Cranky Oldman says, "I'm very pleased with my bathroom remodel by S-N-S Remodeling, Dan Shannon, and his highly capable crew. I needed a lot of advice on how to maximize the use of this very small space and Dan really hit the ball out of the park on this project.Besides age, space, and lighting, a big issue we had was that the shower was recessed about 6 inches into the foundation and also had a dropped ceiling. We did not know what, if anything, was inside the drop. Dan found that the dropped ceiling was just empty, unused space and added that back into the shower compartment. He also added a much needed in-shower light. He brought the floor of the shower up to be appropriately level to the floor which was something we really wanted as stepping into and out of that dark, wet 6-inch recess was sometimes treacherous.Dan's excellent planning provided us with about 3 or 4 more inches of much needed counter top space without making the room feel crowded. The very well-made custom cabinetry exceeded my expectations. Dan's use of recessed lighting, a low profile toilet, a custom-made cabinet above the toilet, and the larger tiles with fewer grout lines all contribute to maximizing the use and the feel of the very limited space in this room. The tile work is just beautiful. Every tile was cut and every edge was hand-beveled on-site as needed for a perfect fit and finish. The paint was sprayed so is very smooth and even. And, of course, Dan and his crew repaired and replaced anything they found that was water-damaged behind the walls in this 60 year old bathroom. They cleaned up behind themselves daily.I really could not be happier with this remodel. Thank you, everyone!Now, let's talk about that 60 year old kitchen......"See more

About a year ago, while searching online for a general contractor to renovate a home of mine, I came across Brivenca Builders and decided to take a chance and hire them to do the job. It was a 2600 sq.ft. home in a high rise building and we completely gutted it and rebuilt it. Fast forward one year, and we have now completed three projects together.

Edwin and his team are professional, timely, meticulous, and very easy to work with. I have always been able to rely on them to manage, and get the job done, and done right.

I have worked with other General Contractors over the years who are a little less expensive, but, I have learned that you get what you pay for, and in many instances, I end up paying more in the long run trying to fix their mistakes.

- back of my house

As first-time home buyers doing a complete house renovation project, New Generation Contractors is the perfect company to work with as they were flexible, patient, communicative, meticulous, and exceptionally responsive. 


Flexible: We had a tight timeframe since our previous lease was running out, but Jerry and his team were able to work with our schedule/situation. Also with notice, NGC was able to work around the other contractors we had doing smaller jobs around the house. They were also flexible with our payment methods.


Patient: With it being our first house, we had a TON of questions about the process and/or if we noticed something a little off to us. NGC had no problem taking the time to explain and/or correcting any issues.

Communicative: Jerry was thorough in his explanations and if there was a potential issue, he would make sure to make you aware PRIOR to correcting it. We noticed some contractors will just do the bare minimum and attempt to patch it up/work around it until it becomes a possible problem later.


Meticulous: It became clear immediately that Jerry was very detail-oriented as he would catch things that we didn’t even notice or think of. This was one of my favorite things working with NGC as I have a very similar personality, and it taught me a lot just speaking to Jerry.


Responsive: After going through the house renovation process, I would absolutely say that this is the top quality to have as a contractor. In this market today contractors are extremely busy and I get it, but as a customer, you would want the people you are working with to be present (especially if you have an important, time-sensitive question). Jerry and his team were this and more. He would actually be at the site performing the work and not just send his guys to get the job done. If we needed something, he was just a text/call away and would get it figured out for us. We sincerely appreciated that and this is one of the main reasons why we will continue to work with NGC on future home projects.

We highly recommend New Generation Contractors and we hope this review helps you when looking for a contractor on any of your future home projects.

At first we were excited to work with Ido and GEI Renovation Group. The first time he visited on-site, we didn't have our plans in order. Rightfully so, Ido said we should talk once we had all our plans.

Fast forward about half a year. I sent a text message to Ido to see if he would still be interested in our small project as I finally had all the required plans and even pulled all required permits in the City of Houston. We met the next day and he went over all the plans. We were supposed to receive a quote about a week later. More than a month later, 3 or 4 emails sent, 4 follow-up text messages and absolutely no response.

A simple reply to ANY of those communication methods would have been nice. Even if to say he couldn't take on our project, his workload had increased too much, or the project was too small in scale.

Instead, we wasted valuable time trying to get a response and quote from someone who just isn't professional at communicating.

This is a long overdue review, but we just bought our first house in June, 2020. I shortlisted a number of contractors and although he is not the cheapest, I decided to go with GEI and Ido for their positive reviews on Google and Thumbtack.

I appreciate that he's willing to work with my changing requests in the middle of a stressful pandemic and his crew did a great job in some of our most important projects: replacing our bowed ceiling and siding, as well as painting the new siding.

Although we only met a couple of times, communication was not an issue, and after speaking with his crew, I can see that he did a good job in treating his employees well which earned him their respect that translated to quality workmanship.

One important thing that I wished I had known was that they do not work on Saturday, which I fully respect that, but it has delayed our project and costed us a few days in hotel because they tore up the ceiling on Thursday/Friday and it was idle on the weekend. Had I known about it before, I would asked them to start the ceiling project on Monday so everything is done in one week.

Overall, I am happy with their delivery and would recommend you to at least check him out for your renovation projects.
