The best teacher ever!!!!!!! In a lesson he undestands your weakness so he knows in which field you need more help.
I came to Damon wanting to improve my vocal control, and to prepare for musical theater auditions. He has done a great job at clearly explaining singing voice type, vocal range, and singing techniques to prevent strain on my voice. Not only that, but helped with explaining how to present myself professionally in a musical theater audition. Finally the best part about each session is Damon's positive and encouraging personality!
My 14 year old daughter is in a voice class which she loves. Her instructor is very enthusiastic and professional and assigns practice for the following week. At the end of the lesson she always provides me with information about the lesson. I am looking forward to the recital.
Michelle is great! I take vocal lessons from her for musical theater and she really takes the time to understand your needs and is patient with teaching new concepts. I look forward to working with her in the future.
My daughter had private lessons in vocal music with Ms. Stephanie Derrick for almost a year. The experience was absolutely rewarding and far exceeded our expectations. The excellent instruction she received prepared her to get accepted into a performing arts academy! Ms. Stephanie is a well educated, accomplished and highly trained musician not to mention, very professional and personable. My daughter enjoyed going for her lessons as Ms. Stephanie always made it fun and not feel like work. I would highly recommend her teaching instruction to anyone looking to get a solid foundation in musical principles or advance to the next level in performing. Ms. Derrick is the one who can get you there! We look forward to the opportunity to train with her again in the near future.
Moira is an exceptionally talented musician. I have taken voice lessons with her for just over 3 years. She has taken me from a shaky mezzo to a confident dramatic soprano. She specializes in "fixing" "broken" voices. Before lessons with Moira, I could not sing above the staff line. I now sing high-C. She is amazing! If you want to be the best singer you can be, take lessons with Moira! You won't be disappointed!
Dr. Susan Carter-Fricks is the kind of person you hope for in a voice teacher. She is supportive, knowledgable, and is willing to work with you to reach your singing goals. I highly recommend her for voice lessons!
Pat Brown is a most dedicated teacher to all of her students. I had a few voice lessons in college, but I did not improve very much. Having always been the accompanist, I was ready to learn how to sing, and Pat taught me so well that I was ready to go out and teach privately myself after 4 years of lessons with her. In all I took lessons from Pat for about 12 years. She has the experience and education that anyone would want in a voice and piano teacher.

It is my pleasure to write this recommendation on behalf of Theodore Rulfs, who was my daughter's classical voice mentor/ trainer for over a year. We met Theodore through our church and could not have been more happy with his acquaintance and, furthermore, his gentle and knowledgeable guidance of our daughter in her pursuit of classical singing. Sofia was a Junior in high school when her training started with Theodore, and had already been the lead in several school musicals at that point. She now attends the Classical Voice program at Florida State University, having received a talent-based scholarship from the school to attend. We credit Theodor, in addition to Sofias hard work and dedication, with that success. Theodore assisted Sofia not only in refining her voice, but in preparing for her Conservatory entrance exams, which she had both in the United Kingdom, as well as in the USA. He assisted with all levels of that preparation, including coaching the video and live auditions, and spending hours of time and great emotional investment in her selection of songs, poise, and presentation. I might add that he even volunteered to go along with our family to the final filming of her video audition, showing not only his professional investment in our daughters success, but his emotional investment, care and generous cultivation of seeing her dreams come to fruition. Theodore multi-lingual technical and interpretive voice lessons to Sofia (German, French, Italian and English) spanned from initial evaluation of her skills to creating an individual plan of training based on her needs, and constantly monitoring that in both her Classical and Broadway-Musical performances. Throughout this process, Theodore kept me frequently up to date, with individual chats, emails, and even sending me as her parent, articles to read and musical links to watch, so that I might properly guide my daughter. Theodore furthermore, encouraged Sofia to ensure balance in her life between her studies, music and social time. He was a great advocate for keeping fit, and for the positive impact of creating a core strength that not only would be important for her voice, but for her emotional well-being.
I take voice lessons from Mariah and she also teaches piano, which she plays beautifully. She has a small comfortable studio in her home. Mariah has helped me more than I have ever imagined, I have physically felt my voice change and it has gotten so much easier to sing. I hardly ever lose my voice anymore, and I feel like I can sing any song now using her methods. She is always on time and flexible when I need to change the day or time of my lesson. I highly recommend Mariah as a voice coach or piano teacher!
Mrs. Miller is an excellent voice lesson teacher! She has helped me a lot with my vocal abilities, and she has also been really fun to be around ☺️
I have loved my experience with New Song Studio so far!! The owner is amazing and I also really like my voice teacher. Very professional and sweet people. They really care about helping you achieve your goals. I'm an adult wanting to get back on track with singing and I am really encouraged to be a part of this studio. I highly recommend it!!
Karen is a phenomenal voice teacher! I've had teachers before but no one as intuitive and knowledgeable as Karen. She knows alot about music and is really an expert on the voice. I was having some voice problems and she realized that is was because of my tongue and my jaw. We worked on some exercises and now my singing has really improved. Erin
Hi, my name is Caleb and I'm a vocal performance graduate from Delta State University and a vocal performance graduate student pursuing my master's at University of North Texas. During my years of study I have taught a wide variety of skill levels including opera, musical theatre, pop, folk, rock, and sacred —which has led me to be a versatile singer/teacher while still providing sufficient instruction for each individual student. Also, during my years study I have worked with great professionals such as Kumiko Shimizu, Elvia Puccinelli, Susan Youens, Roy Howat, Tom Cipullo, Ryland Angel, Liza Stepanova, and I currently study under the infamous Richard Croft. Congratulations on taking an interest to further your musicianship. The hourly rate IS negotiable, but will include instruction in reading music, singing with proper technique, aural skills for intonation improvement, and the list goes on and on. I'm a versatile teacher with much experience in performing and teaching almost every genre of music. This will allow you to run the show as far as which direction you want to pursue as a performer. I'm available to drive to you, but the cost of the lesson will go up if this is the case. However, taking voice lessons will ONLY improve your sound as a singer, and if we agree to work together, I'm positive you'll notice results in no time. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to contact me.
I am a professional opera singer who has been traveling and performing with opera companies and symphonies since 1998. I have sung in every type of situation imaginable and through most types of potential setbacks vocally (illness, allergies and fatigue). I have developed strategies for vocal care and maintaining healthy technique that have become what I live by in my current performance schedule. From beginners learning how to breathe to singers wanting to perfect their craft (vocally, musicality and interpretation), I can provide insight and improvement over time.
I have had great success in teaching my students the love of music and I have a very high retention rate because of this!
I believe that a long, healthy, and happy path as a singer (at any level) is founded on a healthy vocal lifestyle. Understanding how the voice works as an instrument can be a complicated concept for young singers to grasp. As a classically-trained professional singer, voice teacher, and National Center for Voice and Speech-trained vocologist, it is my joy and conviction to pass along what I have learned about vocal function, health and preservation in order to help YOU be a healthy, informed singer.
At Circle Studio we work one on one with each actor. There is not another studio in this area that can provide that kind of unique service. The private acting sessions are tailored to each actor's specific needs and goals.
If you have unwanted piano lessons, come to me. It's a great pleasure to meet anyone. Everyone is welcome to come and learn about piano, singing and talking; and I like to talk about errors. You should always be willing to talk about anything you want.
I teach private voice lessons in my home studio. I am willing to drive to student's home for an additional fee.
