In more than 30 years of off and on guitar lessons, I've had a lot of teachers. Trevor is the best instructor I've met -- by far. In the first lesson, he figured out my skill level, interests, goals and probably my maximum capabilities. He sent me home that day with tangible and workable exercises (not the general and intangible stuff you usually get), and they worked. In two months, I've made more progress than I have in years. Trevor has a wide range of musical interests, so it doesn't matter what kind of music you like - he can teach it. That's important if you don't know what you want or get bored and like to switch things up. But the best thing about taking lessons from Trevor is that it is clear he likes teaching, and that he's very good at it. I surprised him once by bringing a 7 year old want to be guitarist to my lesson. A fast hour later, I left with the 7 year old knowing how to play a simplified version of his favorite song -- and he'd never played guitar before. Trevor knew how to teach him even though he had no warning or preparation, and he inspired the 7 year old to practice so he could go back for more lessons. This city is full of great musicians and great teachers. It is rare to find one person, like Trevor, who is both. If you're reading this, then you're looking for a great guitar teacher who can make a difference in your playing. You can stop reading and stop looking. Trevor motivates, encourages and teaches, and makes it all fun. He's the teacher everyone is looking for. I wish I'd started lessons with him long ago.

I have enrolled my 6 year old for violin lessons with Dolce Studio. Two Lessons and my son has taken a liking to the instrument and the teacher Ms.Emily is so encouraging & supportive. She knows how to draw out my son who can be very reluctant to try in the face of a difficult task. Thanks to the wonderful Brenda Bedell for all the initial ground work in setting up the violin teacher for us! Highly recommend the studio for music lessons.

Our 14 year old daughter really wanted to take guitar lessons, so we looked around and found En Fuego School of Guitar. Steve at En Fuego gave us a free first/trial lesson right in our home (which included a loaner guitar), my daughter really enjoyed it and we've been with Steve ever since. The fact that he provides in-home instruction is super convenient and saves us a ton of time and headache. Steve is a great teacher and is very patient and thorough. He also makes the lessons fun, and my daughter practices often on her own, without us having to remind her all the time. In my book, that's a success! Steve is teaching my daughter a variety of styles from classical guitar to blues, pop, and some fun classic rock songs as well. She really looks forward to the guitar lessons, which are challenging yet not overwhelming. Our daughter has learned several songs quite well, and can play them all from memory. We really love hearing her play the guitar! We highly recommend Steve to anyone looking for a great guitar teacher for themselves and/or their kids.

I have been taking guitar lessons from Nick recently, and he is great! Very patient and explains things in a way I can understand. Doesn't jump down your throat the way some instructors do. Know he also teaches voice and keyboard lessons, and believe they'd be a good bet too. I would definitely recommend him!!

Chris is a great guitar instructor. I couldn’t have picked a better teacher for my 9 year old son. In fact, he made it so much fun for my son that I decided to start taking guitar lessons from Chris as well. Chris easily breaks down difficult guitar concepts and makes them approachable. You can tell that Chris really loves music as it comes through in his enthusiasm for teaching. I would highly recommend Chris to anyone looking for a great guitar teacher. -Jason Faludi

Brian is a talented, very experienced professional who shares his love of music. He makes lessons fun and interesting and makes the extra effort to include songs from musicians I like. He's always patient, explains concepts very clearly and is always encouraging. I would highly recommend guitar lessons with Brian, and I look forward to learning more from him.

Learning the Guitar under David's tutelage has been a very enjoyable experience. I could not have found a better instructor. He makes learning theory fun. I'm looking forward to continue my work with David. So, if you're looking for an instructor, look no further. You will not be disappointed. He loves to teach and it comes through how much during each lesson.
