when i was planning my wedding i realized "hey, i need help"! As most of us do in this day and age i turned to facebook lol I (jokingly) stated "can i just hire a wedding planner! Low and behold i had a response, and it said yes you can! I was given Shalamar's contact information. My initial thought was, no way! i cant afford a real wedding planner, but when i had my first meeting with Shalamar i was pleasantly surprised. The cost was within my budget for what i needed ( i only needed day of coordination) and my first impression of her was ... comfort... she put my mind at ease, very attentive to what I wanted and how i wanted everything. She asked questions, as many as she had to and took notes! I knew i was going to be ok! Most brides know we want things how we want things and when we cant be there to overlook things it is extremely stressful. Shalamar helped take that stress off my shoulders. She was there front and center for rehearsal and taking notes as to who belongs where and with who. Day of wedding she was at the church even before i was, and made sure flowers were in place and people were in place. My bouquet was wrong, wrong and wrong, well she found the flower lady and had her fix it. easy fix but for a bride its the end of the world lol. When we got to the venue, again, she was already there and everything was in its place. The last minute items i had for her were put where i wanted. She had a schedule and was on it! She made sure everything went as it should, even had her assistant to help, because as you know one person can not be in 2 places at once! She made things even easier for us when she made sure she got our gifts into our vehicle before the end of the night. All in all she was the best facebook response i ever got! I am so very glad i had the opportunity to hire her! She was on point and for a person like me, pick, she was my perfect fit! Thank you Shalamar for everything, thank you for treating my special day like it was your special day and making sure everything was perfect!

Beverly was terrific. Everything was discussed by phone and email. Since the wedding planning was long distance, planning and payment was handled by phone and email. She perfectly copied my concept photos and gave us exactly what we wanted. She was professional, friendly, arrived on time and had competitive prices. The flowers she used were great quality, fresh and beautifully arranged. Since we had a small reception and her arrangements were pretty much the only decorations, we were so happy that they were interesting and beautiful! We are so happy to have found her. If you are reading these reviews to help you decide if Dilshan is the right wedding planner for you, I want you to stop right now and call him before someone else books him. All joking aside, working with Dilshan during my brother's wedding was such an enjoyable experience. He has all of the great qualities that an elite wedding planner should have. He is quite possibly the most organized person that I have ever met and he coordinates everything with a calm and confident demeanor. Having worked with several other wedding planners in the past, I can also say that Dilshan has other qualities that make him stand apart from the rest. His warm personality and helpfulness showed that he cared about my brother's wedding and all of the people involved in it. Several times during the wedding day his gratitude went above and beyond the duties of a wedding planner. At the end of the wedding he even gave my mother and nephew a ride back to their hotel so that the rest of the wedding party could continue to celebrate. He is not a good wedding planner. He is the best. Book him now, you will not regret it.

I'm a PA girl that was trying to plan a wedding in Oahu to keep it close to home and family. I didn't think I would need a wedding planner since my family is there and I am pretty creative myself. I thought, obviously, I wouldn't need one. I also thought it would save more money for me to do it all myself. It sucks that I was wrong on both ends. Why doesn't anyone tell you this before you rip your hair out? I was still pretty skeptical even when I walked in to meet Chavah - but I walked out of there a free and happy woman. I thought I was just going to hire her for the day-of package but when I saw her work I knew needed her for more. She basically took all the horrible stuff that I didn't want to do (scheduling appointments, organizing contracts, payment schedules, blah, blah, blah) and just asked me what I wanted and what was within my budget. What a difference from endless emails and calls back and forth from florists, Caterers, bakers and on and on. Chavah had a list of vendors that she had worked with organized by who was the least expensive to who was the absolute best. We figured out what things were the most important to and hired the best caterer and the things that were the least important we hired the less expensive vendors. She was amazing. I have never heard of any other wedding planner doing this! She really cared about what I wanted. We even cut out the monogrammed napkins and added a monogrammed light for over the dance floor. The monogrammed light was actually cheaper and made such an amazing difference. And who cares about napkins anyways! It was just on my "wedding list" I got on the internet. Never trust the random wedding stuff from the internet. Hire a professional. It is totally worth it. After several florist meetings I decided to just go with Vida Chic for my flowers as well. She charged 10% my lowest quote from other florists and they were so gorgeous. She is a magician.

Wolf Weddings is awesome and Ravin did an outstanding job with my wedding! My husband and I work all the time and really procrastinated on getting a planner. I was fortunate enough to have my future in-laws help with a lot of the planning but knew it would be unfair to ask them to do this the day of my wedding as well so my husband and I decided to hire someone. From the instant we met Ravin, we knew we wanted her to plan our wedding. The whole process was very easy and simple - she even came to our house for our meeting. The entire time, I was really thankful we had her there to take care of really everything and I will be recommending her to anyone!

I cannot even begin to tell you all of the ways Custom Staffing made my wedding amazing. From the initial consultation they made my new wife and I feel important and taken care of. WOW! Where to even begin. Kim was absolutely amazing from the start. She worked with us throughout the whole entire process of our wedding and knew exactly what we wanted - a fall themed wedding. She is a pro at decorating, especially weddings, and had the magic touch on placement and making due with the space we had. Anytime I had any questions at all she would get back to me promptly and would relieve any stress I had. Kim truly has the vision and made my wedding a dream come true. As a bride, we want our day to be perfect, and it could not have been any more perfect than it was thanks to Kim, her assistant Elaine, and the other workers that helped set up. They also provided take down/clean up and day of coordination. I wasn't considering a wedding planner/day of coordinator until we met with Kim and I am so glad we hired her! Everything went smoothly and my husband and I didn't have to worry about a thing. We truly got to enjoy our day and have gotten handfuls of compliments on how magical and beautiful our day was. Wedding planning is similar to event planning in that a planning team handles the coordination of multiple wedding elements including catering, venue, guests, entertainment, decor, transportation and more. Anyone who has ever been involved in a wedding can confirm that wedding planning is hard work. Experience brings wisdom when it comes to avoiding or resolving day-of challenges. There is no legal regulatory body that oversees or certifies wedding planning as an industry. Anyone who chooses can call themselves a wedding planner.     How much do day-of wedding coordinators cost?

    A day-of wedding coordinator makes sure that every detail of your wedding day goes off without a hitch, and deals quickly and quietly with any last-minute emergencies. For many brides, the day-of wedding coordinator is their best investment! The average national cost for a wedding coordinator is $800 to $1,000. Although full-service wedding coordinators often charge a percentage of the total wedding budget, most day-of coordinators charge a flat fee plus an additional hourly fee if the day runs long. For example, a 15-hour day-of coordination costs an average of $600, plus an additional $45 per hour if the coordinator works more than the planned 15 hours. Another option is to hire a coordinator to manage the last-minute details leading up to the event; for example, 25 hours of month-of coordination costs an average of $1,200. Several factors affect the cost of day-of coordination, including the region, the planner’s experience, and the specifics of the wedding. If the ceremony and reception are in two different locations, expect to pay more than if they’re in the same place.     What should you ask a wedding coordinator?

    When you hire a wedding coordinator, you want to make sure he or she gets you and can execute perfectly your vision of your dream wedding. To find the very best fit, it’s important to ask these five questions:

    • Are you available on my wedding date? If the coordinator isn’t available on your big day, there’s no reason to continue the interview — unless you’re willing to shift your date to accommodate their schedule.
    • What’s average cost of most of your weddings? If the coordinator’s usual wedding is outside your range, they might not be the right coordinator for you. Ask whether the coordinator requires a minimum wedding budget. In general, the wedding coordinator’s fee should be about 15 percent of your budget.
    • What is your speciality? Some coordinators specialize in day-of coordination, some create the overall vision, and others act as a producer. Make sure your wedding coordinator provides the type of services that will most help you create the event you have in mind, such as selecting vendors and handling their contracts, or managing the guest list and invitations.
    • What are your ideas for fulfilling our wedding vision? After you describe your dream wedding — rustic or sophisticated, traditional or funky — the wedding coordinator should be able to suggest appropriate venues, menus, decorations, etc..

    Do you have a portfolio? Ask to see photos of their favorite weddings, especially if they’ve managed any that are similar to what you have in mind. This will help you see if you like their style and if their ideas seem fresh and creative.

    Do I need a wedding day coordinator?

    Even if you’ve handled every detail of planning your wedding, you might appreciate having a day-of wedding coordinator in your corner. Usually, the coordinator meets with you a few weeks before your wedding to put together a detailed timeline of everything that needs to happen on your wedding day. Then, on the big day, the coordinator makes sure everything goes according to plan — and handles any emergencies that pop up, such as party crashers, missing tuxedos, late vendors, disappearing bridal party members and more. Most wedding coordinators also handle:

    • Distributing the wedding day timeline to all of your vendors.
    • Coordinating all of your vendors, including the photographer, florist and baker.
    • Conducting the wedding rehearsal.
    • Helping the bride and her wedding party get dressed and take photos.   
    • Checking floor plans, lighting levels, cake placement, menus, favors and more.
    • Collecting the wedding gifts and keeping personal items safe and accounted for.
