I needed someone to renew my parents vows for their 40th wedding anniversary. It was extremely last minute but luckily Gladys was available. She was absolutely amazing. She was extremely professional and polite. The vows she had my parents recite were perfect for them. It was a night we'll never forget. Thank you again Gladys!
We were so unbelievably pleased with Cathleen and her assistants. She went above and beyond, and I can't imagine trying to get through the day without her. I did the planning of the wedding myself, but since I arranged all of the decorations and timing myself, I really needed someone to keep track of everything and to make sure my vision for our wedding was realized. Cathleen was exactly what we needed. She was an invaluable part of our wedding and I highly recommend her. Everything was above and beyond, and I was able to feel relaxed all day. Throughout the day she fixed a few minor hitches and kept all of the vendors on our schedule. Then, when we walked into our reception it was exactly as I had imagined. Beautiful! Then at the end of the night she packed everything up perfectly. I honestly could not be happier. I'm already thinking about other larger parties we might have where we could hire her again.
Jennifer was our day of coordinator for our May 30th, 2015 wedding. In the month leading up to the wedding she helped me stay focused and on task. She kept all the vendors in the loop and went above and beyond to make sure I was prepared for the most amazing day of my life. I do not know how I could have done it without her and Shannon. Both these women encouraged my vision and worked tirelessly to ensure my dream wedding came to fruition. I was impressed by the teams' high level of professionalism and creative mindset. She gave me crucial tips and pointers on how to improve the quality reception. Jennifer was always on time and settled for nothing but quality performance and service from all the vendors involved. Belle was amazing! Last minute (very very last min) about 4 days before the wedding, I decided I wanted chairs covers for all my chairs, and a nice decoration for my sweetheart table and a backdrop. Kind of alot for last minute planning, didn't thought I would have time to get all that arrange. I created an account here inquiring for someone to hire to do this. Belle contacted me immediately and made everything so much easier for me, gave me ideas and made me feel secure that everything was going to be alright (even under the stress I was going through that week). I know God placed her in my path and that it was meant to be done by her, she is a blessing! To tell you all this, before I walked into the hall for my reception I didn't have a specific idea of what to expect of everything but I knew it would be very nice, but when I walked into the room everything was BREATHTAKING! I couldn't believe how beautiful and amazing everything looked, it was like a dream! John and his crew were wonderful at my wedding!! From the first conversation with John, he was professional and very responsive. Just through speaking to him I knew I wanted to hire him but once we had the first tasting I knew he was the best! The food was outstanding and he even made a little meal for my 2 year old son during our initial tasting as well! He is also very reasonably priced! The night of the wedding was just perfect and I think I might have hugged John a couple times before it was over! Thank you SO much for making my wedding perfect! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
I met with Jen at the Pawtucket Public Library on Wednesday June 22, 2015 and she was outstanding. Jen was very nice, listened to my needs, wants, and concerns. She made the stress of planning a wedding go away, she made me feel comfortable and like I could do this. I will be using her services for my engagement photos and as a wedding planner. I am very pleased with her so far I only had one meeting with her but so far it has been wonderful.
Planning a destination wedding in Newport, RI in 6 months while living hundreds of miles away, working full time, moving once cross-country, finding a new job, starting a new job, etc, etc, is no easy task, even with a wedding planner! With everything going on in my life, plus the short timeframe (the wedding date we selected was 6 months out from the day we secured the venue), and the fact that I am a perfectionist, I knew I was going to need help. I was lucky enough to come across SYB Event Planning while on Thumbtack. I interviewed a few companies and ended up selecting SYB because Soraya, the owner, and I really clicked while talking on the phone. While I wasn't necessarily looking for a cultural wedding, I knew she would understand some of the nuances with our families because my husband and I come from different cultural backgrounds. Soraya specializes in taking the time to understand different cultures and she goes out of her way to embed as much or as little as you want of you or your partner's culture into your wedding. I'm so glad I had Soraya for the entire wedding planning process and for the day of the wedding. Our wedding was absolutely beautiful and totally exceeded my expectations (this is a perfectionist speaking...just for some perspective). I don't think that could have been possible without having Soraya helping along the way. She challenged me to think about things I would have never thought of and took care of all the details. She went above and beyond to make sure the wedding was as successful as it could be. She even drove over 90 miles each way to get us a cute favor that we really wanted for our guests...without hesitating! I didn't even ask her, but when she heard me talking about what I would like to do if the place was closer, she just jumped in and said she would take care of it. I'm so thankful for everything Soraya did to make our special day a success and would highly recommend her to anyone trying to plan a wedding.

I worked with Cynthia on a birthday party a few months back. She was corrdinating the party all day. I walked in about an hour early and she was already there, setting things up, blowing up balloons, setting up the tables. She was very focused and always had a smile on her face. I made sure I grabbed her business cards and I have told all my friends about her. I hope I get a chance to work with her again professionally and if not she will definitely be planning my wedding!
Kelly did the day of coordination for my wedding, and all the pre-work to prepare for the day. She helped find additional staff, suggest vendors, and essentially anything I asked of her. Kelly was truly amazing and saved my wedding in so many ways! From the moment I hired Kelly, she gave me peace of mind and assurance that everything will be perfect. There is a lot of effort and coordination that goes into making a wedding, Kelly was right there with me along the way. As somebody who has orchestrated many events, she gave thoughtful suggestions to ensure my event was planned perfectly. She was always in contact, answered all my emails promptly, and calmed every worry and question I had prior to my wedding. She went over my plan and wishes in great detail to ensure she knew exactly what I wanted and how I wanted everything. The day of she was a wedding saver. I got everything I planned executed as requested and the event ran without any issues (at least none I was award of), Kelly did that great of a job. I spent my wedding day dancing, enjoying the wedding I dreamed of, and visiting my family and friends, while Kelly worked extremely hard to ensure everything went as planned. She did an outstanding job and my wedding day was beyond my expectations. Thank you Kelly for everything that you did and all the things I don't know about, you were truly one of the best decisions I made during my wedding planning!
Our wedding reception was lovely thanks to David! We heard all the songs we asked for and none of the ones we didn't! David has a wonderful sense of humor, and kept us laughing the whole evening. There was a mix up with the exact venue, and David set up in a different building and he was a great sport about the whole thing. We were glad to have him, would recommend his services and call on him again for our DJ needs!
Everyone needs the Professional Maid of Honor at their wedding or event! Katelynn took initiative in so many ways before and on the day of my wedding. Leading up to the event, Katelynn was a great listener. She heard and understood what I envisioned for the day when other people didn't, she helped me think thorough back up plans in case of rain, and when the day came she coordinated everything seamlessly. It's true what everyone says, your wedding day flys by! Having Katelynn there allowed my husband and I to spend more time chatting with our guests. While we were enjoying ourselves, Katelynn made sure the day flowed as planned. She started the transition from cocktail hour to dinner, made sure our speakers were ready to give their toasts, transitioned us into the dance hall after dinner, and so much more. I could go on forever about all the helpful things Katelynn did on our wedding day. What I loved most about working with her was her fun and positive attitude. She took on every change or task without hesitation. Any stress or worry we had about the wedding day running smoothly disappeared once we found and talked with Katelynn. I hired MDB Hospitality to provide bartending services for my holiday party. They did a very good job mixing drinks, and bringing positivity, enthusiasm, and humor to the party. I would (and will) absolutely hire them again in the future.
My fiancee and I had one simple request to keep our wedding planning and wedding day stress free. Amanda has more than exceeded our expectations. She saved us a lot of money, providing props, design recommendations, averted so many foreseeable crises months before the wedding started. She was flexible with my family's needs, and collaborated with my in-laws in wedding preparations. She ended every call with "Let me know if you can think of anything else you need..." She missed our rehearsal dinner after our rather awful florist messed up our flowers last minute. Amanda was almost like a part of our family, honoring both my needs and my family's, finding peaceful solutions where she could. The wedding turned was like a fairytale. For someone as laidback and almost absent in my wedding planning, Amanda stepped up and turned what I thought was going to be a beautiful day into an extraordinary experience for me and my now husband! These guys were great!! Best around! From day 1 they were great to work with. They made a great "how we met video" and the music was perfect for our entire wedding and reception . I would recommend them to anyone looking for a wedding or event.
We used Meredith for our wedding. She was amazing!! She is so friendly and personable and extremely open and easy to work with. She is so good at what she does. I never knew until years later that things went wrong during various parts of the night at our wedding. She handled it all without letting on that anything was wrong!! Meredith had a great balance of persistence and professionalism. We would definitely use her again. You will not regret it.
I highly recommend Lee Ann. With less than a week before a first communion party, I realized I needed help pulling it together because of my work schedule. She sprang into action, whipped everything together, including rental of tent & chairs, picked up catering and set everything up while we were at church. When we came home with guests in tow, it looked lovely and all we had to do was enjoy the party. It was stress free. I highly recommend Lee Ann and would hire her in a heartbeat again.
