John is always on time, is always prepared, and is always eager to teach. My 5 year old can barely contain her excitement when he comes over. I am amazed at how much she has learned at such a young age. John encourages family participation during her lessons which is something that I fully agree with. Music in our house is a family affair. He has an obvious compassion for teaching young children and it is very obvious with the method he uses to teach them. He makes music fun. I am a middle school teacher, and would highly recommend him as a music teacher with your children too. As an adult student in guitar, John is always listening to my wants and needs. Melissa A. says, "I took piano lessons from Christi for around 8 years- all throughout elementary school, middle, high school, and I even returned while I was attending college for a bit. Christi is a wonderful person all around, and extremely talented and experienced musician. With her background in teaching preschool, as well as playing piano and cello professionally, she is a piano teacher for students of all ages! The way that she has her students practice playing makes it manageable for kids with multiple extra-curriculars, and she was usually flexible if we had to re-schedule, and offered lessons all throughout the week at many different times. While I was taking lessons, she had a nice piano room in the back of her house that was quiet and private- we were able to do my lessons undisturbed even with her 3 dogs (which she always kept away in case kids were scared, etc) Christi was always offering different types of sheet music, and sometimes would even find specific songs that I wanted to learn. She would also help me one-on-one with my concert band music while I was in high school if I needed help. I would recommend Christi to anyone I know! I had a wonderful experience taking lessons from her, I learned so much. She truly loves music and it really shows."See more
