Nick has really been an extraordinary teacher and mentor to our son. Caleb has been playing guitar for 6-7 years, and Nick has taken him on his musical journey from 'twinkle twinkle little star' to Jimmy Hendrix and Led Zeppelin. No matter where Caleb's musical interests have gone ( trying out for 'jazz band', all state, working with a rock band, or solo performances), Nick has helped Caleb develop his skills and confidence with patience and encouragement. Nick communicates really well with parents and students about semester goals ( including aspects of music theory and ear training). We recommend him highly and without reservation!
Very flexible and understanding. Unfortunately, I had outside commitments that left my schedule a bit crazy and unpredictable, and Jessica always accommodate me ... However, I have yet to squeeze in a lesson, but I would highly recommend Jessica on professionalism alone, she's super sweet, excited about people's goals, and was willing to take on my idea for voice lessons, even though they were a little different (for public speaking).
Jaime is a great teacher, working with him has rekindled my love for guitar. I have been playing for a couple years, but I have never got beyond the basics. Four lessons in and I am progressing quickly. I would recommend Jaime to anyone. He meets you where you're at and works with what you want, while at the same time improving your skills and fundamentals.
I have found John to be courteous, patient and encouraging. He listens to and values student input. He establishes a lesson plan using the students preferred music genres. Lessons with John have been satisfying and fun.
I've had multiple sessions with Josh. He's extremely knowledge about Ableton and music theory in general. Since starting my lessons I've learned how to master my tracks and many different techniques to help make my tracks sound more unique.
I’ve studied voice for close to a decade (both privately and as part of my college major) and Cristina’s teaching has made singing easier than it’s ever been. Even though I’ve only been working with her for a couple of months, I no longer fear if I’ll hit a note because I know how to support it and have confidence in that. On top of that, Cristina puts so much effort into our lessons, and wants you to grow not only as a singer but as a well-rounded musician with a good ear and knowledge of music theory. She’s really a wonderful instructor and such a pleasure to work with!
I'm in my 80s and am taking jazz lessons from Joyce. She is a friend as well as a teacher. She shares her enthusiasm for music and teaches not just about playing the piano but also about the composers and the ways of personalizing my playing. Taking lessons from her has been a wonderful experience for me. I would recommend her to all age groups as she is so attuned to each person she is teaching. She's a special person.
What an excellent teacher--I am an adult voice student and I have learned a lot. Her comments are very helpful and respectfully given. Plus I have learned wonderful music and have enjoyed the lessons immensely. Lenae is the accompanist for two groups I sing with: the Broad Cove Chorale and the Unicorn Singers in Hingham MA What a demon pianist and organist--and singer who can fill in whenever and wherever she's needed Nothing she can't do! Grey is amazing. I am a university lecturer and appreciate someone who teaches with a rigorous and practical method. Grey not only is an accomplished musician, he knows music theory well and is able to combine theory and practice in a series of effective fun lessons such that I was able to have fun learning guitar while building a solid grounding. He is not just another guitar instructor, I really appreciate his dedication in teaching and bringing the art of guitar playing to the world through his book and lessons. Hope you will enjoy him as much as I did.
Evan is a fantastic music teacher! I took guitar lessons from him for a year, and was always impressed by his tailored approach to his students, his own playing ability, and his knowledge of music theory. Plus, the lessons were fun and introduced the basics of guitar in a fresh, memorable way. Highly recommended.
Alan was my first and only guitar teacher. He went above and beyond to help me to not only learn guitar, but learn music theory, work on writing music, and overall prepared me to be a collegiate music student and a working musician. Alan found out my goals right off the bat and catered our weekly lessons toward them. He provided encouragement and helpful feedback. He fostered my love for music, guitar, singing, and songwriting. Alan's music lessons helped shape me into the musician I am today.
David has been teaching me guitar for a little over a month now. I have already seen great advances in my technique, rhythm, and understanding of music. I have been playing guitar for 9 years off and on, and I have never had professional lessons. I can say that after a month with David, I am playing better than I ever have and believe that my guitar playing skills will continue to progress rapidly with David's help. His teaching technique is very casual and fun, almost conversational, and his insights are spot on. He is exactly what I hoped for in an instructor when I started looking at guitar lessons and I would highly recommend him for anyone who loves guitar, regardless of their skill level. He is a 'must hire' professional!
I have three guitar lessons with Evan and he has already given me so much great stuff to work on! I had been teaching myself for about six months, but Evan has done so much more for me and shown me so many ways to improve. I am really looking forward to continuing learning from him.
I began taking piano lessons at 70 yrs of age and Barbara has been very patient and helpful in my learning process. I'm delighted to be able to read and play comfortably and continue to learn new things in spite of previous instrumental experience.
My son took beginner piano lessons from Fiona last year. He is a very sensitive boy and was nervous about learning an instrument for the first time, but Fiona put him at ease right away. She has a sweet and earnest teaching style, and explains new concepts in a way that's welcoming and easy to understand. I know her willingness to teach him whatever music he wanted to learn went a long way towards keeping his attention on the piano and away from the iPad. We always looked forward to our lessons with her!
My son and I have been taking lessons with Lynn for 5 or 6 years now. She is very patient with younger students (& older students having "senior moments"). She is also flexible in her lessons in that if we want to work on theory, jazz, rock, blues, she will cater to our requests.
He offers services that are professional, and very personalized! He makes his lesson plans geared toward my individual needs. Lastly, he has always been supportive of whatever I aspire to do. It is a pleasure to work with him as a former voice student and current piano student. I highly recommend him for any of his services!
Joyce is a lovely person whose knowledge of music is profound. We always have a great time a my lessons and I learn a lot.
Off to a great start with piano lessons for my 3 kids. She makes learning fun for them. They look forward to their lessons every week!
I do musical theater, individual and group classes in lesson format and/or summer workshops. I also do performance, choreography, coaching and special occasion coaching. I have been training actors young to old, from Shakespeare, Broadway, Modern, Classical Theater. Languages is my specialty. I offer stage combat training. I am an accompanist/studio a given.
Inigo is a great guitar instructor. He is very knowledgeable in multiple guitar styles and great at explaining music theory. He is easy going and encouraging. It is great making music with him!
