I took piano lessons from him for 10 years. He is a wonderful teacher and friend. If I lived closer to Dallas I would continue to take lessons from her today!

About

I teach a classic method of piano, and teach beginner to beginner-intermediate students. I have a degree in music from Texas State University (about an hour from Austin, TX, one of the music capitals of the world!). I've been playing piano for about 18 years now, and I have been teaching piano lessons, both in my home and in a public studio, off and on for about 12 years. I am classically trained. I am familiar with many classical composers as well as traditional hymnals and some contemporary music. More specifically, I don't teach chord sheets, but if you have a piano book with the notes and it's not necessarily classical or gospel, we can still learn the pieces. I teach on a full-size Yamaha digital piano complete with three foot pedals, and I have a large collection of sheet music for you to peruse. It is required that you pay for the cost of your lesson books (these are yours to keep), and have a piano in your home to practice on during the week in your own time, to come to lessons prepared. Any copies made of my music for your use is 10 cents per page. *If you refer a friend, you get $10 off one month of tuition. If you have more than one person in your household who would like to take lessons, we offer a family discount (call for details).

About

I have been giving lessons for 16 years. I teach beginners to advanced students. My main emphasis is preparing junior high and high school students for TMEA auditions and UIL competitions in preparing and mastering language/diction, musicality and sight singing. I also teach performance etiquette. I myself am a professional singer with over 20 years of professional experience in performing concerts, recitals, church music and theater.

About

Private keyboard and theory lessons are given. I am very goal oriented. I provide at least one recital every year and strongly encourage participation in the National Piano Playing Auditions held annually.

My teaching background includes a B.S. degree in education and music. I have been teaching for over 30 years. I really enjoy teaching on all levels, but especially children. Whether a student has had no previous experience or is playing on an advanced level, we will find the appropriate music and have a great time doing it! Beginner students do well no matter what their age, and are encouraged by what they can do. I use an exciting approach to piano that helps each student grow and learn. This is a fun and practical way to discover the piano.
