar instruction with 13 years of experience. As seen in Improper Bostonian, Jazz Times, Boston Globe, Arizona Republic, and Backbay Courant, this service has been established since 1998 and have been at the same Back Bay location since 2004. Gift certificates are available! My name is Buddy Jones. I'm from Phoenix, AZ. I teach beneficial, practical, and fun musical application of knowledge and skills on the guitar. It is my primary goal with each student to get him/her off on the right foot and have him/her stay on the right track. I have been a professional guitarist for 17 years and a fourth generation musician-educator for over a decade. My degree is in guitar performance from Berklee College of Music. Each person learns differently. The following three things are known as modalities: * Auditory -- by ear or tonal instruction * Kinesthetic -- by feel; learns from physically being shown and a hands-on learner * Visual -- by sight; by fret board position memory and shape You will have access to learn the following: * Jazz * Blues * Rock * Flamenco * Folk * Classical * Seven-String Guitar * Tuning * Charts/Notation * Songwriting * Rhythm * Material Foundation * Accents/Dynamics * Soloing * Self-Assessment Goals * Walking Bass Lines * Phrasing * Daily Dexterity Exercises * Different Approaches * Relative Pitch * Harmony * Physical Techniques * Harmonics * Tapping Techniques * Chord and Scale Structures * Theory! I love to teach and see students grow on the instrument. I find each student's learning style and teach within it. Proudly, I have started students and helped them build a foundation in music that has led many students with scholarships (Berklee, USC, ASU, NYU, UofA, and NAU) for music. You can reach me if you're driving, I'm located in major cross streets -- Marlborough St. and Gloucester St. If you are taking the public transit, I'm three blocks from the Hynes Convention Center and T Stop on the Green Line. There is ample metered parking in front of the brownstone. Reserve your slot; it's first-come first-served, and space is limited.
I teach guitar lessons to students of all ages and skill levels. I've taught beginners from 6 years old to 60, as well as helped high schoolers with aspirations of gaining admission to music schools like Berklee. With most students, I prefer teaching the songs that you listen to instead of something out of a book that I've chosen for you! I'm a graduate of the University of Miami with a degree in Jazz Guitar Performance and I'd love to help you discover your passion for music! I have rates for 30, 45, and 60-minute lessons for both my home studio and traveling to your home. Please don't hesitate to contact me! I am serving South Shore Area.
I am a singer/songwriter offering lessons to those that aspire to play the guitar. Lessons are for 30 minutes, 45 minutes, or an hour. I teach acoustic or electric guitar. I have played a variety of styles, including jazz, rock, reggae, flamenco, fingerpicking, and my own.
I am a Berklee College of Music graduate with a BA in professional music (guitar) and 15 years of experience teaching adults and children, beginners to advanced. I offer lessons in my Little Compton home studio, or I can come to student's home.
Guitar lessons should be fun and they are.
