We started with Robert Perkins Piano lessons, and since out first lesson he clicked with my son. He is fun but professional. He is firm and nice at the same time. He also sounds like he has a solid curriculum on place and following it which I like. My son is almost 6 years old and we are looking for more lessons with Robert Perkins and I will update my review in four weeks.

My 13-year-old has been taking piano lessons with Taylor for almost a year now. He is an excellent teacher, especially on modern/jazz methods. He is patient, encouraging and challenging at the same time. He provides regular feedback to parents on progress.

I have enrolled my 6 year old for violin lessons with Dolce Studio. Two Lessons and my son has taken a liking to the instrument and the teacher Ms.Emily is so encouraging & supportive. She knows how to draw out my son who can be very reluctant to try in the face of a difficult task. Thanks to the wonderful Brenda Bedell for all the initial ground work in setting up the violin teacher for us! Highly recommend the studio for music lessons.

We were blessed to have Ms. Kay for our kids piano lessons. Our kids have separate piano interests and learning curves. Ms Kay worked well with both of them, identifying their individual strengths and weaknesses and working with them. We wish her the best on her move to another state.

Although Kristen specializes in teaching kids, she also is a great teacher for adult piano learners. We meet weekly for about 30 minutes. 30 minutes seems short, but it is actually quite adequate for a beginning piano player. I am impressed and glad I found Kristen. I look forward to continuing learning with her.

I am a parent & my 13 years old son. We both met Elizabeth for piano lessons. The teacher communicates very well on accessing his level, ability and interest with enthusiasm. My son communicates with her well, enjoys her piano session, making great progress. Mrs. Elizabeth is a great teacher. She definitely not only teach well, but also Inspire her students. For myself who also want to learn the piano, I recognize that she has a great ability to explain piano theory in an easy to understand method & I appreciate that tremendously. She also recommends great books that are appropriate for me.

Getting my son to try new things and sticking with them is no easy task. However, after starting piano lessons with Ms. Mindy a little over a year ago, my 8 year old has not only stuck with it but has performed at 3 piano recitals and 2 UT Festivals. Miss Mindy makes learning the piano fun by teaching them popular and exciting songs that they can play almost immediately. Then with her expert knowledge and fun and relaxed teaching style progresses them to more advanced pieces. I am thrilled with my son’s amazing progress and with the enjoyment and sense of accomplishment he gets from practicing and playing the piano. Thank you Miss Mindy!!!

"Paula is valuable as a piano teacher because she instructs according to her student's goals. She's been playing for decades and is a recording artist herself, which obviously gives her the credentials and a special perspective...but during lessons, none of this gets in way of the student. She teaches you proper technique, but without turning the learning process into a bore fest. She exposes you to theory and the big picture, but without disregarding the student's natural tendencies of just wanting to play some songs. Learning stays fun, but nearly without notice, the student still gets the proper education . From a practical standpoint, Paula is a perfect instructor choice. As a 29 year old professional, I always had interest in playing the piano, but just couldn't find the time. Paula comes out to me, is always on time, and makes learning the keyboard fit within my schedule and its sometimes hectic pace."

I first met Deuce when he came to conduct a rehearsal at my studio. I heard the band throughout and was incredibly impressed by Deuce’s virtuoso abilities on the guitar. I was also equally impressed with the way he interacted with his band mates. He seemed very easy to work with and open to suggestions. I later had the opportunity to actually play with him in another band for a gig and everything I thought I had observed before was confirmed. If you are looking for a guitar teacher, you would be in great hands learning from Deuce.

John helped me renew my belief that I am a CREATIVE and EXPANSIVE human. I always said that I had no musical talent, because I didn't take lessons as a kid. In just four lessons, I already have a new creative practice that I wake up to. Thank you, John. I recommend any one who is needing to get in touch with their creative selves. ♥

My children have taken lessons from Robert for years now, one a beginning student and one with several years of training. We were looking for a teacher who could bring a fresh perspective to learning piano, with a good-natured spirit. We found these qualities in Robert— a creative and interesting approach to beginning piano, a gentle and thoughtful demeanor, and access to his own current work, which makes the repetitoir exciting. Robert is dependable, professional and trustworthy. We wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone wishing to begin or continue piano lessons.

My 10 year old daughter has been taking piano and voice lessons from Deborah for the past year and she loves her! Deborah has helped her find music that she is passionate about learning and worked with her to play and sing with confidence in front of audiences. From my daughter "She is a super nice teacher and I like the types of songs we get to play. It is really cool to take lessons from her! It is fun."

About

I am a fun and creative piano and voice teacher for all ages and skill levels! I believe in making music lessons enjoyable! I am not a stuffy, strict piano teacher that slaps your hand with a ruler if you hit a wrong note! I do have curriculum and structure, but I encourage my students to express themselves through music. For piano I teach a strong theory base with reading but also integrate ear training and improvisation. For vocals I teach vocal techniques that can transfer to any genre of music the student is interested in. I hold two recitals per year and work on performance skills with each student prior to the performances.

About

My teaching techniques really zero in on bringing out each student's individual and unique sound in as healthy a way as possible. I teach how to apply classical techniques to any style or genre of music to give you a supportive base to go from, or in other words give you all the rules and how to apply them so you know exactly how to bend them in order to achieve your style. I am strong in communicating these techniques to any age group. I regularly teach students ages 5-35. I do well to get the goal aspect of a lesson while keeping it fun and personalized. I also have a background in fitness and hold several certifications, so I understand the concepts of movement and alignment (such as Alexander technique) best to support your singing.
